A Shameless Promotion. Rob Bayn and Justin Morris in the Hot Seat

Two friends of this blog are starting an internet radio show. Now the mix of Conservative vs Liberal has been tried with decent results on radio. Curtis and Kuby have a ratings winning formula in NYC. The Buzz with Richard Bey and Steve Malzberg ran for years.

Longterm readers need no introduction to Justin and Rob. However, Justin is a Vietnam Veteran, a Chaplain and a father from Texas. Rob is your rare patriotic liberal who loves America, but thinks it is on the wrong course. I consider both to be personal friends and I look forward to their appearences on the blog.

Show Questions

1 How and where can we find your show?
2 Have you lined up any sponsors?
3 Are you still working on a format? Will it be debate? Will it be about Pop Culture, Politics or a melange of everything?
4 Will you be lining up guests? Is there a possibility we could see a guest cameo with Warren or Esther?
5 Will humor and satire be part of your format.

Questions For Rob

1 Are you really into American Idol? I find the whole concept a bore. I would rather have a show who wants to kick Simons tail?
2 Contrary to stereotype you like football and are religious. What are your feelings
about art pushing the envelope? Are some art forms tastless?
3 Who has the worst franchise in sports right now? The New York Knicks are a good candidate. I think they may be the first team in prosports history to have a General
Manager on the back pages for misbehavior.
4 Do you watch family oriented films like Shrek? Is this an under appreciated film type? Do films have to be controversial and cutting edge in this cynical age.
5 What is your view of the 9-11 consipacy types? Are we dealing with mental illness?

Questions for Justin

1 Do you and Rob (to a lesser extent) feel that sometimes far left types speak in your name? Most of the Gay people I knew in NYC were ordinary people. They did not run around in a self absorbed anger and had the same concerns as everyone else, family, job, bills and the economy?
2 You have traveled to China. What are your thoughts on China and the future.
3 Describe an Armadillo to non-Texans? Is it a cute pest like a Woodchuck? A tasty meal if prepared with Mesquite? Is it part of Texas lore?
4 What are your views on vocational education? Should we place a greater emphasis on this in the future?
5 Is the creation of Utopia in this world a serious problem? Are people who consider
Utopia a possibility in this world dangerous?

Hold on I do remember that Armadillos carry leprosy. I do not know how anyone knows it is greasy.
I don't think of Armadillo as table fare. In nature it fills the role of the beloved woodchuck.

It has been consumed by those I know, it was barbequed. Lets the grease run out and helps the flavor. Possom is greasy too! Sorry, Possom, just means I won't be looking at you when I get hungry! Armadillos may be cute, but they can destroy a garden with their rooting around.

Show Questions

1 How and where can we find your show? http://www.xcessradio.com
2 Have you lined up any sponsors? yes currently we will be sponsored by Queer eye for the Jihad Guy
3 Are you still working on a format? Will it be debate? Will it be about Pop Culture, Politics or a melange of everything? Pretty much we will both just talk out of our ass. Actually the format will be discussing the issues, often we will probably disagree, we will tackle sensitive issues, other people are afraid to tackle. We plan on bringing on guests in the future.
4 Will you be lining up guests? Is there a possibility we could see a guest cameo with Warren or Esther? IF there's a will there is a way!
5 Will humor and satire be part of your format. Do you know us?

Questions For Rob

1 Are you really into American Idol? I find the whole concept a bore. I would rather have a show who wants to kick Simons tail? Yes Iam and i love Simon, he is a real asshole, which reminds me of myself which means he is just great!
2 Contrary to stereotype you like football and are religious. What are your feelings
about art pushing the envelope? Are some art forms tasteless? Ok let me clear up, religious means one thing to me, and i would not consider myself religious, i do have my beliefs and my doubts. As far as sports goes i love it. As far as art goes, it's freedom of expression, whether its tasteless is in the eye of the beholder.
3 Who has the worst franchise in sports right now? The New York Knicks are a good candidate. I think they may be the first team in prosports history to have a General Manager on the back pages for misbehavior. Knicks have a historic legacy, i just think you new Yorkers are hard on them, try being a lion fan and get back with me. As far worse franchise, i think the Lions take the care, but that's all in opinion
4 Do you watch family oriented films like Shrek? Is this an under appreciated film type? Do films have to be controversial and cutting edge in this cynical age. No, in order for me to watch a movie, it must have nudity! In all seriousness, i don't watch kid movies all that much, unless it is somewhat decent, Shrek bored me, Ice age was decent though.
5 What is your view of the 9-11 conspiracy types? Are we dealing with mental illness? A mental illness would be believing what ever anyone tells you as being the truth, whether it be far left types or the government. 9-11 Conspiracies are to be blamed solely on a administration that has been secretive and lied very often. Conspiracies would have no breathing ground, had this administration, been more honest about their role in 9-11, and their failures.

Hey Beak, sorry about not posting in a while but it is a busy time of year now we are having to prepare for our fall and winter markets.

Am looking forward to working out the format for the talk show portion with Rob. I think if we stay away from religion, politics, art, money and global warming we will not be killing each other.(laughing out loud)

Now to the questions.

1.No, I dont feel that others speak in my name as anyone who knows me knows that could cause serious repercussions. I have never had time to be self absorbed by anger as anyone who has raised two boys could attest to. The Job, the bills, the school programs kept me quite busy. And I did not have time to get caught up in all the I'm being discriminated against crowd.

2.I find China to be burgeoning threat economically not only to the U.S. but globaly as well. The rate that countries like the U.S. are exporting their jobs to China can and will at some point pose a serious economic disaster. Exporting our manufacturing base to China will lower our living standards. After all when people dont have jobs they cant buy the high ticket items. Now we are exporting our service industry jobs to India. We are allowing our borders to be over run by illegal immigrants who take jobs at below minimum wage. What will be left for the American People is very little.

3. An Armadillo hmmmm a rather odd creature that looks like it was designed by a committie of nitwits. It is armored yet can be dangerous due to the fact that it carries leprosy. They however are a huge part of Texas lore. We mainly find them as road kill and take them home BBQ them and they do taste a lot like chicken.

4. Vocational education is very important however, Im not sure it will hold true much into the future because what types of vocations will be available and still left on the Continent. Already many Americans are having to go over seas to take jobs in fields they have chosen.

5.As one who does not believe Utopia ever has or ever could exsist I find people who hold such ideas not only dangerous but ignorant to the world around them. They are the type that do not accept responsiblilty for their own actions. They blame others for their failures and they cannot accept that they actually have to contribute to the socioety in which they live.

I hope that everyone tunes in I know I will. Now about that sponsor....... that show has possibilities. Now I will remind you that anti- social behavior is very messy. One can not look fab in bloodsoaked clothing. So ditch the anti-social stuff and look FAB.
I can see 1 billion people pissed off at that joke.

Esther would make an ideal guest down the road. Warren also has a great sense of humor.

Rob lets roll this back on the Lions. Sure they have been bad for a long time. However, they have not had to worry about their General Manager getting locked up.
This may be a first in Pro sports history. The Cincinati Bengals may win the Superbowl and have the most players appear on the TV show cops.

The Merry Widow said...

Beaker- That was baaaaad! It's hard to win the SuperBowl wearing leg irons! And when half the team is wearing prison garb it can get confusing. LOL!
Good evening, G*D bless and hope everyone had a good Labor Day!

Hey Justin, you like my avatar? It's a Warren!

beakerkin said...

The Bengals have a head start their
players are allready wearing stripes and their mascot is caged.

How many Bengals does it take to screw in a light bulb. Zero the Cincinatti jails use flourescent bulbs.

Are people who consider Utopia a possibility in this world dangerous?

For an armed robber, a complacent disarmed public is "utopia".

All the morons pitching utopian schemes ignore certain type of people that appear in any large population sample.

shrek is NOT a kidz movie! what about these songs?:

Artist: The Proclaimers Lyrics
Song: I'm on My Way Lyrics

"I'm on my way from misery to happiness today
I'm on my way from misery to happiness today
I'm on my way to what I want from this world
And years from now you'll make it to the next world
And everything that you receive up yonder
Is what you gave to me the day I wandered

I took a right, I took a right turning yesterday
I took a right, I took a right turning yesterday
I took the road that brought me to your home town
I took the bus to streets that I could walk down
I walked the streets to find the one I'd looked for
I climbed the stair that led me to your front door

And now that I don't want for anthing
I'd have Al Jolson sing "I'm sitting on top of the world"

I'll do my best, I'll do my best to do the best I can
I'll do my best, I'll do my best to do the best I can
To keep my feet from jumping from the ground dear
To keep my heart from jumping through my mouth dear
To keep the past, the past and not the present
To try and learn when you teach me a lesson

And now that I don't want for anything
I'd have Al Jolson sing "I'm sitting on top of the world"."

and the beauty of:

Artist: Rufus Wainwright Lyrics
Song: Hallelujah Lyrics
Copyright © 1985 Leonard Cohen and Sony/ATV Music Publishing Canada Company.

"I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty
in the moonlight
overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne,
she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe I've been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

There was a time you'd let me know
What's real and going on below
But now you never show it to me do you?
Remember when I moved in you?
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe there's a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah"

shrek is one of the best - i like what you've done with that boulder...don't get me started...
