Seriously Duck Whats Up with the Gays???

Single minded Zealot Ducky seems to view the GOP as a "Homo haters" club. Gay issues are not at the top of the political agenda of the GOP. They would not even make my top ten issues.

The top ten issues for Beakerkin

1 The ecomony
2 Terrorism/National security
3 Iraq
4 Getting Originalist Judges/ No ACLU types
5 Defense
6 Immigration
7 Educational reform
8 foreign policy
9 Housing
10 Respecting Property Rights and no Nanny State

I do not know of a single conservative who obsesses about Gays. Most of the discussion about Gays on the religious level is about respect for scripture. Even Rav Roov who is an Orthodox Rabbi would never dream of harming a Gay or anyone else. However, he doesn't want a freak like Bader Ginsburg telling him he must marry Gays.

Gay people have plenty of congregations that welcome them. Sadly many of these congregations
seem more interested in Marx than Jesus at times, but it is better than nothing. We have also been down the marriage bit as well. Marriage is a term defined by religion and government should respect religious terms. Civil Unions would carry identical benefits and not intrude upon interpretations of religious terms. In other words get freaks in Robes like Bader Ginsberg away from Scripture.

What is with the Ducks be all end all obsession with Gays? Even Rob and Justin probably would not rate these issues higher than four.

Pretty much.

I do know of evangelical churches who welcome sinners of all types, though these churches do not promote that sinners continue practicing sin.

Christians view homosexual sex and illicit heterosexual sex as a sin, and I can't find anything in the Bible excusing those sins.

Personally, I don't see any reason to obsess over one particular sin. All sin is an abomination to the Lord.

Another attack here and would you reverse that order?

For myself at the moment--on a personal level--our economy is my number 1 issue. Such has been the case with the fed reserve lowering interest rates for us savers and with Mr. AOW's having lost his job last month.

Ducky's Here said...

1 The economy

I'm doing fine. If I were a Randoid I would vote my self interest and go Republican. I have cash and I can profit in the next bubble. Meanwhile most R's will take the tinkle down supply side stuff and get screwed raw.
Can't fault me that you're dumb.

2 Terrorism/National security

Of Israel. We know where your allegiances are.

3 Iraq

None of the candidates are going to move us out of there. We'll be paying for another decade. Meanwhile folks are using their gift cards at Walmart to buy food.
The economic reality may force a change but I doubt it.

4 Getting Originalist Judges/ No ACLU types

That's strange, because Ruth Ginsberg is considered the most thoughtful judge on the court and least likely to be activist. High respect for stare decesis.
Meanwhile Beak supports affirmative action mediocrities like Slappy Thomas. Go figure

5 Defense

Of Israel. We know. Bigger welfare checks.

6 Immigration

Neither party will stop it. The housing slump is probably doing more to limit it than any legislative action. We lose both ways. Enjoy McCain who acts in the tradition of amnesty like that doddering piece of sheepdip, St. Ronnie Raygun, the right's hero.

7 Educational reform

I bet you support mom and apple pie also. Details please. If you can't come up with anything better than "leave it to the market" you won't get much of a hearing.

8 foreign policy

Details please. You stupid enough to want to invade Iran. Why not have the Likud pussies take the casualties for once?

9 Housing

What the hell do you mean. Support tinkle down economics and tax cuts that GUARANTEE the next bubble is larger and more damaging than this one. Another reason that right wingers should be denied the vote. Economic illiteracy and general ignorance.

10 Respecting Property Rights and no Nanny State

This from a government employee who can't cut it in the private sector? Bore me later.

I don't give a big rats ass about the gay issues myself. All things considered, if I had to choose a candidate based solely on that issue, then yeah I would probably support the Dems. But that is so far down on my list I doubt it would rank in the top one hundred, let alone in the top ten.

Ducky, Ducky, Ducky,

How can you be sooooo cruel to your fellow travelers with such mean hearted accusations.

Why, just today I was reading the Log Cabin Republicans have "come out" in support of John McCain for President!! The SF community is taking notice!!

Additionally Shuckabee has indicated that if he doesn't win the nomination himself, he would accept an offer of the VP spot from McCain!!

Now, how big is YOUR tent???

Don't worry, they will allow you under theirs. Just be careful of your tail feathers!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

In case you have forgotten, McCain is AGAINST a ban on same sex marriage!!

Ever notice how a Politician cites Constitutionality when they are AGAINST something, but, never check when they are for SOMETHING??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So, are you voting McCain Ducky, or are you too INTOLERANT to accept an Evangelical VP!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

By the way, I hope no one is surprised by any of this!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Who's on the ballot for the Constitution Party??

AOW....that's the rub, most churches welcome sinners but don't encourage or condone it. So many people don't understand that, or think Christians are sinless, or that they think they are! Man, is that a hoot.

As for putting terror after the economy, it's a choice I hear many voters made; my feeling is that if there's not a bigger fight against terror, we won't have an economy to worry about..or a climate that needs fixing. Well, it'll need fixing, but far bigger fixing than any global warming nut ever thought, huh?
