Cryptozoology is not all Bigfoot

Cryptozoology has a bad name due to its association with such oddities as Bigfoot and the Lochness Monster. However, some crypto-zoology does involve looking for known species in places they are not known to inhabit.

When I went looking for Muhlenberg's Bog Turtle in Vermont this is an excersize in cryptozoology. This species does exist and is rare but as of yet has not been found in Vermont. It does appear in Maine and in places in NY State. My odds of finding one are not good as it is nocturanal. This combined with its habitat could be the reason it has not been found thus far.

Remember most Vermonters have seen a Moose once or twice in their lives and have never seen a Black Bear and both live in the State. It may not be so far fetched that a six inch nocturnal reptile may be present in the state, especially given that it inhabits bogs.

although i couldn't find this particular turtle by googling - i did find plain old bog turtles and they may be found in these regions:

and if anybody MUST see what a bog turtle looks like:

nevermind, here's one:

I do not have the urge to do farm animals so you are out of luck. I also do not do requests so either way you are out of luck.

Nanc

Cmuhlendergi is the ultimate Herp mystery. It was thought to be almost extinct but then found to be nocturnal. Wood Turtles, Blandings Turtle and Spotted turtles are all very rare. The Spiny Soft Shelled turtle is rare but found easily in Alburg.

I've heard it takes a cryptozoologist to find a leftist that can string together a coherent argument, but I think that's bullshit. There are no leftists that can string together a coherent argument.

Steve

The Cupacabra is part of the bad side of crytozoology and seems to be an alcohol related phenomenon.
There are people up here who swear they saw Champy but I am a sceptic.

Mr Beamish I think that you are correct. The top poster doesn't even put in an argument, not that it is coherent.

It seems that the Hilary camp is in a snit. I think they should get their message out.

Beak,

"Fuck you" is the best leftist argument I've ever read. Well, "eat shit" is a close second.

My coworkers and I were laughing about that one.

i mean - WHO couldn't feel a two inch creature crawling around on them?!?! for crying out loud - i can feel if a seed tick no bigger than this "." lands on me!

Nanc being sober does have its advantages. There was probably some alcoholl involved with the scorpion.

Mr Beamish not only is this a stupid troll. They put the insult on a non political post. Even Janice the retard knows better than that.

The above F you takes no talent.

A DRUNK SCORPION?!?

nanc said...

why, that's alcohol abuse!

Turtles are beautiful creatures. I'm not quite sure why I think so, but I've loved them ever since I was a child.

A scorpion on the loose on an airliner in Vermont? Strange!

Good Beamishisms here. After the long day I've had, Beamishisms assure me that there is still some sanity left in the world.

History channel docu's about Bigfoot, Loch Ness, UFO's etc...are a guilty pleasure of mine. Making me well versed in junk science, lol.

If the airliner had been in Florida, it could have gotten on in luggage or cargo. We do have them down here, just not a whole lot.
