There is a big meeting in two days and apparently I along with eighty other coworkers have won a stay of execution until the end of January. This does not help me so much as I will still be a GS9 in a market saturated with 11 and twelve candidates.
Should a guest worker prgram start I would be either extended until the end of my four years or be granted a chance to test for a full four. Sadly forty of my friends and coworkers are eliminated on September 30. I now know why I wasn't given a shot at a test for a permanent job. HR was trying to save as many of those slots for those forty. Of the eighty several of them only get to serve mere months before reaching year four and termination. This is as deranged as Logan's Run but that is the government at the end of January they will evaluate the situation again but I do remain eligible but five months shy of an eleven and that would put me equal to Grad students who have zero experience. A twelve would allow me to compette with lawyers.
I want to thank those that placed a prayer for me. I will get to endure the begining of a brutal Vermont Winter. I may drive on Rout two to Maine or look for Hazen's Notch on Sunday.

The consequences of intimidation and press conivance
Many of of are learning that Rueters has suspended Adnan Hajj for doctoring Beirut Photos. The question is why isn't he being fired. This is not a question of incompetance or a regretable mistake this is fraud. Does Rueters even care about its own version of Jayson Blair.
A larger question should be why is Rueters even relying on Adnan Hajj and other locals at all. This is a direct result of the Hezbollah spate of kidnappings of Westerners. Even in the PA translators must be approved by the government. Are we getting honest news or State sponsored media approved by Hezbollah.

No Exageration at all
The locals like to talk about challenging VT roads but the talk of rt 108 in Smuglers notch is no joke. Vermont has two sets of mountains the familiar Green and the more stately White Mountains. As I prepare for my return home to NYC I embarked on a mini adventure.
The road through Smuglers Noth is breathtaking but nervous and unskilled drivers should go elsewhere. The last time I did make it to the top but the roads are even worse on the other sise narrow and windy and your safest bet is to stay as far to the right without smashing into rocks. This is all predicated on the driver going the otherway having similar skill.
I went from Stowe North in search of 105 back home. Well I never found 105 but I did find Eden and the section between Eden and Montgomery is Moose Alley. I finally saw one in the disance in the swamp with my binoculars. It was much more angular then I thought. The mosquitoes were brutal and if you can stay in the car.
On the way home I found Belvedere Corners then Bakersfield and a amazing site on Route 36. Sunset on a clear night overlooking Lake Champlain and the NY Islands is breath quite a view. However it is on a hill that is fairly steep.
I look foward to returning home but I wish the circumstances were better.

Us and them appologies to Pink Floyd
I want to remind people of the differences between our way of life and that of our jihadi and commie enemies. I include commies as they are dedicated to the violent overthrow of the US government.
The United States has a free press and we do allow criticism of the US government. Jihadis and Commies have state controlled media. The mantra from most commies is that we have our own version of corporate media. This is mildly amusing becauseif we did there would be more Conservative news reflective of the market. Thus the NYT has its readership base declining and lurches even more to the left. 167 uses the term zionist media. The zionist media is so effective that it allows fraudulent stories like Qana to get wide play. Now according to the Red Cross the body count remains at 28. The Qana event was staged but how the zionist media permits this is unknown. One will have to ask the brainless anti semite how the zionist media is so dominant but allows hoaxes.
Even Western Journalist must be accompanied by a translator that is selected by the local government. In the case of the AP and Rueters the photographers seem to have been local for security reasons but this presents objectivity problems.
The notion of if we should allow communists into the news business at all in the USA.
Communism is a criminal ideaology with a lengthy history of twisting facts, treason and sedition. It is a movement based upon deception and does seek the overthrow of the US government and the nationalization of resources ( theft). Communists from their inception have pursued revolutionary defeatism. The dominance of Commie front groups in the organizaton of the fake "peace " and illegal alien marches is no accident. In the WW1 era we understood the reality of what communism was and placed people on trial and in many cases deported.
There is the notion of theocracy that the left rais about in this country. A stautue in a courthouse is not theocracy nor is a cross at a war memorial. The Constitution prohibits the establishment of an official state sponsored religion and seperation of Church and state comes from Hugo Black.
That being said I want to remind some people about tolerance. We may not like some unpopular Churches but we should respect peoples freedom to seek God peacefully. This is contrasted with bomb throwing Jihadis who want to kill you, intimidate you or in the last stages extort you. Our country is based on rights and sharia is based upon tolerance and extrtion of non muslims is a right.
I wish to remind Gay bashers that there is a division and lenthy history of Civil law. One may not like Gays but their right to live in peace is part of what seperates us from our enemies. After we persecute gays who is next on the agenda fans of Pat Boone, Abba or the loathsome vile abhorent lifestyle called Red Sox nation. There may or may not be a biological basis shall we persecute midgets, albinos or people with vertical hair like Don King. We should respect gays as fellow human being and let god sort out such matters. That being said religious people have
their right to define their own terms like marriage.
I understand that God is just not PC. The obvious question is who would really want a PC god anyway where almost nothing was wrong. God can not be PC because the nature of religion has a wrinkle akin to ethnocentrism that by itself is not evil. The notion that followers of X have the exclusive path to God is the nature of what religion is. Yet your right to religion ends when it endorses criminal acts such as violence against unbelievers. A person may strugle to get into a tight outfit but jihad does not mean struggle. Nor is there room in America for any notion of religious warfare.
We are Americans ( except for Felis) and our Constitution is our way of life. Far left people try to redefine and create rights that do not exist. The Constitution does protect one from unreasonable searches. However, this does not mean that watching Communists, Jihadis and racial power nuts given their history of violence and treason is illegal, in fact it is a prudent public saftey issue. The notion of privacy is also a myth should I have a right to build a nuclear device in my bedroom.
Of course not but that is a far cry from the government getting involved in the consentual matter of who sleeps with whom. In reality the entire notion of a Government just waiting to charge gays with sodomy was a far left joke. In places like NYC some areas would be ghost towns if that law was enforced and it almost never was. I can picture a bad TV skit CSI sodomy unit but in real life people don't care. Most gays are not like 167 railing at the world and babling incohernetly. The gay person may be the person sitting next to you at a football game or church. They may drive a Harley to the biker rally. Many are religios people and they work in all
vocations. In fact most live ordinary boring lives that are otherwise mundane. We should strive towards respect for peaceful variations of life that are frankly not our business.

Quana and the West Bank and the new warfare
One of the problems with the Qana stiry was the entire A/P and Rueters crew were made up of local people. In the middle East the local powers often dictate who can ccompany Western Jornalist as translators. In Lebanon this may be a prudent practice as Hezbollah has been known to kidnap people.
The problem is that we are in a new media war age. The use of photos out of context was a notable tactic from the Vietnam war. There is a famous picture of what appears to be a South Vietnamese General executing a civilian. The story ends up in the US papers but the fact was that the person executed was a communist terrorist who just killed a family. Welcome to the new age of media wars where at the drop of a hat self righteous types will blame Israel even after a series of hoaxes become evident.
The question is if Fatah controls who translates for Western Journalist are they dictating the coverage. Is there a similar arrangement betwen A/P and Hezbollah?

Clarification of my earlier book review of Richard Poe's the Shadow War
I want to make some points clearer in my review that seemed to have been missed. Richard Poe is a wold class writer and intelectual. When one picks up any Richard Poe book one expects a first class reading adventure. His latest book is an excellent book but he does challenge a meaty subject George Soros.
The prevailing conventional wisdom of George Soros is that he is brilliant but borderline insane. The George Soros portrayed by Richard Poe is calculating, deceptive and naive. Soros is pursuing an economic policy that has failed everywhere it has been tried. Social engineering and income redistribution does not work. Investing in human capital ala India or China does work but it takes time. Is Soros looking for a Silver bullet to solve vexing economic problems or a quick feel good fix.
In general when I disagree with Mr Poe he is 100% correct. On this matter one can be a bit of both brilliant, calculating, deceptive, naive but also off kilter. I do not think the meglomaniacal aspects of Soros came across in this portrayal. Soros seems to think the world revolves around him.
Mr Poe has clearly made his case of the potential danger of Soros and the disaster his global vision would cause.The book needed one more chapter to be a classic. The book is crying out for a chapter that answers the following questions.
What laws has George Soros violated? The prohibition against individuals conducting their own foriegn policy has been trashed by Soros. Nobody elected or appointed George Soros to conduct foriegn policy. Some of Soros's dealing were illegal. Using the media to boost financial strategy is unethical. Is Soros using the financial media to line his own pockets?

Qana the questions linger.
The questions and story at Qana keeps changing. We were told sixty victims and now we are told twenty eight. Bodies do not get rigamortis in seven hours. Traditional burial is in the village but the bodies were driven to Tyre. There appears to be a lack of dust on the rescuers. The same child a little girl is held through several clothing changes of Mr Green Helmet.How does the man seen wailing in a white shirt emerge with a child from the ruble and remain spotless.
I spent two hour on the EU blog an am convinced this was a fraud. Buildings do not collapse without dust.Do note that if the bodies were moved it is a guess as to how the children died. To blame Isreal in the face of a media fraud is a joke.

End of a Dream
Some people live life and do not achieve their dreams. I consider myself lucky to have lived mine. Most of us go to jobs we hate that are merely a means to an end. I consider myself fortunate to have served my country that I love. The job that I performed each and every day up till a recent change is reuniting families. Currently, I am working vocational cases and placing underpaid IT people just doesn't carry the same good feeling.
On September 30 my job and that of 1200 other people will be eliminated. The numbers do not include people who reluctantly took other jobs to avoid the axe. The numbers do not include people who took permanent lower skill permanent jobs at DHS to remain employed. A close friend moved his family 3000 miles and took a permanent job with no potential of a raise to stay with DHS.
Employees at DHS were hired on a term basis and they serve up to four years. The security screening takes more then a year. If you get an incompetent investigator you are screwed. I had a lousy investegator who insisted she come to my current job.
The employer fired me and claimed cause and I had to wait five months to get unemployment checks. The delays in hiring due to the negligent investigator caused
me to lose seniority that would have allowed me to take the tests for permanent jobs. The delays also caused lasting damage in that I did not recieve training that would allow me to serve in my community and make valuable contacts. A close friend moved his family 3000 miles and took a permanent job with no potential of a raise to stay with DHS.
Employees at DHS were hired on a term basis and they serve up to four years. The security screening takes more then a year. If you get an incompetent investigator you are screwed. I had a lousy investegator who insisted she come to my current job.

Book Review The Shadow Party By Richard Poe and some unknown named David Horowitz
I want to state that Richard Poe is a first class writer. He does a freat job showing how the diabolical George Soros and his flunkies have undue influence in the Democratic party and have meddled in foreign affairs. Overall this is an excellent introduction to the wacky world of George Soros.
The book could have been better with two slight missing ingredients.
George Soros should have been portrayed as a meglomaniacal mental case. Instead Mr Poe portrays Soros as Cold and calculating. In truth Soros probably is closer to the funny farm then brilliant. The fact that one is a talented investor does not imply intelligence in other aspects or sanity.
More focus should have been placed on Soros violations of the law. It is against the law for private citizens to conduct their own foreign policy. Soros should be charged and his assetts confiscated and he should face denaturalization for interfereing in foreign policy. Who elected George Soros?
This was a book with great potential that needed a bit more oomph.

My take on the film Obsession
The film needed one hour more to show the collusion of communists like Chomsky with the Jihadis. Communists have bent over backwards to ignore the nazi and KKK implications of Hezbollah. The great myth on the left is that protected classes can not be bigots. Most of us have read enough Uptown Steve to know he is a Commie anti semite who happens to be black. Many of you think that Uptown is your standard black anti semite. Remember he jumps through hoops to defend Commie finks Paul Robeson and Michael Lerner. His basic lines are garbled Marcuse based victim theories. For all his talk about fighting racism he is a phony. When a genuine KKK clown named Alan showed up at FPM Uptown said zero even when the clown compared blacks to Apes. Many FPMs nailed this clown including Tricky Blaine, Mike and Fiona but Uptown was silent. He also says zero when John Brown and Ducky use anti black rhetoric on conservatives. The reason is Uptown is a Red who happens to be black.
I have just read 167's personal blog and he is just low class personified. The truth is that gay men like 167 and his hero Simon " Crank Dot Net " Jones are certainly bigots. The fact that they are gay does not make the vile anti semitism that both spew any less evil. I do note that most gay men are well adjusted people with different tastes. The whole issue boils down to class and dignity. Most of us run G rated blogs. When Jeff Bargholz or Mr Beanish break into profanity on rare blue moons we go to PG 13. Talking about bodily functions and equipment are just low class. Does the audience really need to know 167 proclivities and tastes in men. Most gay people are not cartoon charachers like 167 and Simon Jones. There are gay people who watch pro sports including football and Nascar.
Bigotry comes in all colors and even in alternative lifestyles. I do want to point out this Jew has never experienced any antisemism from Christians. The vast preponderance of anti semitic incedents in my life involve far left types. The majority of Muslims were nowhere near the incoherent foaming at the mouth bigotry of John Brown or 167.The average Muslim in this country wants to earn a living but we still must be vigilant. The notion of a decent Communist is fiction and we should heap as much abuse on them as KKK clowns.

Prediction
I am predicting our Communist Waterfowl will mention Baruch Goldstein when rationalizing the Seattle shooting. The Duck is sooooo worried that outraged Randoids like Jason Papas might offend mooooslims. However, repeated crimes in America by moooslims are rationalized by our incoherent anti semitic waterfowl.
John Brown will create a new alias with the shooters name and find a way to praise the revolutionary zeal fed by the quest for social justice.

Legends of Northern VT The Essex Werechuck.
Rumors abound of a horrible creature roaming Essex VT. On nights with a full moon it is rumored that a horrible creature roams the woods. The werechuck was said to roam the woods in Essex. It looks like a Woodchuck on steroids but alas nobody has captured one on film.
I set out last night at 4AM because I could not sleep. I sat near the parking lot when I heard a large scrapping metal sound. I looked into the moonlit night and saw a quick gilmpse of a cat sized creature with glowing fur. The creature lumbered across the the parking lot in circled bumping into objects making a distinct metal sound.
I ran to get my camera hoping to provide all of you with a glimpse of the rare creature. I moved closer and to my surprise the creature seemed oblivious to my presence. Alas I moved to within five feet of the vile creature created of evil and prepared to get my photo and noticed a ringed tail.I looked closer and it appeared that our werechuck was just a racoon that had caught its head in a tin can.
I showed my friend on the security camera and she laughed and told me it was a canned
coon. She bravely walked up to the racoon and pulled the can off with some dificulty. The exausted racoon just laid down in a daze for about five minutes. She told the racoon in a calm voice it is time to go and it lumpered at a slow pace into the fields.
The poor animal had probably lumbered around for dayss in blazing heat with its head caught in a tin can. Obviously, this is the work of far left types like Ducky trying to create a class of welfare forrest creatures. Any animal stupid enough to get its head caught in a Jolly Green Giant can may deserve its fate.
