The Example and Wisdom of Rob Bayn and Florian

One of the reasons I m feeling somewhat better about blogging is the example and memories of Rob's history here. Rob and Justin are two of the most beloved and respected members of our community, but it wasn't always so. Rob and I met on a left site run by a decent fellow John Howard. I never expected Rob to follow me to this site. I never imagined that he would be so widely loved and respected.

Maybe at the Cyberroast on Sunday Rob will explain to us his first impressions. I think that some people who are outside he community like Rob was get the impression that this is a small site.

Recently, Rob underwent a major change in his life. I was worried at how our community would react to that change. Worse yet I was wondering who was going to be our popular culture emissary. Would the new Rob still watch American Idol and would he loose that sharp wit. I could not have been more wrong the reaction of TMW was expected. However, the entire community accepted Rob as a brother. Many of us are not aware that Kuhnkat sent Rob a message of support. I am still the recipient of many of Rob's puns, so any fear of Rob being dehumorized was misguided.

Florian pointed out the early history of this site. There were many critics of this site. The most nasty was a creep from FPM Socrates and another named 167. Sock is still on FPM haunting the boards. This site has bloomed and Donal has set up a decent site that is growing. 167 has been through several blogs and sadly fell victim
to his own arrogance. His blogs had the most hits when he was fighting with me. However, when he banned me and deleted posts his site became predictable. He went through a few sites. Sadly, he has health issues and politics aside I wish him a long remainder of his life.

I have always mentored Florian and tried to help him grow. His interviewing skills have improved and I have to see if I can arrange an interview or two there. There are still plenty of people I would like to interview.

1 Jason
2 Mark Alexander
3 Woman Honor Thyself
4 Jams
5 Sonia
6 Pim's Ghost
7 Mike of Mike's America
8 Zinla
9 The Other Batya
10 Kuhnkat.

An interview with Kuhnkat might set a record for calling me a moron. I can assure you that we will not need a laughtrak if that interview ever happens.

None of this would all be possible without the support of Warren who is a brother to all of us. For now I will have to assume more of a leadership role. Those of you who
I communicate with off line are aware of the circumstances.

Mister Beamish in 08.

Beakerambo was dejected about being turned down for the job of Bad Eagle Mascot. It seems Dr Yeagley has higher standards than we do and will not employ an incoherent mascot.

Here's hoping the KuhnKat does an interview!

Kuhnkat is a good friend and has a great personality. His message of support to Rob was genuine and from the heart.

An interview with Kuhnkat might set a record for the use of the word Moron.

having not been to fpm for quite some time, i happened by there yesterday and they have a whole new set of rules to play the game and it's a wonder anybody even posts there anymore - rules are good, but a couple of them seem almost archaic.

I'm glad to here you saying "our community" again. No community is without disagreements..sometimes strong. But as long as the objective remains the same, a real community will withstand any disagreement.

Personally I think the world of Rob and Kuhnkat well let's just say

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The blog is too high profile and I would like to lower it a tad.

Imitation is the highest form of flatery.

I honestly wish there were a middle ground. Myself and MZ did make an honest effort but the gulf was too wide.

Our community will do fine.

Beak,

You are addressing me, but I dont see my comment. Maybe John Brown is right about censorship at your blog.

Perhaps its because I criticized President Bush and the NeoCon conspiracy?

In light of this I am preparing for the worst. My will is made up, my debts are paid, goodbyes are now being issued. This oppressive US government cannot tolerate patriotic dissent.

It is no small wonder that the US invaded an innocent country like Afghanistan which only harbored weak genocidal terrorists and an extremely repressive government.

Only the US could invade a sovereign nation like Iraq, which only invaded a small country (Kuwait, another sovereign nation). You uncritically toe the Neo-Con party line by pointing out that Iraq did have WMD which they have used on civilians, but refused to allow the UN to confirm the destruction of those weapons. That doesnt mean that real patriots cant lie by calling Bush a liar.

Since your blog does not appease Islamic terrorists, Baathist fascists or Communist dictatorships I find it to be very hateful. Mass murderers are mothers and fathers so they have feelings too. We should forget about their victims and concentrate on promoting the interests of their killers. DeBaathification will only lead to the marginalization of murdering fascists and their supporters. We cant afford to let that happen.

If a group of people use terrorism instead of dialog we should always appease them and ignore those who negotiate without violence. If we use peaceful means then the world can forget about Tibet and Burma. There is no reason to help peaceful people when there are terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine that need our help.

I demand a Kuhnkat interview.

The guy is too cheap to buy his own blog (it doesnt get any cheaper than free), so this is the least he can do.

beakerkin said...

He does seem to be the pick of the audience.

I offered to sell my blog to Kuhnkat for a nickel, but he balked at the price.

Thank you for the nice comments about my blog. It would help if the damnable apt. building we live in hadn't relocated us for 3 weeks while they redid our electric. The computer--and browser I had to use (Mozilla) was miserable to blog with, so I lost ground. I'll try to be better about making the rounds. Y'all have written to Warren, I trust?

Is this bust on Kuhnkat day. I think Ducky has been the recipient of the

HAHAHAHA You Moron line the most but I am probably in the top five.

nanc said...

just when did he call you a hahahahahahahahaha, you moron?

nanc said...

p.s. i'm sure he's said it under his breath to me before...

beakerkin said...

He's done that to me on Civil Unions and I think the human capital bit.

It was good thinking of Warren to leave Nanc in charge. I am too combative and serve best in my current capacity.

nanc said...

i doubt you'd have much of an audience if you did a yeagley interview and i think it has nothing to do with standards - he is a snob or he would do an interview and allow us to see what standards he possesses - if nothing else, it may bring his readership/participation up.

There is a Beakerkin Dr Yeagley interview on Bad Eagle. Beakerambo did not meet the language proficiency standard and looks dreaful in Native American Attire.

Beak,
I think Ducky has been the recipient of the

HAHAHAHA You Moron line the most...

At my blog, Duck once called a point-of-order on KuhnKat's signature "HAHAHAHAHA, You MORON!" I told 'em to work it out.

Until that point, Duck definitely held the record as the most frequent recipient of the above signature.

So you would like to interview me! I would be happy to answer any questions. Nothing is off-limits. One condition: I will post the interview on my blog as well. My e-mail address is sonia_belle987@yahoo.com.

We can do it one question at a time, if you want...
