Sorry to Spoil the Drama

A rather inane spoiled socialite has kept a watch on me for more than a decade. In my case I have never had a dream or wondered about her. The relationship was a mere detail for me no more memorable than dozens of others. If I wished to contact you, I know your address and your phone number, but I won't call or visit ever.

She usually drafted an Aunt to inquire about my whereabouts. If my mother were truly capable I would tell her to say I was deceased so you would go away. On rare occasions she pesters my mother at an extended family event. I never attend those functions. I didn't attend them before we met either. As a relative I am seldom seen and barely mentioned.

After a dozen years you got your chance as I finally was in the vicinity. Unfortunately, I know you quite well and understand there is something you wish to say.I remember how you prepared for these events and rehearsed everything in your mind weeks before. You always had to look perfect to make that connection with people who could care less about you.

 Sorry, but if you think I am  apt to listen, you never knew me at all. I kept you at least fifty feet away by using the crowd to my advantage. No doubt you can spin this into some type of victimization and get some attention from your siblings for a week or at the next gathering.

My life is complete with a loving step daughter and grand kids who adore me. My life as an officer and family man is much better than the time we shared. You can add me to the lists of lost loves and opportunities you bore people with.

I did not accept my cousins generous invitation because I have better things to do.  It was my daughters first day of school and I surprised her by being home when she walked through the door. You can't buy the look of love I get when I return home to my family. Even the toddler old step granddaughters  scream my name as they walk through the door. One cried as I had to leave for a short while to bring back wings and ice cream
for our small party. I had to sit and tell her I would be back shortly. Has anyone ever seriously cared about you like that.

There will be no dramatic scene, no matter how much you desire it. There are things money can't buy or gloss over. You mistake wealth for class and you come up short on the latter. Your mother came from a distinguished family, but your father never worked one day in his life. He is  an uneducated baboon who has no social graces. You have nothing to offer me as you are ignorant, classless, vain, shallow and above all a bore. I would sooner live my life with a real woman who is interesting than you. Our home is humble, but it is filled with love.

I do understand why you dwell on this failed relationship. My family treated you like an equal and genuinely cared about you. You had an intact family where you finally fit in and were valued instead of being pitied. Those family moments with my family where we doted on you meant everything to you. My aging mother giving you a hug is as close to real love as you will get. Your own family treats you like an afterthought and as they are shallow the best you can get is pity.

You will be able to say what you wish only in dreams. I don't dream about you or care about you. The only time your name crosses my mind is when you pester my family. The other day I bumped into someone we apparently knew. I had to be reminded we lived together because I really don't think about you at all. I barely remembered him and we worked together.

Relationships come and go and you were not even close to the great love of my life. If you wish to apologize for something it is long forgotten like everything else about you. Even if things ended on a good note, I would not be the type to permit this type of contact after the relationship ended. I am not one who looks up old friends or dwells on the past. Moreover, as you know women are vain and would not want you around even
if you had noble intentions.

You have a current relationship. Focus on him and forget all of the past relationships. I know some of us yearn for magical moments of passion and family love. You need to create new memories rather then live in the past. If this person is the right one for you than look for someone new.

There are those who state that those Americans who have joined ISIS have effectively renounced their citizenship. In this case it will be interesting to see how the Obama administration handles this. As we have a plethora of Marxists in the administration it is doubtful the government would take such an aggressive stance.

Batman vs John Wayne

Batman is departing to a more appropriate task.He enjoys cloak and dagger and heavy criminality cases. I am not opposed to the heavy hand provided it is done to the correct people. If there is no reason to utilize a heavy hand than proceed as planned.

I do get those nasty cases. In my case I go by the book and evaluate the totality. When a heavy hand is called for I do it because the job dictates it. I follow the procedures by the book. If I make a procedural error, I do not defend an error. It did happen that a case was so heinous I acted with haste and supported the appeal. In this case careful search the regulations supported my original decision. Normally, out of procedural equity I will accede to reasonable requests.

My peer shows no such restraint. He seeks the limelight and uses off the wall interpretations of law. Over the course of my time in NYC I have had to rework numerous cases and the less said the better. I asked a former boss why he was giving me this ridiculous case when it has Batman written all over it. You will cover all the bases and get it done right the first time. Also the opposing attorney will have no grounds for any complaints. My reputation for fairness and following procedures is widely known.

Now some of my peers think I had a hand in the move. Batman himself loves the idea and is line for a major raise. My area is cleansed of his toxic and divisive presence. The damage of his presence will be felt for years. Officers without a clue will waste time and some will follow his poor example. If this is a punishment he is loving every moment.

Those who know me grasp I am not the type to be jealous over the good fortune of others. My way is good luck and good riddance don't call.

One trait that drives me up a wall is boasting. Do your job, do it well for its own sake.  Show class and humility and let others sing your praises.

Exes should remain in the past

I am an advocate of no contact after a relationship ends. To be frank, I don't care and I don't really waste my time thinking about such matters. I would appreciate not seeking out members of my family or close friends and just going about your business. I have no idea why exes have this desire. The notion strikes me as bizarre as anyone remotely familiar with me would get this. i might visit an area where I lived or worked  and buy lunch at a familiar place. I don't live in the past.

My sister in law is a disgrace and a joke. Her running over to an ex is the exact reason my daughter will never see these relatives. My parents have met my family and my nephew can drop over. The rest are not people I trust. My sister in laws stupid reaction was another classic excuse. When that didn't work the reflexive boorish fake piety act kicks in. Of course had she not been classically late none of this happens.

In my case when I bumped into relatives of my ex. I never inquired or brought up the subject. Glad to see you. What type of work are you doing. Nice to see you and moved on to another area.

There are those who post their lives on Facebook. I am private and quiet about my life. I am not the type to reconnect and prefer to remain a mystery.

That was awkward

One thing that is for certain, my sister in law is the stupidest person on the planet. She has the unique propensity to find new ways to piss me off and be totally stupid. Did we remind everyone that if there was a hardcore championship belt for being unemployable and lazy she would win that as well.

My maternal grandmother was a woman of great brilliance and strength. She loved her son who died thirty years before her and was never quite the same. Her wish was that his wife and mother of her grandsons would be interred in the family plot.  It was assumed that she would wish to be buried next to second husband.  Somewhere the plans changed and my cousins had to reach out to my mother to make my grandmothers wish true.

Usually, my sister has to play the role of level headed, but I had to pinch hit.

My cousins were gracious and offered me a car service home. I thanked them and reminded them it was my daughters first day in school.

The touchy situation with the drama queen ex was averted. She stared at me the whole time, but when she wished to speak I moved away. Sadly, she obviously doesn't know me well enough to know that I am not the type to speak to exes or many people. I value my privacy and wish she would respect that.

Sometimes the bosses say what they mean and they mean what they say

Those of  you who are familiar with this blog know I hate braggarts. In general I loathe self described heroes who scream about their imagined expertise. In reality the person was an incompetent baboon who excelled in flinging feces. For seven years I listened to the boasting and the arrogance.

Do I give a crap if the guy gets a promotion? Hell no as long as he is far from my desk and does not foul my presence by visits I am okay. In fact I walk out of any room he visits. He never did actual work and left the rest of us to clean up his mess.

The boss told me the neighborhoods getting better. I may have to shift offices again but who cares. His old boss will likely draft one from my team. The question is if I can talk my boss into cutting me free, not easy.

In general have some class. Let others sing your praises and show some humility. When the top boss asked me to rank my position among my peers I told him top thirty and he told me top five. Dependable people who show up and have a lets kick some $5^&&& are prized more than those who shout from bullhorns and makes disasters.

Never Open A Closed Book

I have to return to the burial grounds for a relative I did not particularly care for. When I walked away from one relationship she served as the eyes and ears of an ex. My mother was not discreet enough to say my whereabouts are unknown.

When a man starts walking with no intention of returning, he owes no explanation. If I had a child, then I would owe support and an explanation to the child. The door is always open and sometimes people leave and keep walking.

In all honesty, I have not spent any thought about this person. The chapter was closed long ago and not meaningful to me. I merely went on doing whatever I chose and lived an ordinary life. Money can buy many objects but it can't buy depth or anything real.

The time was not special to me and I am not the type to look back.

No doubt this person has some sort of drama in store. She always makes big scenes when she meets my parents, but they are bored by her. They will pity and tolerate her for a few moments. I don't do family functions and am considered deceased by those outside my immediate family.

All of us have our regrets and pages we would like to rewrite. In this case the person wants something from me that I will not provide. I have no interest in reminiscing and wish she would leave my family alone. Our time was brief and forgotten and I never revisit it.

I am a father and officer.

My loves are as follows

1) My child, step grandchildren, biological family and Maltese
2) Being an Officer
3) Guyana
4) Junkfood culture
5) Surf Music

This person is not even close to the love of my life. Why she insists on drama and pestering my family is unknown. I don't have answers, because I didn't care enough to think of the question. Obviously her life has been empty and she lives in the past. I went on writing many new chapters, but the best chapters are as loving parent.

Funny, I always thought my finest chapter would be some torrid passion. Yet compared to the dignified love of being a father it is trivial.This person does not have the class to just go away.Pursuing this more than a dozen years is just creepy.

Learned a few things

The ability to speak well publicly is apparently rare. I hate to do this role but apparently I excel in it. If possible it is better for an officer who is closer to the deceased to do the talking. When I addressed the family this was not a canned speech it was something from the heart from someone who knew the deceased. The decision of my boss. to make an appearance but let me talk was correct.

As children we know about our parents, but we know little about work. My daughter knows I am an officer but she knows little about what I do. Filling in the daily routine was important for the children. In the case of the deceased he was modest about his accomplishments at home and at work. He was top notch before illness robbed him of some skills. I did not talk about the decline of skills.

Contrary to the assessment of poultry my ability to prepare a speech on a variety of subjects is considered first rate. I did perform this for a previous boss a few times. The notion of me performing my own material was not considered. On this occasion, I was asked multiple times who wrote that. When one writes legal decisions it makes other types of writing easier. Legal writing is devoid of emotion and comedy, although on rare occasions sometimes subtle  sarcasm will slip through.

As my boss is paranoid, I don't have to worry about assisting in the directors other projects. The current boss clamps down on my contributions because she is insecure and likes to steal credit. She is limited in her intellect to legal thinking and I draw on many and it is difficult for me. She asked for a specific problem to be solved and I used a flowchart to explain why the problem could not be solved in her rigid parameters. It could be solved by changing the parameters of the question. Her boss understood the presentation as thinking outside the box. However, I clearly demonstrated solving the problem with the limitations imposed by the question was mathematically impossible.

Shadow of the End

A relative is near the end in the maternal line. I may opt out of that funeral as matters I left behind are there.
There comes a time a man walks and keeps going. The person is not my mother but a relative on her side. I will have to shelve a longstanding issue and remain silent.

I walked out on that group twenty years ago and kept going. Years later whatever was owed to me was offered. I told the relatives to keep it and never foul my presence with contact.

I likely will no show. I have kept my daughter away from this family and they are unaware of my life as Officer and father of the Sprite.

It is better to be your own man than to be a vassal.

The New Office is dreadful

I spent six years in the suite known as the sky palace. For the most part it was a great run except when a dingbat who likes to party non stop moved in. She brought a bad element into the area and I asked her to tone it down. When she refused out came the music to erase her noise. My music bothered her and unilaterally I gave the CD player to the girlfriend and the dingbat kept talking and talking.

The pit is a dreadful place with a lousy view. I am in an area of low class imbeciles. The view stinks and you need a cab ride to get to the bathroom or fridge.

A six year run in the sky palace is a long time.

I do not expect to stay very long as the team will be reforming in six months and where I sit will be altered again. Window not in this lifetime but the sky palace was more important than a window anyway.

Not a fan of the Pomeranian

I do love the Maltese and he follows me everywhere. He even follows me about the house and into the yard as I change into my shoes.

The Pomeranian views the space under the bed as his turf. Away from that area I typically ignore him and play with the Maltese. I had one confrontation and there will be no round three. As soon as I reach for a hockey stick the Pomeranian clears out fast. I am not letting him near my feet again..

Can't Explain this One

Theoretically, I am mortified by public speaking and can't do it. Oddly, apparently I do it very well and am considered a natural. I would only do this at a funeral for a peer or other emergency. This particular phobia can be tricked by lack of sleep. In this case a phobia requires excess energy to panic. Mild fatigue mutes this problem and I perform naturally.

I went to the funeral for my coworker. I did not expect to address the crowd. However, the bosses told me it would be better for a person who knew the departed well to make the agency statement. Oddly, the adult children loved hearing about how funny their father was. He laughed with you, but never at you.

Apparently, the top managers have noted that I am very at ease with crowds and can perform quite well. I can expect this to be added to my duties.

The last yard

Those of you who know me in private correspondence know I am terrified of public speaking. I will do it at a fallen officers ceremony. I left a copy of the speech with the flag for the family. I was caught off guard when a family member asked years ago. I was not aware that the family might ask and the previous time the speech was written in pen by hand. Had I been aware the family would want the speech I would have provided a clean type written version.

RIP my brother officer.

Stupid Protest Stupid Pot Head Mayor

If you don't want to get killed by the police there is a very simple method of prevention. Do what the police order you to do and do not resist arrest. Even if you are fleeing on a murder rap you will likely be back at home in after a short stint in jail. Even if you are guilty you will be treated better than Republicans in Lois Lerner's IRS.

Mayor Pothead disrupted all transportation to North Staten Island my commute home took almost four hours. This is what happens when NYC elects a pothead.

Has anyone asked the Mayor when is the last time he smoked a joint. How about the same drug tests administered to the Police as a prerequisite for elected office.

RIP To a Great Officer

I want to wish my sincerest wishes to the family of my fallen peer and frequent teacher. There were those who shouted from the rooftops they were geniuses and stars while my fallen colleague and other fixed their gross errors. Those who should about their own abilities are usually the most incompetent. My fallen peer was a top notch officer who could do anything.

In his last years his skills had eroded and sometimes he wasn't stable enough to do in person work, One would hope that the agency would work with a fallen star as it fades but that is not my agency.

The atmosphere of fear and retaliation for breaking the chain of command sometimes has dire effects. I know this first hand and there have been serious life threatening implications. There was one episode where issues with heat at the office reduced my behavior into a loop. I purchased the same item eight times without realizing it. My blood pressure was at dangerous levels and the nurse ordered me to remove my tie and rest.
I refused the order out of fear of being suspended or written up. The nurse had to call my boss and tell him
to loosen the tie and stop working. I also had the direction of my fan changed from the public to my direction.

I was fortunate to work with him while he was at his peak. He was always a friend and an inspiration even as his ailments diminished his skills.  He was always more concerned about others. We had a peer who had to retire early due to a severe condition. He would always ask if I saw her and was concerned about her health even as his own went South.

One can not say enough about the man behind the badge.............

Evidence what is that NON PC Rant

Riots really have zero to do with the alleged events that cause them. They are desperate acts by people with nothing left to lose. Riots are the criminal acts of unemployed desperate people. This wasn't about evidence as much as frustration with the Obama economy.

Repeating Nazi Crap

There is a clown who should stick to producing music and leave politics to those with a brain. A certain Pink Floyd clown has made a claim since his father died in WW2 he can't be anti semitic. Last we checked only Nazis advanced the cllaim that WW2 was a "Jewish War". Last we checked  the war between Nazi Germany and the UK  was a declared war.

Sorry , your fathers death does not provide cover for decades of baboonery.

Of course sticking with music never occurs to ego maniacs like Waters.

Here we go again with boorish far left arrogance

The far left likes to promote publicity nuts that confirm their stupidity. Classic examples of this are the Jersey Girls who claim ownership of 9-11. While we respect the sacrifice of their loved ones they weren't even there on 9-11. They don't speak for me and I had a front row seat. I don't claim to speak for anyone other than myself.

Our latest example is an outraged righteous gentile who has returned his medal for saving Jews from the Holocaust. While this man was once heroic, he fails to grasp that not all Nazis run around with Swastikas and idiotic salutes. It is quite obvious what Hamas has in store for Jews and one need not look any further than the videos of what this type do to non Muslims in Syria and Iraq. The medal recipient is all worked up about Israel as "Jewish State". Obviously he hasn't bothered to read demographics of every Arab State all with some type of theological law.

His niece married into a Gazan family. The family has suffered casualties. Has this person asked why these tragedies occurred. Hamas hides weapons and militants among civilians. Has this person asked about the child slave labor used to build the tunnels. Why weren't civilians using the tunnels as bomb shelters.

While we salute your act of courage seventy years ago it is obvious that you can not recognize genocidal lunatics when you see them. How many Judenfrei ethnically cleansed states are enough.

This is more moral rot from Europeans who think they are moral beacons, but are seriously deluded.  

Rioting and Justice

There are plenty of wrongs ordinary citizens suffer each and every day. The answer to these wrongs is not to trash your locale and loot businesses. 

The riots have little to do with any specific act. They are caused by long term unemployment and criminal culture. Working people do not riot. The Obama administration has done everything in its power to exacerbate the unemployment problem. 

Of course when one gets a job it is usually part time with varying shifts courtesy of Obamacare. 

If there is desperation and hopelessness in the inner city it is caused by the clueless Obama administration not police brutality. 

RIP Robin Williams

RIP Robin Williams and thanks for all of the laughs. One could read, in between the lines in the comedy,  a deeply troubled soul. Substance abuse and mental health issues do strike at those who would appear successful. Maybe one day we will treat substance abuse more decisively.

Thor's Hammer

I think of the lessons I inadvertently teach to my child and wonder if any of my message gets through. Much like a blacksmith forging a tool these lessons good and bad come from my example. How much these examples mean I don't know.

I took the time to spend with a lost old lady. I tried to explain the importance of kindness to the elderly and just spending some time with the lonely and the lost. Maybe it means nothing maybe my example sinks in. Maybe my appearance like the cavalry has meaning.

There comes a time where the lessons end and I contemplate. Did I set a good example for my daughter?
I could have done this or that better.

If my world ended tomorrow it is my days as dad that are my happiest thoughts.

A long life

I used to want to live a long life but to live when all of your  friends and peers are gone is no bargain. As my parents circle grows narrower each year I recall my grandmothers last years. Slowly the friends stopped calling as they were gone and the world narrowed. Going earlier at least some of your friends are there to memorialize you and talk about you from another perspective.

I think about my own life and how little my daughter knows because it only comes up in passing. She just found out what my middle initial stands for. My daughter will remember shared moments that will be priceless. Yet in many ways she knows little about me other than fleeting references to my summers in the mountain with Rusty the wonder dog who adored children and my time in VT. Her favorite story was when a crowd in Vermont talked me into wrestling at Franklin County Field days. I think the misadventures  of my friend Saul the ethically challenged pothead are up there. How I changed a thoroughly despicable friend into an icon of comedy is unknown. Yet the substance is largely true.

I still want my bones to rest in Guyana among my beloved adopted people in the forest.

Being a father and grandfather has been the best part of a full life. However, to see the world shrink is a pain worse than going and being just a foot note. I wonder if these words will read 200 years from now and viewed as the progression or retrogression in an ordinary life. In many ways this blog is a diary. How it is read is up to the reader.

I love my daughter, but will she even call me when I am doting along in plaid shorts about days past. I love the Maltese, but will likely outlive him. His heart is truly a wonder. I retreated to a strange part of the house to get some sleep. I woke up and he was cuddled next to me. He is the best friend a man ever had and I am lucky to have him in my life. I wanted a more functional dog and didn't play with him as a puppy. One day he was all over me playing and we are inseparable. Even his buddy Prince used to fight to spend time with me.

The new Pomeranian hates me and I don't put up with much. He growls and I ignore him until I am annoyed
then I assert my dominance by walking where I want. Usually the girlfriend gets involved and rescues him
and puts him in the corner. He has tried the cute bit but I walk away. I am not fooled by this act and spend my time with the Maltese.

An overdue post about a former pal who passed away

About a year and a half ago a blog friend passed away. Jams was a leftist, but the rare type who understood
that sometimes lefties go way overboard. He was not favorably disposed to Chavez and saw the obsession
with Israel and Jews as at times over the top.

This post is not about Jams the political person. This post is about the human face behind the words and things all of us go through. The subject does not have to be a decent lovable chap like Jams it could be anyone.

Jams found himself out of work through austerity. He was laid off from a government job through no fault of his own. He was middle age and it is very hard to find work at that age or reinvent yourself. I know the feeling because I had to do it in my 30's at or nearing 50 must be frightening. I recognized the depression and the inward doubts as only one who has been there could.

I want to direct this at younger readers. Being out of work is the most frightening humiliation known to us. The older you are when it happens the more frightening. When times are tough this is why seniority rules stink but are necessary.

Jams was a wonderful man who loved his cats and the not wife. His love of life, history and art show in his every word. Sometimes we would disagree sharply, but it was the respect of his humanity and basic decency that was at the center of our friendship. If he could send a message today it would likely be a humble reminder his modesty.

Please don't forget those around you that have fallen on hard times. Spend an afternoon with someone and bring the meal with you. Spend a few moments with that senior who lives in a changed area with no family or human contact. It might be a little bit of time but to those who are lost or depressed it could be a ray of warmth on a cold day.

I miss Jams, but his words are there for those to see.

Recovery what recovery

Things are pretty bleak at the girlfriends house. In spite of the tough times I pitched in and bought them a luxury item or two. I know how rough the economy is and a  good batch of shrimp goes a long way in that style of cooking as it is almost all rice and curry. I took my CD Player from the office and now there is music in the house.

Small things like buying food that is allegedly for me but I know I will never see make the day go by.

My dying city

One of the things one doesn't get until they are 40 is noticing how the world changes around them. Places that were part of your life for years vanish. Things from the past are gone and forgotten. I miss the big Hotel of the Catskills era, local stores and family friends that pass on.

I fell asleep so tired that I didn't make it to bed. I woke up next to the little Maltese. The girlfriend locked him in the large cage because friends were over. I said it was not needed and the dog would follow me. I went to sleep and he did follow me.

NYC needs new direction and De Blassio only has united everyone in saying he stinks.

Good Natured Jokes about crime

While working some files I came across a suspected gang member. What is this the gang has a better employment record than we do. They have a female CEO and multiple key members old enough to get social security. If they weren't criminal you might want to work there.

I asked the subject matter expert. What is with all of these people over 60. Doesn't this ruin the famous TV detective line when you join a gang there are two ways out jail or a bullet. Crime is bad enough but messing
with  our actuarial tables is unforgivable.

The subject matter expert says look at the degrees. Wow this guy is more educated than the lawyer who represents him. He probably does administration.

A Shop Vac

Every home owner should own a shop vac. I arrived home somewhat upset because my pet looks like he is nearing the end. 35 years is not a bad run for a pet. I arrived home to find the basement flooded. Apparently the boiler broke and I closed the valve and shut it down. I didn't make much progress mopping so I purchased a shop vac. Once or twice a year the tree outside blocks the drain and it is a chore. I powered up the shop vac and eliminated the water fast three huge buckets worth.

Obama weakening Jewish support of Democrats

While Jewish people including myself are socially liberal the hostility towards Israel, Jews and boneheaded economic policies become a tad much. Obama and the Democratic Party cater to the University, Media elite and do not grasp the damage being done. There is just so much damage control  Schumer can perform daily as Clueless Obama  and Gomer Kerry draw legitimate concerns.

On the local level even tired deranged lefties like De Blassio grasp that there are limits to Jewish support.

The Protocols of Poultry

We have a rather inane Jooo obsessed Duck. He seems to be more invested in Israel than I am. For the record I am a Jew. Yes, I went to a Yeshiva and have an often clueless younger brother who is an Orthodox Pulpit Rabbi. I am non practicing and have Guyanese Hindu and Christian family.

I support the State of Israel but have never visited, nor intend to. My interests are elsewhere like the untamed Jungles of Guyana or the forest of Northern Maine. My closest relatives are second cousins who probably have never heard of me. They call my parents a few times a year. 

Unlike the rest of my siblings I never accepted a trip from my parents. I preferred to work in the Mountains in long forgotten Hotels. This was a lucky turn of events. Every time I go for a security clearance the subject of Israel and my religious practices comes up. I explain my religious views are private and ask why I am being questioned about a country I never set foot in.

The Duck is intent upon talking about Gaza. It is fairly simple and straight forward. A group of genocidal religious fanatics intent on massacring Jews provoked a response. Rather than let its civilians die in assorted attacks it protected its civilians. These tunnels were strictly military in use and their construction was aided and abetted by criminal left types. How many cries did the left make about building supplies. Funny Hamas found enough to build scores of tunnels.

Hamas loves to create photo ops with its dead civilians. It places munitions and key personnel in areas designed to keep the body count high. The tunnel network could have been used by civilians as bomb shelters. Hamas kept the civilians away from the shelter.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia are not fans of Hamas. In fact Hamas only seems to have Turkey and Qatar and the deranged far left including Obama as supporters. 

The truth is the residents of Gaza are Egyptian and the area needs to be annexed. Whatever Egypt does to 

pacify the area is justified. No doubt there will be a huge body count but the residents of Gaza will have Muslim rule. 

 

Palestine and Leftist Boorishness

I want to point out that in my personal life I seldom talk about Israel. The topic usually comes up when a poorly mannered lefty insists on discussing it. We have workers who have immigrated from other lands, but my family emigrated from various points in Europe. 

In my personal life I am more apt to speak with pride about my Guyanese family and events. This usually upsets those on the left who say "you are not Guyanese". The conversation with my fellow Jews is more quaint. The Eastern European contingent was upset because I identified myself as Guyanese on the basis of familial ties. Guyanese themselves view my fondness with a smile and enjoy the comedic aspects of the persona. When I joke about Guyana the jokes are sometimes more about the USA than Guyana. Guyanese ask each other what village are you from. My response was the one with the Village People and the YMCA. My boss who is gay laughed so hard he dropped his soda. The Guyanese person who asked me also laughed. I can converse in the local accent and often do so naturally. Another joke was someone asked me about the political parties. I described the PPP and the PNC and went on to describe a party of the youth called OPP. OPP even has its own party song, everyone was laughing. The jokes are not really making fun of Guyana as much as popular culture.

When I talk to my coworkers it is seldom about politics. There is a coworker from Naples and we were discussing whole grain Pasta vs more commonly seen varieties. I discussed Haitian produce with another. Apparently, she can discern a Haitian mango from other types. Even my coworker who returned from Iraq was subjected to some humor about the civil war starting when he left. There is a basic civility in the office and I would not lecture people about their own country.

Lefties are not bound by manners and will launch into tirades. I still think it is wrong for people to bring up this subject. The reason they are doing so is because I am Jewish. Mostly the points are classic far left talking points. I really don't appreciate my patriotism being questioned, because of my support for Israel. I certainly never heard such idiocy said to a Greek or Pole.

Yes I am a Jew and I support Israel. I really could care less what lefties think. Sometimes, I am uncertain that there is though behind the slogans. 

I want to reiterate that at work I do not discuss politics. This is because lefties will twist anything I say into something approaching a scandal. The closest we get to political talk at work is debating laws we deal with

and whining about prices. 

I find it amazing that attorneys who represent the groups lefties talk about know my temperament better than lefties. We had an issue with a burka at work. I was okay doing the interview but a supervisor had issues. 

After the issues were solved I offered to reassign the case to a female or Muslim officer. The attorney said they prefer to remain with me because of my respect for the traditions. It was my typical interview with a couple of jokes tossed out and new ones tossed in. At the time I had a Pakul on my coat tree. I joked it made my head flat. 

It is okay to laugh together at common experiences. Singling out coworkers for political lectures is not okay. 

Forget Obama Jail Lerner

Normally, I am for free speech in its basic forms. However, the rules about what can be sent on government computers are clear. The recent disclosures in the Lois Lerner emails and her subsequent actions indicate a clear pattern.

If America is to continue as a nation of rules and laws it must keep professionalism in civil service.

Congress should use its power of the purse to punish the IRS until Lerners cohorts step forward and testify.

1) No cost of living increases.
2) No bonuses
3) No travel
4) No new hires
5) No overtime
6) No processing of retirement papers

Obama's minions and zombie peasants like Lerner have damaged the integrity of public service. Her actions are criminal and she has abused her office for partisan political gains. She needs to be stripped of her pension and tossed in jail with common criminals.

Saved By Quick Thinking

My bad hair frustrations were averted by the advice of a coworker. I used Head and Shoulders first then followed by 3X. My scalp feels squeaky clean and my hair feels soft and smells like mans hair should smell.

Now if I could only find some Gillette Odor Shield and hide it life would be good.

Ladies keep your man happy and don't take his man soap. You have millions of overpriced shampoos and washes that are available in seconds. Why acceptable man soap is in such short supply in NYC is unknown.

The Proctor and Gamble Blues

Recently, I went to the local drug store to buy body wash. Living in a large household it is impossible for others not to know what personal hygiene products one has. Unfortunately, my adult step son discovered that Gillette Odor Control body wash gets the job done. Making it worse the rest of the family discovered it too. There should be a house rule preventing women from taking mans soap. Lord knows I avoid the Mrs over priced shampoo and conditioner.

I went to my local drug store and they were short of my beloved Proctor and Gamble products. I purchased a hip and cool brand that is used by the 20 somethings. For the first time in my life I felt dirtier after a shower
than in the shower. My hair feels like a bad raccoon coat and smells like an industrial accident. Even when I sweat it doesn't smell that bad.

I am so embarrassed, that I ran to the local drug store at work. My boss said it can't be that bad. Funny but her hair doesn't feel like a bad toupee and smell like a landfill. Once again the drug store was short of Proctor and Gamble products, but I found the last bottle of 3X. I am hoping this can take the stink out of my hair and make it feel human.

Moral of the story, products marketed to 20 somethings usually suck. If it touches my hair its got to be Proctor and Gamble.

Ladies unless you like calling your husband Yul stay away from the man soap.

A Sick and Abnormal Lifestyle

I admire those with a hard work ethic. In a normal religion having a good work ethic is a basic value. Once again my brother the Frummie has annoyed me. It is not as if he does not earn money as he has two jobs that earn him low six figures. His useless wife has not held gainful employment for years.

At the center of this idiotic lifestyle is a sense of entitlement. If you aren't using your car much naturally they will pester every relative. They have no concern about the impact of their lifestyle quirks on others and act as if they are center of the Universe.

Ordinarily, I don't work overtime. Unfortunately, the Diblassio/ Obama economy has impacted my girlfriend's home and I have to pitch in. When I do work overtime, I sleep at her house because the Saturday commute would require me to leave at 2AM. The extra two hours sleep make a difference.

Unfortunately, there is yet another emergency and he requires yet another car. I had to return home and barely made it. I fell asleep in the foyer. The Sabbath ends late and of course he needs something but has multiple errands related to his bizarre lifestyle and can only make it at 2AM. He needs a favor, but shows zero consideration for anyone. Has the notion of renting a car ever occurred to  the frummies. My sisters financial situation is much worse, but he comes with his hands out and feels entitled because he is frum.

I am jealous of my friend whose brother is in jail. At least his sibling has a work ethic and is not annoying. My brother in laws has a gay sibling who is a more balanced considerate person and is culturally literate.
Frummies are inconsiderate cultural illiterates who are disgraces and should keep company with their own kind.

My brother has asked to meet my family. I told him that I do not want to subject my family to his lifestyle.
I could have purchased another car long ago, but frummies don't respect relatives property or time. Why should I bother with another car when he drives mine into the ground and will take the next one.

I rewrote my will and cut him out and explained the car was not worth it.

Clueless leftist morons

I want to point out the usual boorishness of leftists. A leftist from North Africa who is married to a woman from the same region hinted I am a racist because I haven't dated Black or Muslim women. I want to point out this is likely incorrect as I have dated Dominican and Albanian women in college. Ironically a more serious dating situation was with a couple of Cuban women who by Judaic law turned out to be Jews.

First of all choice of a romantic partner is a strictly personal matter. Anyone can make choices according to the dictates of whatever. My Guyanese family is mostly Hindu with some Christians. I do not have to defend my my choices to a Muslim person who married a Muslim from the same country. In fact I really don't care who is in a relationship with whom.

Police Brutality and You

I want to talk about Police Brutality and some common sense points not being discussed by ignorant far left media types. There is no discussion about the role of the conduct of the citizen in any of these cases. The focus has been incorrectly placed on the police. Zero attention has been placed on the conduct of the citizen
in these cases. Unfortunately, I have plenty of experience in these situations as small town Barney Fife cops stopped me more than twenty times while living in Northern VT. For the record I am alabaster white and have green-blue eyes.

1) When requested to stop. Do so
2) Answer all questions to the best of your ability.
3) Never display a bad attitude or challenge the police.

This response was said calmly and demonstrates local knowledge.
" You work around here let me see your ID"

"How come you don't have a local drivers license."
"My job is temporary and can end in three months at which time I will return home. "

None of my answers were disrespectful. I think I made a joke about liking the biscuits better than the chicken. There is a difference between laughing at someone and making a joke all can share as a common  experience.

There were times Police questioned me at the local Park. Had I been dressed like Steve Urkel this would not have happened. However reading a book on a Park Bench with a Diet Mountain Dew at 4 or in a green space near a train station is not common. My responses were always respectful including once where I got locked out with no shoes and was tiptoeing through an alley in the dark to get to my car for the spare.

Always remain calm and if you think your rights have been violated tell it to a judge. You are never going to
win a verbal argument with a cop even if they are 100% wrong.

This does not excuse excessive force but in almost every video on this subject the victim is out of control. Lefties exacerbate racial angles, but the real issue is composure. Your responsibility when stopped by the police is to remain calm and answer questions honestly. I got stopped on my way back from the grocery store at 3AM. The police asked where I am coming from and I told them Price Chopper to buy toilet paper
and some Captain Crunch. I joked how I went for those two items and ended up with a few more items. There was a conversation about Liverwurst which is a NYC thing among old timers. It is even referenced in Welcome Back Kotter.

Do not debate search and seizure or probable cause. Even if you are criminal the penalties are so light that
you will likely plea bargain anyway to disorderly conduct or a fine.

I want to thank Jonathan Martin for stepping into the spotlight. There are plenty of those who suffered in shame and silence and I was one of those people. It took courage to step out and place a name on a shameful reality many of us endure each and every day in silence and shame.

There was a peer who was from an earlier era and just retired. I explained the workplace was much different then. Bosses expected and it was unspoken that gross and inappropriate behavior was tolerated. Sexual harassment laws were on the books, but it took the dubious Anita Hill story to put it on the map. Following your abuser through jobs and maintaining contact for years does not make sense. I avoid my abuser and would run in the other direction.

Some of the things I endured

Unique rules applied only to one person among 60.
Social Isolation being a member of a ten person team excluded from meetings parties. Not being allowed to talk with anyone about work related issues other than a single team member.
Abusing Supervisory Review Process.
Group ridicule if one had a different opinon
Threats of violence
Ethnic jokes and commentary about my alleged political views.
Manufactured complaints and tampering with evidence in disciplinary proceedings.
Command Chain lunacy. One needs your bosses permission to talk to her boss about the abuse.

The tragic element of my story is I suffered in silence. What I suffered was real and people would say keep your head down or you bring it on yourself. Would anyone say this to a person in a domestic violence situation.

Luckily for me people outside the office knew my name. My abuser went too far and costly EEO and labor arbitration made the matter public. I settled and went on to live another day. Management still had a bounty
on my head. However smarter ones knew to steer clear as I would fight back.

Eventually a new regime took over and workplace bullying is not tolerated. The new boss is humane and more concerned with accomplishing goals and objectives than grudge matches. I never thought I would see a director whose DNA does not seem to condone brutality. Do your best and serve the public each and every day is all she asks.

A close friend from my earliest years visited. I avoided her as she worked up the chain to levels I can only dream of. She noticed I did not stop by and avoided contact. I would be somewhere else by design. Eventually we spoke via email. I explained that I wanted her to remember me as I was. She is familiar enough with me to know something is wrong. I told her about the workplace bullying and she was horrified
and asked me why I didn't call her immediately. I explained men are not supposed to complain they are supposed to endure. One shouldn't hide behind a big sisters skirt. She asked around and found the situation
was far worse than I described. One supervisor told her people have committed suicide for less than I endured.  Another told me that the abuse was so bad she was amazed I didn't snap.

After Jonathan Martin what happened to me and others has a name. I will not sit in the shadows or hide in the closet. After the Martin case I decided to be up front. This place was horrible and I paid the price to make it better. I do so to explain that nobody should ever suffer in silence.

chasing a phantom

Over the last few days I have been driven at work on a project. I haven't been myself and it certainly is not pressure from my boss who told me to take off. I am fairly modest and I was highly accomplished and productive before I arrived in NYC. Oddly on the second day of training I was already faster than my mentor who was pissed and compared me to a chimp. I was given a new mentor and the speed was evident in week two where I was in the top 20% . This is not surprising knowing my vocation was logistics and my entire career was based on making swift decisions. There were some bad times in Vermont but they mostly involved a small group who tried to cover for themselves.

When I got to NYC, it was a very cruel and terrible place. I experienced work place bullying and it went on for years. A single manager for reasons unknown loathed me and subjected me to absurd levels of scrutiny and ridicule. This was not unusual and up until the most current changes it was tolerated and condoned at top levels. Over time the abuser self destructed  and her henchmen were sent away or muted. I earned a street credibility as a thorough tough pro who earned his stripes.

Fast forward in time management shakes up the joint and I am stuck with the henchmen. The most annoying part is bragging about skills they never had. I remind people those who brag the most know the least.

I retain much of my persona from previous jobs. Snitches are shunned unless the matter involves public safety or taking bribes. I could care less if a peer has a beverage on her desk other than water. Most matters are resolved between coworkers and I am okay with that.

After three years of workplace bullying I am not apt to forgive members of a mob who mistreated me. Making matters worse I have been fixing their errors and had I made any of these errors I would have been suspended or fired. Oddly, I forgave the supervisor who was responsible long ago. The manager ordering it
threatened his job. Ideally, a person would say no, but there are consequences. This boss is guilty of nothing
more than a human weakness that most of us have as humans. I am far less charitable to the peers who were part of a mob. They were not threatened in anyway and a few distanced themselves and were supportive in private.

You hear the stereotype about the lazy government worker. I am at my desk early and late. I usually take lunch and work at the same time. In fact I eat while I work at points throughout the day. My productivity is high and I am self motivated. All of us bring life experiences from elsewhere to our jobs. Apparently, I fused sweatshop, logistics and several other ideas into my job. I chased and broke several records, but it was hallow. There is nothing I have to prove and I earned my stripes long ago. I am over the maximum vacation time and my boss told me to relax and take a day.

There is no phantom for me to chase except those we create for ourselves.

The Failure of the Jewish Community

One of the greatest failures of the Jewish Community is the refusal to discuss where Jew hatred comes from.
Other groups such as gays and Blacks have very little difficulty pointing out where bigots come from, Jews
have great difficulty discussing any type of bigots other than the White Power/Nazi type

The most obvious place that these bigots come from is the Muslim community. Not all Muslims have this obsession, but enough do. In general some of this is our fault. Some of us spend way too much time trying
to build bridges. In general, I don't discuss politics at work and the insistence of some to ask questions is annoying. The usual quip that Jews are supposed to be liberal is a common theme. The concept of intellectual independence is unfamiliar to recent immigrants.

There  are a handful of right wing kooks. Usually, one will see them hanging around Stormfront or more commonly in any gathering of Ron Paul fans. The latter pretend they are conservative, but you can find them at OWS  repeating lefty themes. Less common are the obsessive Pat Buchanan types that can be found at OWS or at left wing rallies.

The most pernicious and vile  Jew obsessed lunatics are Marxists. Jews who dig Marx are the moral equivalent of Capos. We have seen plenty of hateful signs and rhetoric, but the Jewish community fails to point out the tie multiple times. The truth is Marxism has a religious dimension and those who pretend they
Jews only do so to advance the criminal faith. No doubt the litigious loser will threaten another lawsuit.
When addressing these lunatics one should put the term Rabbi in quotation marks. Perhaps this will be grounds for the next lawsuit.

On this blog we seldom write about Israel. It comes up in passing when obsessed and intemperate Marxists
have behavioral issues. I did not blog on Gaza , because others cover the subject. While I support Israel, I am far more apt to sped time in Guyana. I have yet to hear Poultry direct any verbiage towards this aspect
of my persona. Lefties have made a mess out of Guyana, but as in Vermont I remain quiet. I am on vacation or passing through and locals can attend their own matters quite well.

RIP James Garner

Thank you James Garner for your many hours of entertainment including the Rockford Files and the Great Escape. I even enjoyed the commercials. I prefer the grity style of Kojak to the smart Alec Rockford. However, it is clearly better than 90% of the shows produced today.

Leftist Boorishness

When a Tea Party supporter allegedly uses the N word to Rep Cummings the media makes a big deal. When terrorists acting in the name of Islam kill gratuitously we get the familiar messages that not all Muslims are terrorists. When a single Pseudostinian is killed in a revenge attack it makes headlines. When Jews are killed or persecuted by Muslims or leftists the media reports it in passing.

Part of the blame for this mess belongs to Jews themselves. We are too busy to go on the offensive and apologetic when provoked. No doubt Pam Geller and such could create an Islamic snuff film. We could show crazed Muslims beheading Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg and others great hits. We could even show the famed Paliwood greatest fakes staring Mr Green Helmet. 

In the USA there is a concept of civility. We leave our political BS at the door and do our jobs. Those on the left seem to forget this.  I am not here to debate foreign policy or Obamacare. I say very little about the crisis on the border on the job. The sole exception to this was when the policy changed to adjudicate gay marriage cases my support was vocal. The notion that I as a civil servant, should treat any applicant with anything less than my best is offensive.

I get annoyed with lefties nosing around my library at work. What I read is my own affair. I have never heard of a Conservative doing anything similar to a leftist. I am more than perplexed at lefties whose entire history is rife with treason pointing the finger at my patriotism. Funny, I don't see any other group subjected to this idiocy. 

The End Of A Faith

Israel will fall in my lifetime. The culprits will be directly related to a class of lazy religious imbeciles whose behavior ranges from boorish to treasonous. The state can not and should not permit a lazy depraved lifestyle on the dole for generations.

Some of these culprits claim Israel is an abomination and they don't take money from it. They merely take food, medical and every other type of subsidy under the sun. Then they turn around and bad mouth the State
and the wider community. Sorry but mendicants should know better than to lecture those that support this lifestyle of sloth.

These groups do not functionally educate their children to a level where they can be gainfully employed. They
trash the wider community while sticking their hand out for charity. The level of child abuse and domestic violence are high. One community continues to rally behind a convicted pedophile and threaten the victim.

In a rational world some of the benefit fraud would trigger RICO type actions. Unfortunately our political leaders ignore our laws due to block voting.

Usual leftist BS

Predictably, our friend Poultry has been at it about Gaza. Arabs die by the score in Iraq and Syria. The left really is not interested until its sainted contrived ethnicity is involved. The lunatics at ISIS may be genocidal but they speak a truth. There is no such animal as Syrians, Jordanians, Iraqis and Pseudosinians. Given that Arabs have an abundance of colonized land this Pseudostine obsession boils down to leftist repackaging of Judenfrei real estate.

Israel has made generous offers and has shown restraint. Russia leveled Grozny for far less than the Arab provocations. Hammas overplayed the rocket bit and Israel adapted.

Araba, Anatolians and Turks need to get off of Kurdish land. Unlike Pseudostinians Kurds are a genuine indigenous people and far more deserving of a state. Arabs also need to carve out enclaves for Berbers
and Copts who also have a better case than contrived Arab ethnicities.

If lefties really cared about the folks in Gaza they would cease the bait and switch game and let Egypt annex the area. The residents of Gaza are Egyptian, but were morphed for political expediency.

The Black Book of the American Left

As I am very familiar with the writings of David Horowitz and have read almost all of his books I did not expect to enjoy a greatest hits collection. If you have not read David Horowitz you should start with Radical Son and try to find a copy of the brilliant Second Thoughts Conference. Actually, I would love to see that book released again with updated materials.

If you are not familiar with the material it is very worth reading. If you have read the book passage of time has given new meaning to certain essay, such as the authors experience with information leaked about the NSA decades before the current mess.

I want to thank the author for informing and entertaining me for more than three decades. Reading Horowitz is part of my youth. I picked up my first book after listening to him being interviewed on the Bob Grant Show. This is also where I learned about many fine authors that are familiar to us today. Grant read the books cover to cover and was a much better interviewer than he was ever given credit for. From the works of David Horowitz I learned about the works of Ronald Radosh, Richard Poe and many others. Horowitz was never shy about promoting books of others.

Facing Mortality

Bloggers seldom have any real wisdom to pass on. Over the course of this blog many have left this world
and how much they evolved or their legacy is best left unsaid. I am not thinking of death in this post but growth.

Politics is a dead end and much of the Democratic party is filled with Marxist morons. They peddle empty words and toss about a few crumbs. The other day multiple Obama supporters conceded to me that he is
mostly an empty suit droning on and looking at his image in the mirror. Of course droning on and on incoherently about hope and change and a resume more befitting a group home than the White House should have been obvious. We were told the President is a Constitutional scholar, but his works are nowhere to be seen.

Government is a collection of mediocrity leading mediocrity. Seldom if ever does a person with genuine vision and competence rise to a power of significance. Most of the rest are cronies who go to the same parties and build crews. I am fond of the current team though I am my own man beholden to  naught but the wind and public service. I don't volunteer answers, but I will respond to questions in frank terms. The agency I work with is great with numbers, but has no idea what they mean. We have leaders who change procedures and policies with zero idea of how to implement them.

In general always remember the ends don't justify the means Those that operate like this can triumph in the short term. However, their moral and technical shortfalls become apparent as they move up the chain and sometimes fall from great heights. Be proud of your peer and supportive if they earn a promotion through merit. Mentor and give a hand up to those around you as it may prove beneficial at a later date.

On a personal level, no relationship is more close to the heart than being a father. No times are more special than a childhood even if there were rough times.  I remember walking in the woods with Rusty the mostly
German Shepard who loved kids. He always knew the way back home but I was never lost. He was gentle and loving to kids, but fierce if a pack of stray dogs were near. He would protect and return to family pet in seconds. The Maltese Rex loves me very much and never leaves my side. When I had food poisoning he sat
by my bed for days following me on every trip to the bathroom. He kept everyone at a distance from the bed. He is a great dog and a good friend, but he is not Rusty.He is the daughters pet who wants to hang out
with the big kids.

I love my daughter for who she is. She is not in my shadow, nor will she walk in my shoes. Her world is a simpler place that will be more ethereal than my life. In my world it was common to debate great ideas, discuss art and theater or the stock market. Hers is a simpler more typical path as her mothers family does not have a scholarly tradition. She does pick up bits and pieces from me but that is all. Oddly, my whole life i wanted to be what she is now. Unfortunately, my abilities and charisma never allowed me to live in the shadows. I am amazed that people I haven't seen for thirty years remember me. Usually, I have forgotten them.

I am not certain when and where I became more of a loving the moment type. People will point to my frequent support of the gay community at work. In essence,  the argument changed from self righteous
screaming to live and let live. I don't care what the person next door does so long as consenting adults are
the sole participants. One of the notorious fights at work started when an imbecile at work believed she had "gaydar" and she sees  gay men like Elmer Fudd sees rabbits. Race was never a big deal to me. My relationships look like the UN and I don't have a type.

I am hostile to theocracy in every application. I have a love of true Christians who are not beholden to that abomination Liberation theology. Those who practice the Jewish equivalent are on a moral par with Capos.
No doubt the faker from the West Coast will threaten to sue me. I reject the hasidic movement as cult like
clods and despise the Satmar almost as much as communists. Sorry, but you clowns need to find gainful employment. Oddly, as some of the Jews live in close proximity to the Pseudostinians their anger is reflected
into a mirror image.

There needs to be a realistic dialogue with Muslims that is prevented by the left. Islam needs a stern look at its own colonial history and abuses of indigenous people before we move forward. No problem with the peaceful practice of any religion including Islam. However, the cult of perpetual victim hood and  rationalizing criminal behavior needs to cease.

Lastly, take time to enjoy the small things in life. Enjoy a sunset, or a cool breeze, the embrace of a loved one, share a laugh with a friend, listen to music you enjoy, read a book for pleasure, read the news... skip that.

In the end I am fortunate to have worked a job where I hear heart felt thank yous often. Say thank you to the bus driver and clerks. Try and be there for a peer who is down.

Life ends before you know it so make as many productive moments as you can.

Strange comment by simpleton

A Muslim coworker is outraged by Israel's occupation of Arab land. I pointed out Arabs have been and continue to occupy Kurdish, Berber and Coptic lands. All of those people have superior claims to nation status than the sainted Pseudostinians.

In fact the wonderful folks at ISIS may be blood thirsty criminals, but they are factual when they are trying to

The coworker was outraged by Abu Gharib. I pointed out this is not torture and even those who lived under Saddam would point out the difference. Amputating limbs, raping women in front of their relatives is actual torture, panties on the head is not. The inmates at Abu Gharib are not and never were POW, they were unlawful combatants. The real crime is that the activities were gratuitous and not part of an organized interrogation. If panties on the head gives us something useful than go ahead.

Commies remain quite silent on torture of Americans who do fight in uniforms. There was never any cry for our POW's who faced real torture. Nor has the usual leftards said a peep about actual snuff films starring Daniel Pearl and Nick Berg. Sorry, but the outrage of panties on the head and so forth is trivial and the culprits were punished.

The same coworker was outraged about an Arab Kid being killed by Israelis. I pointed out the Israeli government will find and punish those guilty of this act. I am frankly amazed given the repeated crimes that
this type of vigilante behavior doesn't happen more frequently.

The latest bit is from the airstrikes in Gaza. How many Israelis have died? The Israelis built a shield and the reason the numbers are low is that it is effective. If the folks in Gaza quit shooting rockets and engaging in terror the response would stop.

Funny, but dead Arabs in Syria and Iraq by the score don't seem to bother lefties.

Careful with emails

In general this is sound practice. Why Lerner needed to state this and her emails disappear doesn't pass the smell test.

Long Live Kurdistan

A lefty coworker stated that my desire to create Kurdistan is loyalty to Israel. Funny, I asked this person to compare the case for Pseudostine and Kurdistan. Kurds are too civilized to toss US senior citizens in wheel chairs off ocean liners. They have their own identity going back thousands of years and a unique language.

The folks at ISIS may be terrorists, but they are honest. There is no such thing as Syrians, Iraqis, Jordanians and Pseudostinians. Arabs already posses an abundance of land, but aided by Communists have created a bait and switch game with a contrived ethnicity. The odious overtones of creating Jew free apartheid states are quite obvious.

Meanwhile our lefty friend points out Turkey is an ally and a member of NATO. It is a regime that is occupying Kurdish land and needs to stop oppressing Kurds. This does not stop the mindless oppressive Turkish government from running boats to Gaza and lecturing Israel.

I also pointed out that Israel has been quite restrained in response to repeated transgressions. One need look no further than Grozny to see how governments respond to these provocations. Moreover, Israel arrested terrorists for killing an Arab. When and where do Arabs ever get around to arresting terrorists and lets not pretend that Arabs don't know who killed the three Jews.

I want to point out had I questioned the patriotism of my Muslim coworker I would be guilty of an EEO violation. However, stating that a Jew who has never set foot in Israel is disloyal goes unnoticed.

Lefties who venerate Arabs but ignore Kurds are hypocrites.

Lois Lerners Criminal Acts

As a public servant one is familiar with the ethics training every employee of the Federal government receives annually. Lerner is an attorney and involved with administrative law and held to a higher standard than a clerk.

Employees of the government are protected from lawsuits when their mistakes occur within the official duties of the job. This is actually a topic one considers at some level each and every day. My boss who is an attorney would be the first to tell you I veer towards caution and restraint. In general the rules that dictate my job is the need to know. In one case, I told another supervisor just discussing the specifics of what was in that file would likely land me with an EEO issue. In this instance this supervisor had a need to know in order to carry out her job. She did an outstanding job with the case and was a great help.

On the job there is zero room for anything less than impartiality. There are who layers of laws that govern abusing your authority. I had a different conversation with a staff attorney about what is profiling and what is due diligence. Person A is from a country with issues of terrorism. There is no evidence the person in front of me is involved. Routine questioning is the norm and unless something in the response warrants additional scrutiny that is the end. Person B is from the same country and has a money laundering arrest. The crime has been identified and additional scrutiny is warranted. Person C is not from a country where terrorism is an issue but has the same arrest. Additional scrutiny is warranted on a criminal basis without the national security  angle.

 If person A were subjected to extended questioning solely on the basis of country of origin, this would be an ethical violation. Additionally, this would be a waste of time, resources and a public relations disaster. As people are not perfect sometimes this does happen. When I am being questioned for security clearance sometimes I have to remind the investigator of the boundaries. This is typically done with the phrase I will answer that question although it falls into my zone of privacy and is not pertinent to your investigation. An experienced investigator gets the hint, but new ones do not. The subject of what is an alias is a sticking point.
A religious ceremonial name was termed an alias. I pointed out this was not a name I use. Other than two members of my immediate family nobody knows what my exact ceremonial name. These names are so obscure they are placed in index cards at the house of worship. Moreover, they are categorized as translations of my name in a foreign language used for solely for religious ceremonies and not aliases.

In the case of Lerner, she abused her position to adversely impact those with political views she opposed.
Lerner as a lawyer and managerial level employee are held to high standards. She was aware that she was violating the law and should be punished to the maximum extent of the law. In fact her actions are so heinous that a set of new laws should be crafted named after her.

Leftists are fond of invoking paranoia about Black Listing and counter intelligence operatives infiltrating Peace Movements. Lefties leave out the part that Communists were indeed advocating support for Stalinism
and Communists did commit treason and spy for a hostile foreign power. In most cases Communists were
never confronted directly for their insane beliefs. In the case of the Vietnam Protesters, lefties forget about the criminality and direct ties to domestic terrorism of the protest leaders, Lefties omit rampant vandalism, large scale drug use and Communist leadership of Peace Protests.

Lerner is a leftist who abused her authority to prevent people she politically opposed from participating fully in their First Amendment rights. She was part of a government agency that trampled on the rights of peaceful
TEA Party activists to organize and participate in the electoral process. Donor and membership list were leaked in direct violation of the Privacy Act. Additional government agencies harassed these same people.
Lefties talk about voter ID cards suppressing the vote but remain silent on the actions of Lerner.

Lois Lerner is possibly the greatest villain in American history aside from Criminals and racial arsonists. Now some of you would point to Benedict Arnold. General Arnold's multiple heroic actions and his mistreatment
by some cronies make his case less odious than the crimes of Lerner. Richard Nixon did many admirable
things prior to Watergate. The crimes of Lerner are far more serious than Watergate.

Now the voices of the left who talk of marching with Dr. King and raises the often criminal peace protester
are silent about actual abuse of people for ideas they disagree with. When David Horowitz, Ron Radosh and other former leftists talk about the totalitarian aspects of the American left many of you laugh. The silence of the mainstream Democrats about the crimes of Lerner is deafening.  

Why Government Is Never The Answer

I had an interesting conversation with my boss. I want to stress that I respect and honor a boss who has been very good to me. In the conversation I understand the limitations of government and why it is incapable of ever being reformed or accomplishing much.

The actual job of any government is to serve the people. All other tasks are secondary. The government serves the people most efficiently by using its human capital wisely.  Take employees and place them in tasks most suited to their strengths.

In my tenure some of the personnel moves are head scratchers. A key job of supervision is leadership and in my area leadership is lacking severely. The managerial selections are made through a series of cronyism and political intrigue. The notion of picking effective leaders and people with vision is an afterthought.

Management is forever in a series of never ending meetings. The meetings don't accomplish much and the managerial time is reduced by mounds of paperwork. Bad ideas are championed and an Amen chorus tries to rationalize failed ideas.

Unfortunately, the Amen chorus picks winners and losers and most frequently these are arbitrary whims. Conformity and accepting bad ideas is the model rather than transparency and innovation. A colleague was criticized for his independence. In his case the people calling the shots were morons and his objections were prudent.

The first line supervisor should be tasked with building a successful team. The supervisor should have strong leadership skills and be a problem solver. Ironically the best at getting productivity from employees who were written off was one supervisor who was demoted and a temp.

In the private sector there is accountability for failure and bad ideas. The government has no accountability
and has zero ability to remedy failures. Lois Lerner types who abuse their authority are seldom ever punished. If the government actually gets anything done it is likely due to the dedication of the street level worker who is dedicated to public service.

Just Saying

There are those who are bent out of shape over what appears to be a revenge killing in Israel. Of course the Obama administration rushed to condemn this retaliation. Frankly given the behavior and intransigence of Arabs I am shocked this type of retaliation does not happen much more frequently.

Arabs kill themselves daily for no reason. They mistreat and abuse others and sit upon plenty of colonized real estate. They have land in abundance, yet they demand more ethnically cleansed land.

It has not been established how this person died. The Israelis will make an effort to find and punish the killer.
The PA regularly lynches alleged collaborators regularly and nobody cares or worries about rights.

Crisis at the border and heartland

I want to open with a simple reminder that any system with millions of humans is complex and volatile. In general, I support many of the Obama policies.

1) We should focus our energies and limited resources on criminal cases and fraud. Deportation even in those areas is a time consuming process and we should use our resources wisely.

2) Extending recognition to gay and lesbian couples.

All this being said there appears to be a clueless belief that immigrants will just be a constant. Actually, immigrants react to our policies. The situation at our border is a direct consequence of non enforcement
of our laws. If you remove the consequence of deportation this is the result.

In the coming days the administration will have to act. The problem is way too large. Perhaps like Katrina or Sandy there will be a deployment. Like either my odds of going are zero as people who produce are kept on duty.

The story of why Obama is not held accountable remains unknown. By now a leader like Michael Bloomberg would be acting decisively. A leader is supposed to lead and Obama just is poor at taking charge of anything and producing results.

Shady games at Huffington

The folks over at Huffington are quite amusing. I am no fan of Donald Trump. However, the rant about Trumps race baiting from a buddy of Al Sharpton is amusing. In a post that is supposed to be about the Central Park Five it spends plenty of time about Obama.

If the Central Park Five got a raw deal much of the blame belongs directly at Al Sharpton's feet. The article neglects Sharpton calling the victim a whore and blaming her boyfriend for the rape. This bombastic blame the victim race garbage clouded the entire case. Sharpton could have argued facts and logic instead he chose to call a rape victim by name a whore.

The overwhelming evidence of innocence is a fantasy of those looking for dreams. The fact that Reyes DNA was found does not infer he was not part of the group. In fact the injuries are not consistent with a single perpetrator. Nor does Reyes confession he acted alone stand up to the case facts. Nor does the convenient
confession ( no additional prison time for Reyes) and the subsequent crimes of Reyes have anything to do with this case. It was well known from the confessions that there were more than six assailants.

If there is blame to be assigned in this case it belongs to Sharpton and media clown lawyers trying to turn the judicial system into racial comedy. The case should have been argued on facts and logic, but the defense didn't have them. Rather than argue facts and logic the case was argued as deranged drama.

I leave the readers of Huffington to ponder if a friend of Sharpton who called a rape victim a whore should be complaining about Trumps words.

The Obama Administration is the greatest disaster

There are those who compare Nixon to Obama. Nixon was neither stupid nor incompetent. Watergate was trivial compared to the Obama scandals. The difference is the media anointed Obama on an entirely false narrative. Part of the blame falls squarely on Democrats who have been silent. Allegedly Bill Clintoon has described Obama as incompetent in private but in public he remains silent.

The leftwing talking points on the IRS scandal have shifted. First it is out of control low level agents in Cincinnati. Then its talk of "phony scandals". Then Lois Lerner who is allegedly an attorney states I have done nothing wrong but invokes the Fifth Amendment. This is not how this amendment is wrong. Furthermore, government employees are protected from actions when they act within their job. Example an FBI agent reads a report incorrectly and lets a criminal go or misinterprets a law. These are honest mistakes that occur while performing a job. This is far different than the actions of Lerner who needs to go to jail for her actions.

The latest excuse is Lerners Emails have magically disappeared from her hard drive. Emails are stored on a server and if they disappeared it requires an act of immense efforts. Unlike erasing tapes taking key peoples names out of servers requires multiple tech pros. If Lerners emails were stored off the server she is in violation of  the records rules. In this case we have no reason to give her the benefit of the doubt. One can assume the worst and Lerner should be held in contempt until she talks with no immunity. Let her rot in jail for her actions. Why would someone store their emails in such a manner unless they were up to some criminal endeavor.

In my own emails there are all types of jokes, but none off color. A Guyanese person asked me what village my people are from? I said the one with the Village People and the YMCA. Someone asked me about a weird musical group from NYC that dressed in crazy costumes and I said are you referring to KISS. Yes, I do joke about the Village People as they are along with Blondie a part of NYC landscape. Somehow in homophobic NYC YMCA is played at every sporting event alongside "We are the Champions" by Queen
if a team wins. Gays are just part of NYC culture and other than the tacky parades are fairly innocuous and mainstream. There were a few jokes about a Surf Band that dresses up like Hasidic Jews. They are pretty good and most members are Jewish so this is proof almost anyone except my brother can potentially be cool. I still can't find a CD but someday....

The disaster at the border is Obama inspired. In the fantasy land where Obama lives immigrants don't react to our policies and abide by our laws. Obama initiates a policy of non enforcement of settled law and grants benefits to people illegally smuggled in as children. Then is shocked by a tidal wave of children seeking similar amnesty.

The impact of the Obama policies on the lives of the working poor  is worse than hurricane Katrina and Sandy. Lets cut hours for low paid workers to avoid Obamacare but raise the minimum wage. The result is underemployment and the working poor are worse off than ever. Of course there are jobs in the energy
sector, but Obama is more concerned with his University faculty loafers than working families.

Arrest Lois Lerner

The scandal at the IRS is bigger than Obama. The entire integrity of the Federal government has been compromised by the actions of Lois Lerner and her cohorts. This is the USA, we do not permit government officials to abuse their authority for partisan purposes. The actions of Lerner are straight out of the Hugo Chavez playbook.

The basic rule is that US government employees are protected from legal liabilities if their actions fall within their job. Lois Lerner's actions violated every principle of ethics and she should be punished to the full extent of the law including jail time and forfeiture of her pension. Employees are protected from liability in the case of an honest mistake if they believed they were acting within the law or were just incompetant. Lerner's actions rise to malfeasance and was well aware of her violations of the law and is not protected.

The GOP needs to play hardball with the IRS and treat it as a corrupt agency. I do not favor collective punishment in most circumstances. In this case,the actions are so heinous that they dwarf Watergate. The goal should be to smoke out all the managers who had anything to do with the illegal activities of Lerner and the subsequent cover up.

1) Pay and Hiring freeze at the agency until employees step forward and co-operate with the investigation of Lerners activities and cover up.

2) Criminal prosecution of those responsible for ethics violations.

3) Early retirement for those eligible.

4) Demotion and reduction in grade and reassignment to other agencies for lower level participants.

Those who assist the prosecution of Lerner should be awarded step increases.

Lerner may fancy herself an Obama loyalist. Lets see how she fancies herself when her actions cause financial hardship on her peers.

Violating the very core of ethical standards for partisan purposes is a heinous crime. Anyone familiar with the ethics training that government employees get annually know that these abuses are prominently covered in annual training. Lerner is allegedly a lawyer and as such should be held to a higher standard.

RIP Tuco

Eli Wallach was a talented actor who was in two of the most memorable films ever The Good The Bad and The Ugly and The Magnificent Seven. Ironically, he claims the most fan mail he ever got was from playing Mr. Freeze on Batman. He also starred in a two part episode in Kojak.

Hopefully the movie channels will set up some tribute.

I would also like to state a RIP wish to Steve Rossi. He was a decent humble man who occasionally worked in the Catskills. He had an interesting show. I was somewhat surprised to read Mart Allen is still with us. May he live to be 100 and then some.

Just Stupid but likely

There is a tendency that permits people to use racial expletives among themselves in society. Thus a Black person may use the dreaded N word in addressing fellow Black people without penalty. However, if a white person uses the word a suspension is likely.

This is probably the likely source of the homophobic slurs in the emails observed by Gowdy. The truth is that that type of garbage should never be used in any capacity by a federal employee.

The truth is that at work homophobia does occur. As a way of illustrating the mindless hatred I do jokingly call heterosexuals breeders. I have had more than a few fights over homophobia. The very people who would rightly end your career over the use of the N word will bandy anti gay terms freely.

When the law changed and Gay marriage was added, I asked to be the first to adjudicate such cases in my office. When those who objected to hearing these cases asked me for my support I blasted them. There is no place for bigotry on the job. I do not tolerate it in my personal life either. I have had lunch with gay coworkers on plenty of jobs.

I certainly hope the type of stupidity expressed in the IRS emails was two gays joking about their own preferences. There should be policies that spell out using certain words as terms of endearment are not permitted either.

I find it amazing that our local bird brained poultry fails to grasp that our local AILA chapter has been supportive of my career. I have also attempted to deal with biases against the poor and gender at work.
 I have always stood for fairness and transparency in the system. A lawyer can not serve their client unless we discuss what issues there are openly. For example a person obtained a diplomatic passport falsely and a discussion over the relevance of a certain section of the law ensued. After a short discussion a solution was reached and everyone lived happily ever after.

How Poultry claims to know more about my career than the local legal practitioners is unknown. Then again when one rationalizes communist history and has clear obsessions, he is not playing with a full deck.

Don't get mad get Guyanese

Those who know me personally know I am a complex person. I stand for certain things and I don't tolerate two legged rats. My reaction to those who rat on their peers unless serious ethical issues are involved is shunning. You become an unperson and my normal reaction is to turn my back. If the dialogue is work related the response is state your business and go. This treatment is permanent and lasts years and there is no forgiveness.

A rather mundane episode was spun into something bigger. Cooler heads warned this person don't mess with that one. Her boss tangled with me and wanted no part in round two. I explained that this one is different and there will be no round two. After two months the rat decided to move. Most people want a friendly neighbor and it is smarter to head out quickly.

I will finally have peace and quiet. I don't mind occasional noise, but constant non stop yapping unrelated to work gets on my nerves.

Found My Maltese

I found my dog on the internet. A dog matching the description of my Maltese showed up nearby. I pointed out the description matched but I could not see the picture. My daughter in law saw the pictures and was almost certain it was Rex. I gave the girlfriend the words and got a call two hours later Rex is home. Not believing her or my daughter I went to see. My daughter was seeing him everywhere and the girlfriend are not as good as I am under stress.

In seconds I knew it was Rex. He was eating vanilla ice cream and enjoying the attention. He is so loved by all in the house.  I was pricing out a West Highland or Cairn terrier as another Maltese would be not good for the house.

Times may be rough, but  it isn't a home without Rex. Four generations of our family love the little guy.

Obama's Invisible People

You hear much rhetoric from the administration about the working poor. However, the administration has done anything and everything to make their lives hell. A typical example is in my own family. The Daily News wrote about the low wage jobs at the airport. It carefully avoids discussing 29 hour work weeks caused by Obamacare.

Obama has pushed aliens into the laborforce. Low skilled Americans now have countless people looking for the same job.  Employers have no rationale to raise wages or hire full time employees.

Its time to stop pretending that Obama cares about poor people because he is Black. His policies have hurt the working poor, young Americans and scores of other groups. He seems more focused on the TEA Party than Al Queda.

It used to be that students who graduated with a nursing degree found work in seconds. My waiter in the Greek Diner can't find work. The stunning Latina single mom has an associates degree and no work.

While Obama and his media elite cronies play golf and eat fondue America suffers. Obama trades hardened terrorists for a deserter. His foreign policy seems designed by pot heads for pot heads. His best friend is the corrupt hypocritical tyrant in Turkey. Yes Turkey, the same one fixated on Israel while ignoring actual indigenous Kurds. Did we mention the suppression of  secular protesters in Turkey?

Electing Obama did not erase the racial sins of the past. No person could do that with a mere elected post.
The election of an incompetent pot head has hurt all kinds of Americans.

Where are these invisible people who work 29 hours. Don't blame the corporations for the mess created by
Obama. Blame Obama for absurd support for programs that hurt the working poor.

Missing my Maltese

The girlfriend lost the dog the other day. Prospects for getting him home are dim. Rex was a lovable dog, who loved me most of all. From the hysterical greeting at the door to sleeping by my side he was a great companion. As he is a purebred no doubt he is likely doing well in some other home by now. I miss the little guy and the memories we had. No matter how sick I was he never left my side. He was smart enough to know that little children fear waking up sleeping grownups, especially me.

The daughter is heartbroken.

Eventually, I will get another dog. He won't be Rex. I am thinking more in terms of a corgi.

In the lab

We have a new assignment. Most of the time when we get a new assignment there is a fumbling period until it becomes natural. One of my peers was a tad nervous. I told him to relax as I have tools available for similar projects. It would take no effort to craft a new one. I am old school. give me the tools and point me in the right direction. Apparently, enough people were nervous so that management asked if I have something. I showed them the prototype. One of my peers will do the final touches like selecting better fonts and pasting
legalese.

It is frustrating when one is asked to do something without training or tools.. We don't have that issue this time.

Kick Ass

My boss asked me why I didn't work Saturdays. I hold myself to high standards and unless the productivity is there won't do it. I had a huge day but wrecked my health doing it. My boss has made me promise no more than three diet dews and not to press. The maniacal focus on numbers has scared the crap out of some.

The 80's music started blaring and I went to work, I focused and gunning down the forms. Unfortunately, I get irritated when my concentration is broken. My boss reminded me that my mentoring and leadership is not to be sacrificed on this project.

My peers did not grasp that if I am flying through these they can be freed up to do other things. The big boss
pulled me off to handle some VIP work. As I am doing pure paper, I can put out fires if management deems the problem worthy of immediate action.

Don't Get Mad..... Get Guyanese

We ran out of toner cartridges. My boss was visiting with the top boss and noticed five spent cartridges. I had to lift some from empty offices to keep going. My boss immediately called supply and got me a fresh one. The top boss was impressed that I kept going without a complaint. However, they said they need to be kept in the loop when shortages go on for days.

I am amazed how playing Guyanese Music keeps people out of the office. Don't get mad get Guyanese. The music reminds me of my family. I will be there tonight. 

Obama doesn't understand the military

The media protected incompetant Obama continues to show incompetence in every facet of his job performance. A POW is one who is captured while serving in the military. Our latest clod is a deserter who
knowingly sought out the enemy. Of course once he got there, he was not treated to Club Med.

There are those who state this imbecile acted out of a moral belief. A person who has a moral objection does not drop his weapons and go AWOL. Nor was this the case of a soldier sneaking off base on a beer run or trying to see a romantic interest. Those actions would also be wrong but fall into the category of as humans we sometimes use bad judgement. If you have a moral objection to something you just come to the front and say No and accept what the system has as a response. You can voice your concerns as part of the disciplinary process that will follow.

Obama has gotten a free pass throughout his life due to his bio and connections to the far left. Long ago he has established he was not qualified to be President. He has never shown an ability to run anything or outstanding vision. He is a party hack elected on an idiotic story that is entirely false. Obama is merely the Prep School Pothead who got a series of jobs through nepotism.

Managerial Bonuses

One of the items that should be discussed in the Obama scandals is the subject of managerial bonuses. It appears there has been some creative accounting to achieve bonuses. These practices almost certainly predate Obama and the administration.

Trading terrorists for deserters is bad policy.
