Book Review Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man

The book goes over familiar themes that all of us should know. Michael Moore did not grow up in Flint. Michael Moore is a lazy disgusting oaf whose statements are idiocy.
Michael Moore is a shameless self promoter who uses fake methods. The best part of the book is Christopher Hitchens dismemberment of Farenhieght 9-11.

I will add my own Michael Moore story. Moore likes to ignore relevant facts and only the brain impaired like 167 buy this BS. The tragic story of Kayla Rolland was presented as welfare reform causes gun violence amongst kids. Left out were the relevant facts the kid lived in a crackhouse and his father was doing hard time.

One could make any sort of linkage in the case. The kid in question was driven to shoot his classmate because the store ran out of two ply toilet paper. Another hypothesis is that he was driven to violence by listening to Snoop Doggy Dogg songs.
All these theories are as absurd as the one Moore advances.

The fact that a company makes rockets in Columbine has zero to do with the crime that follows. If a criminal likes Tang it does not follow that Tang causes crime.

The book is on sale for six dollars and is only recomended as a bargain basement deal. Save your money and go to KFC or go to Taco Bell.

Mr Beamish in 08, Ducky to migrate to Rikers and 167 to go to Boro Park and lecture the Joooooooos about his theories. He will then need medical help to remove a fur hat from his posterior.

I mentioned this once before on another blog. I tried to watch his Columbine "documentary," and found it to be grossly staged, one-sided, and juvenile. It seemed almost to have been done by high school kids who wanted to desperately sell their point of view to others of their way of thinking. In my humble opinion, he has no talent, only money and like-minded followers. It never occured to me to see 911.

Anything done by Moore looks and sounds juvenile to me.
He is a clever manipulator and a ruthless businessman, who's found a great market niche.
And he almost looks as he really believes in what he preaches.

"michael moore is a big fat stupid white man" is one of the best books of this decade! loved it and am passing it on to my children - although they think he's stupid anyway.

i did notice quite a few of the moore-on's videos are in the bargain bin at wal-mart if anyone would like to buy them for target practice - warren would like this - they're cheaper than skeet or puppies.

Michael Moore sat in the guest of honor spot at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

Anyone who voted for any Democrats in 2004 or since should turn themselves in to the FBI for supporting terrorism.

Many years ago, I saw the movie "Roger and Me", moores first piece of crap movie. I decided then that Moore was distinctly unfunny, like an unprincipled Allen Funt.

Somewhere I have a list of the 90 something lies he told in Bowling ....

My son (28) saw Fahrenheit 9/11 and told me it was the most blatant political propaganda he had ever heard and told me not to watch it because it would just piss me off.

I took his advice.

I personally liked both those films, people can debate the facts of the movie, and it's a obvious one sided point of view, but i found them to be entertaining.

I understand the rights obcession with people like Moore, because the right has no insane people spreading right wing propaganda, well except for Rush, Hannity, Oreilly, Fox News, Coulter.

well, there's a whole bunch of skeet at wal-mart just waiting...

Robert, It has often been said that people are entitled to there own opinions but not their own "facts". Moore is in the business of manufacturing, "facts".

robert--my only obsession with moore has more to do with the question of how anyone, other than the most radical leftist, can take him seriously. If one knows (and how can they not know) that he stages his films to fit his agenda, how is this documentary at all? I believe therein lies what you perceive to be the right's obsession with him. Regarding Hannity, he at least has Colmes to offer a counterpoint, and O'Reilly invites others to debate him. None of these people you mention offers his or her work as a documentary, only their opinion. FoxNews is simply a conservative-leaning counter to the mainstream media, which certainly does not offer anything apporaching a fair and balanced reporting. Just when I think you are a clear-thinking liberal, you come on defending michael moore's work. I will give you this, however. You say it's entertaining, which implies at least that you don't necessarily accept it as real documentary.

Kev,

I will give you that on Oreilly, i acutally consider Oreilly to be rather fair, although he does have a conservative agenda, no one doubts that. Hannity does have Colmes, Colmes however is a pussy in my opinion.

I do apperciate your honest in saying Fox News does lean conservative, many people on the right won't even admit that.

Moore does not make real documentries, anyone who goes to one of his films and thinks it is a real documentry is a idiot. I defend Moore's right to make whatever he wants, that's all part of my beleif in freedom of speech, people are free to think he's a idiot, i just think their entertaining.

Robert--we have no disagreement. Ha, ha, I surely agree that Comes is a pussy and I was afraid you'd mention that argument. Anyone who doesn't admit that Fox leans conservatively is either blind or silly. Fox is my balance to left-leaning msm. I have spoken with liberal friends who do believe moore's works are documentaries, but these people are union rep's, so what can you expect? And I, too, defend his right to do and say what he chooses. I only object to his misrepresentation. I appreciate the conversation.

The editorial writers of my local viewspaper, The St. Louis Post Dispatch did the typical leftist two-step. They renounced Fahrenheit 9/11 and hoped it would persuade people to vote for Kerry, in the same article.

These are the same people who are holding out on condemning communism until it's been tried in America.

If the mother was making enough money, the boy would NOT be in a "crack house", he would have been in a childcare center.

Are you a psychic that the kid would not have been in a crack house. The kids whole family was involved with crime. At best it is a guess on your part. My guess is if they had two ply toilet paper the kid would have turned out better.
