I will prepare a set of questions tonight. So far the interviews have come out very well.

Ducky's segment came out very well. Rob was somewhat nervous but had fairly positive feedback. I had to talk Rob into an interview.

scratch #26 - beak already asked it.

Pat Buchanan calls himself a "populist" because if he called himself a "national socialist" people would say "no shit."

Stephen Schwartz of the Center for Islamic studies does not consider the Nation of Islam to be Muslims.
The Koran does not say anything about spaceships, mad scientists named Yacub and the creation of white people in testubes.

I want to point out the division Anum points to. The Mad Zionist and I could sit with Mr Beamish and watch a football game.

I have no problem having lunch with Justin Moris who happens to be Gay. If Nanc eats a Ham sandwich this is her choice.

This is roughly what I expected and I felt it was a fair interview.
Yet I share the sentiments of Nanc and Mr Beamish about Shariah.

This placing oneself apart from the community is a problem. There are Chasidic Jews who do this on a smaller level but not to the extreeme.

My coworkers private lives and cuisine are their choice. This interview raises perplexing issues
but I am thankful to Anum for sitting for an interview. I hope he thinks it was fair.

ok here goes.
Art
1 A recent visitor has claimed that Renoir is over rated and unoriginal do you agree with this assesment ?
no, but much art after his time is over rated.

2 What Schools of Art are you a fan of ? Do you prefer individual artists ? Have you any thoughts on the newest artictic craze sweeping the nation classic Beamishism ? I am not, and have never studied Art. I have read a few books on it but always thought they were rather like books that teach you how to make love, you really should get someone to teach you in person or learn by doing. I will say I HATE almost all impressionism. Monet looks exactly like what it is. Flowers painted by an old man who could not see.

3 How would you describe your style of art ? Learning

College
4 Is the faculty in your college overbearing close minded leftist of the type Horowitz describes ?actually no,
I have had some very left wing professors but found them to be very interested in my views. When I went to college the first time, many years ago it was much worse than now.
5 Are there consevatives in the scool paper ? One, but the school paper is pretty bad.
6 Are students who are far left just yes men ? Have Conservatives stolen cool and hip from the left ? This charge enraged an accademic on Front Page Magazine ? It is not that they are yes men. The few i ran into who had very left wing views could not tell you anything important. Not like a real person like Ducky who can give you reasons for his views. they just sprouted off a bunch of Chomsky slogans.
7 Are student leftist guilty of groupthink ? Is it important to be your own person ?
see above answer

General

8 What sports do you watch ? There is only one specator sport American Football, both college and pro. Baseball, basketball, hockey, you will be assimilated, resistance is futile.
9 Do you drink imported or domestic beer ? Have you seen this odd beer He- brew ? We are looking for a brave individual to try this beer. This blog is not responsible for the probable bad taste of such a product .
I would gladly try it. My beer prefernce is Dos Eqquis Amber, or Michelobe Amber, and I like mild beers like Coors and Bud as well. I hate bitter Euro and micro brews. I drink a little red wine occasionaly, but I dont really like wine very much.
10 What is your salted snack of choice ? Craklins (a cajun food, and definitly NOT kosher)(or good for you)

Blog related
11 What blogs do you read weekly ? Excluding this blog what blogs stand out in your opinion ? ( Hosts that seek yes man type responses are loathsome )Annika's journal, Red state, Right wing news, of course MZ, Fark, a few others. I actually got started blogging with Andrew Sullivans blog, untill he became a frothing at the mouth insane nitwit.
12 Is your blog style still evolving ? yes, I like to post more political views, but I need to also espress myself about pop culture and sometimes personal things. I love feedback but do not yet get as much as I like.
I try to post at least every other day.
13 Are ratings a big part of your goal ? Self promotion of ones own blog is part of what blogging is about.
To me, more so than others, I have a goal, I am writing a novel (almost completed) I have written a screenplay, and I have started a cookbook, and a non-fiction book. So my ulterior motive is to get better at writing and to meet people online who might help me get published.

Taxes Taxes Death and Taxes in the Afterlife
14 Are Beer, Alcohol and Gasoline taxes too high ? No, I would like to tax gasoline at about $3.00 a gallon. Just because i am a conservative, does not mean I like pollution and being dependant on foriegn oil. Plus I drive a handy little car and I get run off of the road all the time by fat women in big SUV's with cell phones sticking out of their ears.
15 Are the above taxes aimed at rural and working people ? I don't see that connection.
16 Would you favor a tax on junk food ? No, because who is to decide what is Junk? Are Corn tortillas Junk food? Here in Houston we almost live off of nachos.

Church vs State mayhem
17 Do public displays of religion bother you ? NO, (in all honesty displays of Islam do sort of alarm me, but after all the attacks and mayhem I suppose that is an emotional response. We have lots of muslims here)
18 Are you in favor of prayer in school ? Not organized by the teacher, But a non-sectarian prayer before a ball game for instance cannot possibly be an establishment of religion to anyone who is being honest.
19 Do advocates of secularism seem angry ? The ones I run into are in a constant rage.
Oh absolutley, and if you read any internet forums about religion the most hateful and intolerant remarks are always by the atheists.
The future or cracked Crystal Balls
20 Do the rise of India and China concern you, China somewhat, India, no. Infact India is our most natural ally in asia.
21 Is China an ally, friend, foe, trading partner and should Americans pay more attention to human rights abuses in China. We should be cool toward China untill there are substantive changes in their regime. We should put steady but reasonable pressure to liberalize. Eventually they will. The cabal of septuagenarians there cannot hang on to power forever.
22 Are we seeing the decline of France ? Has France been in decline and not figured it out yet ? What impact has Socialism had on the recent riots ? There is IMO no hope for France and much of western europe. They will continue to decline untill the growing numbers of muslims change their society beyond recognition. They have lost the will to defend their culture .

Immigration
23 Have you encountered students on visa ? Do they enrich the accademic experience or is this just more PC foolishness ? It is a mixed bag. Like the native student body they tend to be on the average older than they were when I first attended college. We have some Asians who, true to steriotype tend to be the best students, but we also have very god students from south america. Then there are the Euro's they tend to be less serious.
24 Are you prepared to throw the book at companies that hire illegal workers ?
Yes, but it wont happen, My recommendation, learn Spainish.
25 Has Pat Buchanan become a populist ???????
No he has become insane.
Bonus Questions
Are people who wear body paint at sporting events an eyesore ? Only if they are sitting right by you.

Excellent interview Kyle. However, remember the Beamish school of art is the rage at this blog. If you get a chance take a look at his blog.

Beamish is a genius.

Beak I promise if you keep your hands on the table at lunch everything will be ok.

I am commenting on a question that you asked of me at my site so I know this is not the subject.
You asked me if I thought the Jews were behind the attack on the World Trade Center.
Only a very few Muslims with think this. Osama bin Laden has publicly taken credit so to believe otherwise now is ridiculous.
Also you should know that the majority of Muslims are not celebrating on 911. You must know that when you see mass demonstrations on the television that they are politically motivated. In Pakistan there are many tribes with complicated alliances. Sometimes you are told to protest something even though you don't even know what it is about. Most of these demonstrations are not really even against the United States even if there is a flag that is burnt. These demonstrations are for to be against our government.

I have a couple He-Brews in my fridge. They are left over from a friend who brought them down from NY for me to try. How are they? Uh...beer doesn't last in my fridge for 3 months unless it really sucks. Bitter, chalky, nasty aftertaste.

nanc said...

beer doesn't last at all in our fridge as it is off limits to beer - now the ice chest on the deck tells a different story each day - EMPTY! nancpop loves his beer, so keeping it full is a full time job so he can work on keeping it EMPTY!
