The wrong door

I recently was up for a promotion. Not a surprise that I didn't get it. The critique of my writing sample was Soviet in style and substance. Unlike most applicants, I took the opportunity to respond as a gentleman. On the Resume alone, I came in first place. As an officer I finnished in the top four. The Soviet style critique of the writing sample was unwarranted. Among the many accomplishments is mentoring top level officers. My two latest students are very highly regarded

Well, your writing is often nearly incomprehensible.

I did not open the door to supervision. My record opened a different path to the training department. The record speaks much louder than I am capable of. As a public speaker my ability is near the very top. I can carry bad material with humor.

It is hard to not lead the charge and to be a tactician. Unfortunately, my talents opened a different door. The truth is my students outperform me when combined. Being a top three guy is not as important as getting scores functioning. We even produced solid results with underperformers.

Most of the training officers are

not as hands on. I intend to actually do more coaching and innovation. My style is optimistic simplification by preaching the basics. I build outwards and do not overwhelm my charges.

My trick is I have been there. I had a terrible bout of stage fight. The top manager asked what was wrong. I told him about stage fright.
You will lose it in minutes regardless of the material. The boss was correct but understanding stage fright helps.

Only because it is above your IQ level. The complaint was not about the quality of the sample. The complaint was about the acerbic tone. However, this is a Soviet style response to a defect. Pretending the defect is not there is denialism.

In my case I doccumented the failures and crafted solutions with proven track record. The review of the writing sample led to a review of the track record and then a closer look at the syllabus. One might argue acerbic style but the results speak loudly.

I am not a top three performer with star potential. These are not my words but those of management. I offered to help a friend who is a better officer but short on charisma.

That paragraph is incomprehensible.

In your writing sample, how many people did you call commies?

If they moved you to the training department it was probably because they couldn't risk having you close to the public and calling people antisemites and commies.

What charge? How many students have to be combined to outperform you?
If they produced solid results are they really under performers?

Your prose is very murky or is that a "Soviet style" critique?

Experience running a sweat shop scores high?

Yes it does, unlike Obama I ran something.

I critiqued the response as Soviet. In this case I tore into two golden children. Using the the district to burnish your resume is a serious but true charge. Note the critique was acerbic not false.

As a top three performer churning out top twenty students is more important . Actually my style is revered by actual radicals. I raise the level of those around me including those at the bottom.

I did offer to assist a peer who is technically solid but short on charisma.

Stunning.

No employee in my district has had a larger impact on the work place.

Then why are you denied promotion and kept away from the public?

I am not withheld from the public

"My ability to be fair was recognized by our local legal body."

This sounds like you were sued by someone for doing your job unfairly, but that you won the case, or that it was dismissed. Is that what happened?
