Flynn's A Conservative History of The American Left part 2

Flynn moves on to discuss American followers of the French crank Fourier. Several communes started and all failed because the far left dreamers ignored human nature
while passing intellectual gas.

We see attempt after attempt by idiots with no concept of how agriculture works attempt this madness. A commune founded on a dairy farm with poor soil end up importing Milk.
Another one called Fruit land produces no fruit.

Flynn also describes Fourier's ego mania and imbecility Fourier claimed adoption of his system would alter the ecology of the planet. Oceans would desalt and the Siberian coast would be like Naples. This sounds on a par with the idiocies espoused by Al Gore.

Typical "u"topian fantasies, they don't work because it requires "perfect" humans...and we certainly aren't!
The ONLY way a "commune" works, if at all, is based on FAMILY. Then there are common goals by the fact that the individuals have another and stronger bond, and that is improving things for the next generation!
But then, communist/socialists believe that children belong to the "state", so that breaks a natural bond.
Foolishness!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Beak,

I am surprised a bit here.

Is this an actual book?

I thought from the title it would be a pamphlet.

I do expect Beak to comment on the significance of socialism in the founding of the state of Israel.

Well, actually I don't. Socialism and terrorism were absolutely critical elements in the states founding and Beak doesn't have the juice to research the issue.

This is an amazing book. Thus far it is enjoyable, informative and comedic
in places.
