Suing Therapists over False Claims

Bravo for the gay community for suing over false claims made by therapists. In a less political world marital therapists with records similar to Dr. Kevorkian get sued. Why would anyone listen to marital therapy from a thirty something who has never been married. Would you take flying lessons from someone who never entered a plane.

It is time the profession was held accountable for its carnage.

i have no idea what this post's regarding but I will say I was stunned to learn today that in California they're prohibiting any therapists who practice the therapy of helping gays who want to be straight. So, not only did those shrinks never proselytize concerning that part of their practice (apparently it was word of mouth), but a gay can't even WANT to see if he CAN be straight. INsane

Seems we go through this from time to time.
The last cult claiming to "cure" homosexuality was Aesthetic Realism.

Outside of a few "pray 'em straight" grifts it's rare these days.

By the way, Beak, the California law only bans aversion therapy on minors.

It does not ban therapy on adults although there is absolutely no evidence it works.

Remember, z is never a good source of honest reporting.
The only objection to practicing aversion therapy on minors and quite possibly doing them psychological harm comes from evangelicals. Big surprise?

I think marital therapy should be held under similar scrutiny. In general we can have a chicken or egg discussion on how well it works.

It doesn't make people happier because telling people unrealistic bunk is the model
