Dershowitz on the Holocaust

Chutzpah is a generational view as my father's generation seems to hold views quite similar to Alan Dershowitz. The role of Poland and the Holocaust is complex, but my father's generation as well as survors talk of complicity. I am reminded that a member of my family was among those who perished in the Keilce poroms after the Holocaust. I do not blame today's Pole's or Germans who have absolutely nothing to do with the crimes of their grand parents.

That being said the anti- semitic element in the Polish American community Dershowitz describes must be very minute. I have visited Greenpoint and worked with first and second generation Poles and never run into it. Every community has its nuts
and crack pots. The nuts and crack pots of the Jewish community are Chomsky, Finkelstein, Koevell, Elis and Lerner. Dershowitz seems to carefuly omit the common denominator of our crack pots, communism. How Dershowitz neglects to point out that Chomsky warped idiotic comments stem from a Marxist view point remains unknown?

Dershowitz details Chomsky's role in promoting a French Holocaust Denier. The key to Chomsky's defense is that the Holocaust deniers claim that Zionist hype the Holocaust. Thus Chomsky's protegee accamic fecal matter Norman Finkelstein makes a similar argument and is a Holocaust minimizer. The abuse of genuine history should come as no surprise as Commies are quite fond of rewriting history. Why Universities would employ people with such a proclivity towards duplicity remains unknown.

Dershowitz also takes on Buchanan who is a classic anti semite. Buchanan is a nut who runs to defend every Nazi war criminal. Dershowitz details the evidence against Demanjuk and it was conclusive. On a more odd note, why would the KGB wait fifty plus years to manufacture evidence to convict an autoworker. Buchanans other remarks
about a busload of kids trapped in a DC tunnel casting doubts of carbon monoxide poisoning are part of a general pattern of anti semitism. Thus when Buchanan rails about Neo-con cabals, he is reinforcing a well westablished pattern of anti-semitism.

Dershowitz would probably not be hired today because of his pro-Israel views at most Universities. Moreover, even prominent author Julius Lester recounts the abuse and problems a pro-Israel accademic has in a Black studies department in his book Lovesong. Today Prof Lester teaches in the Jewish studies department.

Dershowitz tels many great truths in his book, but he leaves the ultimate source of mindless anti-semitism untouched. To paraphrase Slick Willy "......Its the Commies stupid". Any discussion of mindless anti-semitism without the culpability of communists misses the mark.

Dershowitz is still entertaining, but he needs to scrutinize those on the left a tad more.

No matter what plucky says, I don't read Buchanan, if he is tainted in the Israel issue, he's tainted! I avoid those who are so far to the right that they collide with the leftistas! Besides most of the "christian" far right are into Replacement Theology, which is pure heresy! I won't go there! I love G*D AND HIS People too much to go where they are denigrated! I make no bones about the fact that you put down or marginalize HIS People you are denying HIM!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

I've been told that actual victims of the holocaust were somewhat ashamed of and reluctant to tell others about having survived their experiences in the camps and never really started talking about it until the 60's, when Liberals turned "all" victims into heroes. I guess the Liberals decided that Jews weren't "oppressed" enough in the contemporary society at large to be "representative" heroes... and therefore heroes in the eyes of the masses. It must be because many remained alive, and weren't killed, as the Left prefers its' "victims" aka "heroes". The holocaust survivors actually had the guts to survive. And that takes a real hero. Someone too powerful and independent on their own to entrust their future survival to the promises of "governments" and the Liberal politicians who control them. People with the courage to live and fight back. People who refused to docily controlled. Zionists. Neocons.

Buchanan's run on CNN's Crossfire with Michael Kinsley once epitomized the dearth of conservative opinion in the broadcast media. That's not so much true anymore.

This is not exactly the way it was.
Most of the time it just never came up in the conversation. The fate was known, but the time for reflection wans't right.

I remember hearing the survivor stories in the 1970's. The experiences were real and Holocaust survors were friends and family members.

I do not see the problem with traditional Liberals like Dershowitz who has a great grasp of history even with his near blind spot about Marxist anti-semitism. The problem is Marxist being true to form have always been anti-semitic. Even in the USSR well before Israel was created Commie finks had a problem with Zionism. The Venona papers indicate the intense effort to spy on zionists in the USA.

Dershowitz had a very lively debate with Meir Kahane about 20 years ago, and I must tell you that Kahane clearly won. If you'd like to hear it for yourself I will post the audio link - it runs about 45 minutes. While I don't consider myself a full Kahanist - more a Kahane light - he is absolutely right the vast majority of the time.

Dershowitz ever try to get some of those repsonsible for the Yezhovschina brought to justice?

Or is he busy with 80 year old men and shaking down Swiss banks?

Ah, Beak and the "never again" crew.

But Beak, Stalin killed 75% of the Chechens and Ingush and now you want to kill some more. You sound like a genocidal pig.

Not much chance that Dershowitz would even be invited to speak at an Ivy League school much less offered employment.
My father's side of the family is Polish, having immigrated to Yonkers New York before World War I. I don't have that many memories from his side of the family. I cannot recall any anti-Semitism but I'm sure it would not have been out in the open.
ducky..looking forward to another subway series?

get used to it, its only going to get worse. As the influence of religious based morality continues to decline in this country and the rest of the world, the old horrors will come back, and have already made an appearance.

As the rest of the world rushes to kowtow to the Islamics, only America
holds fast because of the small but influential group of non-socialist Jews like you and MZ, and the Christians like me and NANC who see the big picture.

But how long can we hold out? The rest of the country would rather put their heads in the sand.

Mr. Beamisn...I believe Buchanan's run on CNN was more of an aberration then anything to do with conservatives or the media. I think it's simply was done for the ratings and when they dropped, so was he.

American Crusader,

One of my favorite drinking games is to take transcripts of Buchanan / Kinsley Crossfire episodes and see how many people can tell which one is more leftist.

Mr. B.- I believe that at a certain point a rightist goes so far they collide with leftistas! The lines become blurred and you can't tell the difference. The difference that makes no difference, is no difference!
