Quana and the West Bank and the new warfare

One of the problems with the Qana stiry was the entire A/P and Rueters crew were made up of local people. In the middle East the local powers often dictate who can ccompany Western Jornalist as translators. In Lebanon this may be a prudent practice as Hezbollah has been known to kidnap people.

The problem is that we are in a new media war age. The use of photos out of context was a notable tactic from the Vietnam war. There is a famous picture of what appears to be a South Vietnamese General executing a civilian. The story ends up in the US papers but the fact was that the person executed was a communist terrorist who just killed a family. Welcome to the new age of media wars where at the drop of a hat self righteous types will blame Israel even after a series of hoaxes become evident.

The question is if Fatah controls who translates for Western Journalist are they dictating the coverage. Is there a similar arrangement betwen A/P and Hezbollah?

Of course there is! That's the missing link right there -- the stringers, cameramen, and so on were approved by Hezbollah, to ensure that reporting would be favorable. After all, it always is, right? Surely that's no coincidence that only local people who could be relied upon to say the right things would be allowed on the scene! Good post!

The media are willing to be used by the vermin because they are on the vermin's side. It doesn't really matter which band of terrorist vermin are being covered, the unholy alliance between the left and the moslems makes the news a total joke. NEVER believe the reports coming from the filthy moslems. They are pure propaganda - a giant infomercial, if you will.

So true and so ignored! The hand that controls the means of "truth" and "facts" getting out controls hearts and minds. Why else would the leftistas seek the control of all media and schools?
Good morning and G*D bless!

Has anyone else seen any kind of PROOF that the IAF actually HIT the building in Qana??

The best I have seen is one report that there was a large crater NEXT to the building???? (outside of the expected VERBAL reports of the IAF hitting the building) The details about this crater aren't obviously an Israeli weapon?
