Not Terrible Invitation to a Gunfighter

Yul Brynner was in many movies. You expect a certain type of performance that is nuanced. In many of the films of the 60's especially the late 60's Vietnam must be seen as a back drop. The movie is well worth watching even with dated cliches about class and race.

Brenner never gave a nuanced performance in his entire career. Terrible actor.

He played the roles as they were written and his persona filled the screen. You watch the film and know what you are getting.

He played in the Magnificent Seven films, Catlow and a few other Westerns. He was excellent in the King and I and I saw it as a kid.

Perhaps, I will do a mighty Beakerkin Art Players Satire of this
film called Evicting Commies.

Mr B comes back from Afghanistan to
find his fiance run off with a Communist. He throws a huge keg party with 90's Rock Music. The fiance abandons the commie who calls out the cops he used to call pigs to
silence the noise. The cops join the
party that has now grown larger.

Desperate to maintain order the Commie tries to read Marx and Engels
to a crowd that pelts him with chicken wing bones. Beakerambo show up at the end carrying the American Flag and Blue Cheese dressing and tosses it on top of the commie who runs of blathering about social justice.

The Magnificent Seven is an abomination.
Compare Brenner's wooden performance to the great Takashi Shimura as Kambei in Seven Samurai.
