Lois Lerners Criminal Acts

As a public servant one is familiar with the ethics training every employee of the Federal government receives annually. Lerner is an attorney and involved with administrative law and held to a higher standard than a clerk.

Employees of the government are protected from lawsuits when their mistakes occur within the official duties of the job. This is actually a topic one considers at some level each and every day. My boss who is an attorney would be the first to tell you I veer towards caution and restraint. In general the rules that dictate my job is the need to know. In one case, I told another supervisor just discussing the specifics of what was in that file would likely land me with an EEO issue. In this instance this supervisor had a need to know in order to carry out her job. She did an outstanding job with the case and was a great help.

On the job there is zero room for anything less than impartiality. There are who layers of laws that govern abusing your authority. I had a different conversation with a staff attorney about what is profiling and what is due diligence. Person A is from a country with issues of terrorism. There is no evidence the person in front of me is involved. Routine questioning is the norm and unless something in the response warrants additional scrutiny that is the end. Person B is from the same country and has a money laundering arrest. The crime has been identified and additional scrutiny is warranted. Person C is not from a country where terrorism is an issue but has the same arrest. Additional scrutiny is warranted on a criminal basis without the national security  angle.

 If person A were subjected to extended questioning solely on the basis of country of origin, this would be an ethical violation. Additionally, this would be a waste of time, resources and a public relations disaster. As people are not perfect sometimes this does happen. When I am being questioned for security clearance sometimes I have to remind the investigator of the boundaries. This is typically done with the phrase I will answer that question although it falls into my zone of privacy and is not pertinent to your investigation. An experienced investigator gets the hint, but new ones do not. The subject of what is an alias is a sticking point.
A religious ceremonial name was termed an alias. I pointed out this was not a name I use. Other than two members of my immediate family nobody knows what my exact ceremonial name. These names are so obscure they are placed in index cards at the house of worship. Moreover, they are categorized as translations of my name in a foreign language used for solely for religious ceremonies and not aliases.

In the case of Lerner, she abused her position to adversely impact those with political views she opposed.
Lerner as a lawyer and managerial level employee are held to high standards. She was aware that she was violating the law and should be punished to the maximum extent of the law. In fact her actions are so heinous that a set of new laws should be crafted named after her.

Leftists are fond of invoking paranoia about Black Listing and counter intelligence operatives infiltrating Peace Movements. Lefties leave out the part that Communists were indeed advocating support for Stalinism
and Communists did commit treason and spy for a hostile foreign power. In most cases Communists were
never confronted directly for their insane beliefs. In the case of the Vietnam Protesters, lefties forget about the criminality and direct ties to domestic terrorism of the protest leaders, Lefties omit rampant vandalism, large scale drug use and Communist leadership of Peace Protests.

Lerner is a leftist who abused her authority to prevent people she politically opposed from participating fully in their First Amendment rights. She was part of a government agency that trampled on the rights of peaceful
TEA Party activists to organize and participate in the electoral process. Donor and membership list were leaked in direct violation of the Privacy Act. Additional government agencies harassed these same people.
Lefties talk about voter ID cards suppressing the vote but remain silent on the actions of Lerner.

Lois Lerner is possibly the greatest villain in American history aside from Criminals and racial arsonists. Now some of you would point to Benedict Arnold. General Arnold's multiple heroic actions and his mistreatment
by some cronies make his case less odious than the crimes of Lerner. Richard Nixon did many admirable
things prior to Watergate. The crimes of Lerner are far more serious than Watergate.

Now the voices of the left who talk of marching with Dr. King and raises the often criminal peace protester
are silent about actual abuse of people for ideas they disagree with. When David Horowitz, Ron Radosh and other former leftists talk about the totalitarian aspects of the American left many of you laugh. The silence of the mainstream Democrats about the crimes of Lerner is deafening.  

Why Government Is Never The Answer

I had an interesting conversation with my boss. I want to stress that I respect and honor a boss who has been very good to me. In the conversation I understand the limitations of government and why it is incapable of ever being reformed or accomplishing much.

The actual job of any government is to serve the people. All other tasks are secondary. The government serves the people most efficiently by using its human capital wisely.  Take employees and place them in tasks most suited to their strengths.

In my tenure some of the personnel moves are head scratchers. A key job of supervision is leadership and in my area leadership is lacking severely. The managerial selections are made through a series of cronyism and political intrigue. The notion of picking effective leaders and people with vision is an afterthought.

Management is forever in a series of never ending meetings. The meetings don't accomplish much and the managerial time is reduced by mounds of paperwork. Bad ideas are championed and an Amen chorus tries to rationalize failed ideas.

Unfortunately, the Amen chorus picks winners and losers and most frequently these are arbitrary whims. Conformity and accepting bad ideas is the model rather than transparency and innovation. A colleague was criticized for his independence. In his case the people calling the shots were morons and his objections were prudent.

The first line supervisor should be tasked with building a successful team. The supervisor should have strong leadership skills and be a problem solver. Ironically the best at getting productivity from employees who were written off was one supervisor who was demoted and a temp.

In the private sector there is accountability for failure and bad ideas. The government has no accountability
and has zero ability to remedy failures. Lois Lerner types who abuse their authority are seldom ever punished. If the government actually gets anything done it is likely due to the dedication of the street level worker who is dedicated to public service.

Just Saying

There are those who are bent out of shape over what appears to be a revenge killing in Israel. Of course the Obama administration rushed to condemn this retaliation. Frankly given the behavior and intransigence of Arabs I am shocked this type of retaliation does not happen much more frequently.

Arabs kill themselves daily for no reason. They mistreat and abuse others and sit upon plenty of colonized real estate. They have land in abundance, yet they demand more ethnically cleansed land.

It has not been established how this person died. The Israelis will make an effort to find and punish the killer.
The PA regularly lynches alleged collaborators regularly and nobody cares or worries about rights.

Crisis at the border and heartland

I want to open with a simple reminder that any system with millions of humans is complex and volatile. In general, I support many of the Obama policies.

1) We should focus our energies and limited resources on criminal cases and fraud. Deportation even in those areas is a time consuming process and we should use our resources wisely.

2) Extending recognition to gay and lesbian couples.

All this being said there appears to be a clueless belief that immigrants will just be a constant. Actually, immigrants react to our policies. The situation at our border is a direct consequence of non enforcement
of our laws. If you remove the consequence of deportation this is the result.

In the coming days the administration will have to act. The problem is way too large. Perhaps like Katrina or Sandy there will be a deployment. Like either my odds of going are zero as people who produce are kept on duty.

The story of why Obama is not held accountable remains unknown. By now a leader like Michael Bloomberg would be acting decisively. A leader is supposed to lead and Obama just is poor at taking charge of anything and producing results.

Shady games at Huffington

The folks over at Huffington are quite amusing. I am no fan of Donald Trump. However, the rant about Trumps race baiting from a buddy of Al Sharpton is amusing. In a post that is supposed to be about the Central Park Five it spends plenty of time about Obama.

If the Central Park Five got a raw deal much of the blame belongs directly at Al Sharpton's feet. The article neglects Sharpton calling the victim a whore and blaming her boyfriend for the rape. This bombastic blame the victim race garbage clouded the entire case. Sharpton could have argued facts and logic instead he chose to call a rape victim by name a whore.

The overwhelming evidence of innocence is a fantasy of those looking for dreams. The fact that Reyes DNA was found does not infer he was not part of the group. In fact the injuries are not consistent with a single perpetrator. Nor does Reyes confession he acted alone stand up to the case facts. Nor does the convenient
confession ( no additional prison time for Reyes) and the subsequent crimes of Reyes have anything to do with this case. It was well known from the confessions that there were more than six assailants.

If there is blame to be assigned in this case it belongs to Sharpton and media clown lawyers trying to turn the judicial system into racial comedy. The case should have been argued on facts and logic, but the defense didn't have them. Rather than argue facts and logic the case was argued as deranged drama.

I leave the readers of Huffington to ponder if a friend of Sharpton who called a rape victim a whore should be complaining about Trumps words.

The Obama Administration is the greatest disaster

There are those who compare Nixon to Obama. Nixon was neither stupid nor incompetent. Watergate was trivial compared to the Obama scandals. The difference is the media anointed Obama on an entirely false narrative. Part of the blame falls squarely on Democrats who have been silent. Allegedly Bill Clintoon has described Obama as incompetent in private but in public he remains silent.

The leftwing talking points on the IRS scandal have shifted. First it is out of control low level agents in Cincinnati. Then its talk of "phony scandals". Then Lois Lerner who is allegedly an attorney states I have done nothing wrong but invokes the Fifth Amendment. This is not how this amendment is wrong. Furthermore, government employees are protected from actions when they act within their job. Example an FBI agent reads a report incorrectly and lets a criminal go or misinterprets a law. These are honest mistakes that occur while performing a job. This is far different than the actions of Lerner who needs to go to jail for her actions.

The latest excuse is Lerners Emails have magically disappeared from her hard drive. Emails are stored on a server and if they disappeared it requires an act of immense efforts. Unlike erasing tapes taking key peoples names out of servers requires multiple tech pros. If Lerners emails were stored off the server she is in violation of  the records rules. In this case we have no reason to give her the benefit of the doubt. One can assume the worst and Lerner should be held in contempt until she talks with no immunity. Let her rot in jail for her actions. Why would someone store their emails in such a manner unless they were up to some criminal endeavor.

In my own emails there are all types of jokes, but none off color. A Guyanese person asked me what village my people are from? I said the one with the Village People and the YMCA. Someone asked me about a weird musical group from NYC that dressed in crazy costumes and I said are you referring to KISS. Yes, I do joke about the Village People as they are along with Blondie a part of NYC landscape. Somehow in homophobic NYC YMCA is played at every sporting event alongside "We are the Champions" by Queen
if a team wins. Gays are just part of NYC culture and other than the tacky parades are fairly innocuous and mainstream. There were a few jokes about a Surf Band that dresses up like Hasidic Jews. They are pretty good and most members are Jewish so this is proof almost anyone except my brother can potentially be cool. I still can't find a CD but someday....

The disaster at the border is Obama inspired. In the fantasy land where Obama lives immigrants don't react to our policies and abide by our laws. Obama initiates a policy of non enforcement of settled law and grants benefits to people illegally smuggled in as children. Then is shocked by a tidal wave of children seeking similar amnesty.

The impact of the Obama policies on the lives of the working poor  is worse than hurricane Katrina and Sandy. Lets cut hours for low paid workers to avoid Obamacare but raise the minimum wage. The result is underemployment and the working poor are worse off than ever. Of course there are jobs in the energy
sector, but Obama is more concerned with his University faculty loafers than working families.

Arrest Lois Lerner

The scandal at the IRS is bigger than Obama. The entire integrity of the Federal government has been compromised by the actions of Lois Lerner and her cohorts. This is the USA, we do not permit government officials to abuse their authority for partisan purposes. The actions of Lerner are straight out of the Hugo Chavez playbook.

The basic rule is that US government employees are protected from legal liabilities if their actions fall within their job. Lois Lerner's actions violated every principle of ethics and she should be punished to the full extent of the law including jail time and forfeiture of her pension. Employees are protected from liability in the case of an honest mistake if they believed they were acting within the law or were just incompetant. Lerner's actions rise to malfeasance and was well aware of her violations of the law and is not protected.

The GOP needs to play hardball with the IRS and treat it as a corrupt agency. I do not favor collective punishment in most circumstances. In this case,the actions are so heinous that they dwarf Watergate. The goal should be to smoke out all the managers who had anything to do with the illegal activities of Lerner and the subsequent cover up.

1) Pay and Hiring freeze at the agency until employees step forward and co-operate with the investigation of Lerners activities and cover up.

2) Criminal prosecution of those responsible for ethics violations.

3) Early retirement for those eligible.

4) Demotion and reduction in grade and reassignment to other agencies for lower level participants.

Those who assist the prosecution of Lerner should be awarded step increases.

Lerner may fancy herself an Obama loyalist. Lets see how she fancies herself when her actions cause financial hardship on her peers.

Violating the very core of ethical standards for partisan purposes is a heinous crime. Anyone familiar with the ethics training that government employees get annually know that these abuses are prominently covered in annual training. Lerner is allegedly a lawyer and as such should be held to a higher standard.

RIP Tuco

Eli Wallach was a talented actor who was in two of the most memorable films ever The Good The Bad and The Ugly and The Magnificent Seven. Ironically, he claims the most fan mail he ever got was from playing Mr. Freeze on Batman. He also starred in a two part episode in Kojak.

Hopefully the movie channels will set up some tribute.

I would also like to state a RIP wish to Steve Rossi. He was a decent humble man who occasionally worked in the Catskills. He had an interesting show. I was somewhat surprised to read Mart Allen is still with us. May he live to be 100 and then some.

Just Stupid but likely

There is a tendency that permits people to use racial expletives among themselves in society. Thus a Black person may use the dreaded N word in addressing fellow Black people without penalty. However, if a white person uses the word a suspension is likely.

This is probably the likely source of the homophobic slurs in the emails observed by Gowdy. The truth is that that type of garbage should never be used in any capacity by a federal employee.

The truth is that at work homophobia does occur. As a way of illustrating the mindless hatred I do jokingly call heterosexuals breeders. I have had more than a few fights over homophobia. The very people who would rightly end your career over the use of the N word will bandy anti gay terms freely.

When the law changed and Gay marriage was added, I asked to be the first to adjudicate such cases in my office. When those who objected to hearing these cases asked me for my support I blasted them. There is no place for bigotry on the job. I do not tolerate it in my personal life either. I have had lunch with gay coworkers on plenty of jobs.

I certainly hope the type of stupidity expressed in the IRS emails was two gays joking about their own preferences. There should be policies that spell out using certain words as terms of endearment are not permitted either.

I find it amazing that our local bird brained poultry fails to grasp that our local AILA chapter has been supportive of my career. I have also attempted to deal with biases against the poor and gender at work.
 I have always stood for fairness and transparency in the system. A lawyer can not serve their client unless we discuss what issues there are openly. For example a person obtained a diplomatic passport falsely and a discussion over the relevance of a certain section of the law ensued. After a short discussion a solution was reached and everyone lived happily ever after.

How Poultry claims to know more about my career than the local legal practitioners is unknown. Then again when one rationalizes communist history and has clear obsessions, he is not playing with a full deck.

Don't get mad get Guyanese

Those who know me personally know I am a complex person. I stand for certain things and I don't tolerate two legged rats. My reaction to those who rat on their peers unless serious ethical issues are involved is shunning. You become an unperson and my normal reaction is to turn my back. If the dialogue is work related the response is state your business and go. This treatment is permanent and lasts years and there is no forgiveness.

A rather mundane episode was spun into something bigger. Cooler heads warned this person don't mess with that one. Her boss tangled with me and wanted no part in round two. I explained that this one is different and there will be no round two. After two months the rat decided to move. Most people want a friendly neighbor and it is smarter to head out quickly.

I will finally have peace and quiet. I don't mind occasional noise, but constant non stop yapping unrelated to work gets on my nerves.

Found My Maltese

I found my dog on the internet. A dog matching the description of my Maltese showed up nearby. I pointed out the description matched but I could not see the picture. My daughter in law saw the pictures and was almost certain it was Rex. I gave the girlfriend the words and got a call two hours later Rex is home. Not believing her or my daughter I went to see. My daughter was seeing him everywhere and the girlfriend are not as good as I am under stress.

In seconds I knew it was Rex. He was eating vanilla ice cream and enjoying the attention. He is so loved by all in the house.  I was pricing out a West Highland or Cairn terrier as another Maltese would be not good for the house.

Times may be rough, but  it isn't a home without Rex. Four generations of our family love the little guy.

Obama's Invisible People

You hear much rhetoric from the administration about the working poor. However, the administration has done anything and everything to make their lives hell. A typical example is in my own family. The Daily News wrote about the low wage jobs at the airport. It carefully avoids discussing 29 hour work weeks caused by Obamacare.

Obama has pushed aliens into the laborforce. Low skilled Americans now have countless people looking for the same job.  Employers have no rationale to raise wages or hire full time employees.

Its time to stop pretending that Obama cares about poor people because he is Black. His policies have hurt the working poor, young Americans and scores of other groups. He seems more focused on the TEA Party than Al Queda.

It used to be that students who graduated with a nursing degree found work in seconds. My waiter in the Greek Diner can't find work. The stunning Latina single mom has an associates degree and no work.

While Obama and his media elite cronies play golf and eat fondue America suffers. Obama trades hardened terrorists for a deserter. His foreign policy seems designed by pot heads for pot heads. His best friend is the corrupt hypocritical tyrant in Turkey. Yes Turkey, the same one fixated on Israel while ignoring actual indigenous Kurds. Did we mention the suppression of  secular protesters in Turkey?

Electing Obama did not erase the racial sins of the past. No person could do that with a mere elected post.
The election of an incompetent pot head has hurt all kinds of Americans.

Where are these invisible people who work 29 hours. Don't blame the corporations for the mess created by
Obama. Blame Obama for absurd support for programs that hurt the working poor.

Missing my Maltese

The girlfriend lost the dog the other day. Prospects for getting him home are dim. Rex was a lovable dog, who loved me most of all. From the hysterical greeting at the door to sleeping by my side he was a great companion. As he is a purebred no doubt he is likely doing well in some other home by now. I miss the little guy and the memories we had. No matter how sick I was he never left my side. He was smart enough to know that little children fear waking up sleeping grownups, especially me.

The daughter is heartbroken.

Eventually, I will get another dog. He won't be Rex. I am thinking more in terms of a corgi.

In the lab

We have a new assignment. Most of the time when we get a new assignment there is a fumbling period until it becomes natural. One of my peers was a tad nervous. I told him to relax as I have tools available for similar projects. It would take no effort to craft a new one. I am old school. give me the tools and point me in the right direction. Apparently, enough people were nervous so that management asked if I have something. I showed them the prototype. One of my peers will do the final touches like selecting better fonts and pasting
legalese.

It is frustrating when one is asked to do something without training or tools.. We don't have that issue this time.

Kick Ass

My boss asked me why I didn't work Saturdays. I hold myself to high standards and unless the productivity is there won't do it. I had a huge day but wrecked my health doing it. My boss has made me promise no more than three diet dews and not to press. The maniacal focus on numbers has scared the crap out of some.

The 80's music started blaring and I went to work, I focused and gunning down the forms. Unfortunately, I get irritated when my concentration is broken. My boss reminded me that my mentoring and leadership is not to be sacrificed on this project.

My peers did not grasp that if I am flying through these they can be freed up to do other things. The big boss
pulled me off to handle some VIP work. As I am doing pure paper, I can put out fires if management deems the problem worthy of immediate action.

Don't Get Mad..... Get Guyanese

We ran out of toner cartridges. My boss was visiting with the top boss and noticed five spent cartridges. I had to lift some from empty offices to keep going. My boss immediately called supply and got me a fresh one. The top boss was impressed that I kept going without a complaint. However, they said they need to be kept in the loop when shortages go on for days.

I am amazed how playing Guyanese Music keeps people out of the office. Don't get mad get Guyanese. The music reminds me of my family. I will be there tonight. 

Obama doesn't understand the military

The media protected incompetant Obama continues to show incompetence in every facet of his job performance. A POW is one who is captured while serving in the military. Our latest clod is a deserter who
knowingly sought out the enemy. Of course once he got there, he was not treated to Club Med.

There are those who state this imbecile acted out of a moral belief. A person who has a moral objection does not drop his weapons and go AWOL. Nor was this the case of a soldier sneaking off base on a beer run or trying to see a romantic interest. Those actions would also be wrong but fall into the category of as humans we sometimes use bad judgement. If you have a moral objection to something you just come to the front and say No and accept what the system has as a response. You can voice your concerns as part of the disciplinary process that will follow.

Obama has gotten a free pass throughout his life due to his bio and connections to the far left. Long ago he has established he was not qualified to be President. He has never shown an ability to run anything or outstanding vision. He is a party hack elected on an idiotic story that is entirely false. Obama is merely the Prep School Pothead who got a series of jobs through nepotism.

Managerial Bonuses

One of the items that should be discussed in the Obama scandals is the subject of managerial bonuses. It appears there has been some creative accounting to achieve bonuses. These practices almost certainly predate Obama and the administration.

Trading terrorists for deserters is bad policy.

Beakerkin on Leave

Some officers crave human contact. Others prefer to toil with less public interaction. Despite the views of my peers I prefer the later. The key is too self entertain and transform the office to a factory. Crank the music up
close the door minimize extraneous interactions.

Predictable Media Blames Guns But Ignores Mental Health System Failures

Once again after a shooting the media and hypocritical leftists will rail about guns. The predictable image of a grieved parent blaming guns comes in seconds. While we should empathize with the loss of these families the media needs to stop feigning innocence with its own role in these events.

The killer was once again well known to mental health care providers. These killers often come from affluent  to upper middle income families and have access to quality mental health care. Institutionalization has become a bad word, but the average family is not equipped to deal with ticking time bombs.

The media coverage of every aspect of the pathetic lives of these killers is part of the problem. No doubt the public has a right to know who went haywire. Yet the desire for celebrity is part of the motivating factor behind theses massacres. If you want your rants published just shoot a few people and the media will go to absurd lengths to report it.

The mental health care profession needs to be held under scrutiny. What is the name of the professional who
treated this person. This is not to say that all of the blame belongs on the clinician. However, is this a case of
clinicians not having the tools and resources to address a serious case or misdiagnosis. Mental health care also depends on the co-operation of the patient.

We need to stop reporting these idiotic manifestos. These manifestos have little information useful to the public. If a hypothetical criminal was obsessed with trans fat and bringing back Good and Fruity let it be discussed at lengths by criminologists not the mass media.

At a certain point the question of affluence and long term mental illness is appropriate. We hear familiar rants about untreated mental illness and crime from the media. Yet the perpetrator was neither indigent, nor untreated and no questions have been asked.

Spending the day with the family

It is Guyana independence day and I will celebrate the birth of my adopted country in Queens. Guyana. Of all the moments I pass being a father and grandfather are the best. I didn't expect to enjoy the role so much, but it suits me.

A nice day with the girlfriend, daughter, grand kid (long story) and friends from the Guyanese community is on tap. I will eat some curried lamb with bora.

I want to wish all the veterans of the armed forces a happy Memorial Day. War is something to be done after all else has failed. My grandfather was a proud veteran of a forgotten war for a country he loathed and left at the first opportunity.

Enjoy time with the family or loved ones.

The little Maltese will greet my return. I fell asleep on the patio yesterday. He jumped out the window and wanted to run.

Spent some time with the family

My daughter and her cousin were there. Have no idea how those small girls can devour such large quantities

of ice cream and string cheese. My relatives from Guyana were over. Part of me is more at home in the forest or the jungle than the concrete canyons. 

I could use a stint in nature.

The Round Up

I will be off to visit with my family in Queens. I love spending time with my daughter. As I get older the time with my daughter means more to me. Oddly, I never seem to think of my own moments as a child.

It is memorial day and I am not doing the usual survivor tour. My older half brother was in the Navy and sometimes servicemen would want to retrace the events of an ordinary man. 9-11 is far enough away that the people signing up really don't seem to think about that much.

I want to thank those who served as well as the families who stayed at home while their loved ones served.
Some of us respect the traditions and honor that go with serving in the military.

I remember being in the South on Veterans day at the Golden Corral.  I was with a few friends that served and felt embarrassed when vets thanked me for my service as a federal officer. I pointed out I don't carry a gun. They pointed out the nature of the work commands respect. It was a humbling experience.

There are those at work who claim the new mission is punishment. My opposition to one task is well known. Sadly, if this is a punishment I am enjoying it. I don't have to fix mistakes of people who boast about their work. The attorneys are not pleased because I am a popular guy and can be counted on for a fair hearing.
Peers that are burned out are annoyed because I don't have to interview unless it is an emergency. I can stay in my office get cases done and listen to SURF music. I actually enjoy interviewing, but that aggressive format is not for me. Also you get to see who does what in that format and not seeing the work of your peers is best.

Right now I am in the infrastructure phase.

Monday is Guyana independence day as well as the birthday of John Wayne and James Arness.

Decorum and professionalism

A couple of stories in the news.  A CNN employee was allegedly fired for wearing absurd outfits to work.  The suit alleges gay bias. While there is lots of discussion about what is and is not appropriate work wear the discussion involves heterosexual females 90% of the time. 90% of that is from females bothered by other females wearing skimpy outfits.

Being male I am burdened by the absurd tie. I don't like ties and they get in the way. If I am performing a ceremony or testifying in court this is another matter. It is an anachronistic feature that should be optional.

However, if I chose to dress up like Davy Crockett or in  traditional  Indian attire then that is a distraction.

One time is a joke, but a long term pattern is something else. If I wore the Guyanaman shirt every week that would be an issue.

This issue is not homosexuality so much as outrageous clothes creating a distraction.

Pregnancy BS

As I depart my area, my last of the odious interview type was supposed to be yesterday. Then an extra  set of cases was added to my desk due to a coworkers pregnancy. This person had a huge mouth and wanted to do the toughest work. Now she alters schedules and everyone has to take her dirty work. No big deal if she didn't make such a production,

Mayoral Adams Family

I don't hold the fact that the Mayor's wife was a lesbian against her. In the real world there are those who do make choices and decide to change paths. Although her specific choice of a stoner partner is perfect fodder
for comedy.

In the campaign, the Mayor hid behind the media crafted image of a wonderful family. The most absurd element was getting the son's oversize afro in every ad. There is a running joke that if the Mayor's son gets a haircut, he might have to change jobs.

The revelation that she was not the best mother is no shock. That being said she is hardly alone in this respect. All of us including myself end up short at times. It is a human frailty and a sign of the times. The very wealthy hire domestics to do the menial functions and none of us say a word.

No the Mayors family was not as perfect as advertised. Then again no family is or should be expected to be
a post card or corporate logo.  Despite claims by our stoner mayor, the Guilani and Bloomberg family were not marketed like Chef Boyardee.

Yes the Slacker Mayor's family is not perfect. Then again whose family  looks and functions like an ad anyway. On a certain level  many of us are more Bundy than Walton.

Watching Holocaust the Miniseries again

Watching this as an adult I am actually more impressed by the professionalism and competence of the performers. As a teen one does not catch the level of skill of a George Rose or a Stanley Lebor. The skill of most of the lead performers was evident even on the initial viewing.

Sadly the very talented George Rose was murdered.

Leftist obsessions

The truth is that radical leftists are the most bigoted people on the planet. In one case a lefty was shocked when his anti semitic screeds were featured on Stormfront. This drew no critical comment from 90% of his communist comrades. Especially silent was one Renegade Eye, who went into silence. I contrast this with his

vocal claims that he is a Jew. A hysterical classic was when the Kapo hailed the political views of porn star Nina Hartley as a Jew, but not a Zionist.

We frequently hear commies use code words for Joos like Neocon, Zionist and Israel firster.  The last one is amusing because communists themselves are synonymous with treason in the USA. Also a person with an attachment to a failed idea that seeks the overthrow of the US government should not question the loyalty of those who support an ally. The only other group treated to this obsession is Cuban Americans.

Communists have a scathing hypocritical blind spot with Muslims. Western colonialism is evil, but Islamic varieties are peachy. Jim Crow laws are evil, but Islamic versions are peachy. Pat Robertson is torched for stupid comments about gays, but Muslims who preach killing gays are fine. Actual people who advocate imposing religious law are ignored, but the Born again crew are evil.

Communists also have lethal obsessions with farmers, land lords and small businessmen. The wealthy ones like Soros can merely buy fealty with donations. Communists have seized farms and businesses and shortages occur predictably.

Communists are obsessed with indigenous people only when they are expedient. They will obsess about 

contrived ethnicities like Pseudostinians while ignoring actual ones like Kurds, Berbersand all types of tribal 

groups.  Commies feign some sort of mythical connection to Native Americans steal their history and herd them onto collective farms. Commies even herd disruptive ethnic groups off their indigenous lands and resettle them. Commies also have placed numerous Chinese and Russian settlers onto lands of other indigenous people while railing about the West Bank. Did we mention that Jews are the indigenous people there? 

Commies play fast with the New Testament. The familiar Jesus was a Palestinian is a classic bit that should get howls of laughter. Jesus wasn't called the King of the Palstinians. There was no mention of that term in the works of Josephus. Palestinians lived by the Gaza strip and are believed to come from Crete. They have zero connection to Palestinians. The claim that they are Canaanites is the latest fad. Canaanites are more likely related to Jews than Arabs. For a genuine look at the Judaic roots of Jesus look no further than Zola Leavitt. Commies frequently rant about Zola being a Jew. The late Zola Leavitt would point out that Jesus and his entire teachings are Jewish in substance and form.

The USA is the subject of several mindless rants. The familiar rants about passports, not knowing a second language will be examined here.

Americans don't travel abroad. Yes because we work much harder than lazy Euros with large socialist entitlements and high unemployment. Also the distances between borders are vast. Travel between NY and CA would span several countries in Europe. Moreover until recently one did not need a passport to travel to Canada or certain Islands in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, illegal aliens have made this a thing of the past.

Our history is not the same as Europe. In  my grandparents region people were multi lingual  by history.

Jews spoke Yiddish, Polish, Russian and German  in her area. As the borders are closer and invasions are fairly frequent this is a practical matter. Similarly people in Northern Vermont are bilingual in French due to a nearby border. This is why I also have some limited grasp of French. Had I stayed a decade, I might be bilingual. Plenty of New Yorkers are bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Russian in the course of doing business.

Actual religious, ethnic and sexual minorities emigrate to this country from Europe every day. An Indian in media stated "I can live in the UK or France for decades and be viewed as foreign. In the USA I am just another American". Despite the shrill rhetoric about gays and the USA they frequently do migrate here to big cities from the EU and every spot on the planet.

Gun culture. A gun is a tool and in many cases hunting and fishing are part of the local customs. Poor people do hunt to supplement their diets. Gun deaths have more to do with mental illness and cultural acceptance of violence. As European crime rates continue to rise this is no longer American.   

The Government Email Policy and Lois Lerner

Recently the government has actively changed the computers so one can not look at private email accounts at work. The ability to engage in criminal activities from government computers is very real. Privacy is a serious matter and Lois Lerners actions are criminal. Talking about individual information is a serious violation of privacy.

If we discuss a case, no names or data is exchanged. If  I consult with a peer the attorney might look at the file to see if I missed something. In this case, the US associate attorney has a right to know and examine the entire record. In this case the identity is incidental to examining the legal record.

Example a US Citizen marries a woman from country X. He petitions for his wife and dies before the petition is handled. Note we have not stated a name, location of the country. We are discussing how to handle a case scenario. Once we add names and specifics this is still legal so long as it remains in private conversation between an officer and US attorney. In reality even between agencies sometimes we do  talk about specific cases. These conversations are subject to strict disclosure rules and procedures.

Example: Person Y comes in for an immigration interview. In the course of the interview, the agency acquires
financial records. The FBI must go through a series of steps to get that information. The process also works in the reverse.

Lois Lerner abused her authority for specific partisan reasons. This is a major violation of ethics and deserves to be severely punished to the full extent of the law. She violated procedural guidelines by discussing cases at top levels with other agencies.

In reality within DHS the rules are different. The reason for this is the components of DHS are basically different divisions of the same agency. For the most part there is co-operation, but at times we disagree.
The actions of Lerner who used private emails to conduct official business violate ethics.

Now the government computers have been altered so I have to go to my cell phone for email. Thank you Lois Lerner and you porn surfers for your contributions to the work life of your peers.

Who is Gay or not gay

I am still floored by the obsession heterosexual females have with who is gay or not gay. Some women insist th at they have this rather useless power called gaydar. Of course being able to make a decent pot of coffee is a better skill.

I will point out that once again people mistook me for being gay in Vermont multiple times. The source of this

idiocy was my vocation and interests. Add a couple of stereotypes together and you create a gay composite.

Worked in the fashion industry. Likes Broadway musicals, Reads Art books not dating anyone so he must be gay. 

In this case if I were gay, I would have stated it long ago as a matter of fact. It is nothing to be ashamed of and is merely a detail. Why heterosexual females have the need to go on and on is beyond belief. 

Lately, I am enduring pot head quips. My eyes are red due to severe allergies. I was kidding coworkers about the PBH commercials. Thus similarly listens to surf music, always munching chips so he must be a pot head. Once again a series of facts and a totally incorrect conclusion.

Now I will point out my exasperation with some of my coworkers. Some of these women almost have an Elmer Fudd mentality with gays. "I think I saw one of them hoooomosexuals." I really could care less about the subject. It is not my business who is or is not gay. I don't care who is gay, unless it is in the context of a same sex marriage.

Contrary to popular opinion it is no great feat to work the gay marriage cases. Welcome people to your office. Treat them with respect, listen to the testimony and evaluate the evidence presented. If this is familiar it is because this is how I treat every other case. A few words are altered such as wife to spouse and that is the sum of the difference.

I expected the standard low brow hateful locker room homophobia from guys. Other than a few bad jokes,

that was about it. I point out that there is a difference between laughing with people and at them. A photo of Bill Clinton with a gay couple was presented. He never smiles like that around Hillary. This is neither mean spirited nor offensive. Most of what I saw was ignorance more than hate.

While people may have hunches this does not substitute for facts. I really don't think much about this subject

\and I work with evidence and facts. Speculation based upon stereotypes is not fact, it is embarassing. 

Beakerkin the Pirate

My left eye is bothering me so much I considered wearing an eye patch. Nothing terrible, just severe alergies and heavy pollen and smoke. One of the attorneys joked about my missing a parrot.

At least there were no cracks about Moshe Dyan or Bazooka Joe.

The Dr says daily ice for a weeks and drops should do the trick. The drops cost a fortune and I am cringing at what my boss says about icing my eyes between interviews.

A Sportswriter run amok

A great sports writer got this one wrong. I admit I enjoy the articles of Ralph Vacchiano who is an excellent writer just short of the Myers gold standard.

The Christian Peter signing was part of the NY Giants history. Peter was signed only after immediately going into treatment voluntarily. His employment with the team was contingent upon the treatment. This treatment appears to have been followed. The NFL would be much better off if all teams followed this example.

Will Hill was not drafted by the Giants or anyone else. The first suspension was for Adderall which he has a legitimate need for. The current one is for Marijuana and it should be pointed out it is good enough for Barak Obama and Bill Clinton. Hill's issues should require a Christian Peter type of solution, but they don't seem to do this.

Domestic violence is a quirky issue. It frequently comes in the context of a divorce proceeding. When one points at a person with an arrest of this type the important point is context. Once again this can be mitigated
with proper mental health services.

The arrest of Ahmad Bradshaw for stealing a Playstation is absurd. There is quite a difference between Aaron Hernandez and stealing a video game system. The latter was a stupid act of youth and not the indication of a long term flaw

Like any other group the  instances of domestic violence arrests and DWI need to be taken into context.

Whether sports leagues should suspend people for acts done by Presidents and legal in certain areas is a larger question. The NFL would be better served by mandating costly structured treatment, but that is another issue,

The continued decline of Harrys Place

Harry;s Place is in serious decline largely due to its Bon Vivant Airhead American Correspondent Gene Zitver. Harrys Place had a niche that one could expect. However, one does not read about instances of crass antisemitism on American Universities. One can speculate, but this is likely that the anti Semites are huge Obama fans and on the left.

The gadfly Zitver has turned the site into Obama's fun house. Gene could move the Obama worship to another site dedicated to this. Instead he pollutes the site with Obama puff pieces and dumb Republican stories. He has not dedicated any space to the increasingly apparent Obamanoid malfeasance.

His stupidity is off the chart. It is understandable that this idiot would have a Glenn Beck fixation. Most people would actually listen to a show before writing numerous posts. The gadfly can not be bothered with doing actual research and merely lifts items from Huffington. A classic illustration of this was falsely labeling

Beck anti Semitic for his accurate portrayal of a genuine anti Semite George Soros. The criminal Soros is not welcomed in 90% of the Synagogues and went through great lengths to hide his contributions to J Street.

Funny, Beck didn't disguise himself when he led a Pro Israel demonstration. Soros pays a group to slander a critic and the Bon Vivant follows the direction like a good circus clown.

Did we read about Lois Lerner perjuring herself or the Benghazi debacle? No we read about a fringe NFL prospect who happens to be gay getting drafted. My assessment of the lack of skill of Sam turns out to be correct. Gays have been in the NFL and other sports leagues for years. The need to broadcast it, is something new. If anything broadcasting his orientation helped a marginal pro like Jason Collins get employed. It will be larger news when a real star player makes sch an announcement.

Other than the rare posts of Michael Ezra and the sometimes surprising Sarah the site has become a joke.  

Monica Lewinsky and the Clintoonista machine

Bill Clinton is a seriously flawed person. His personal morality is somewhere between a prostitute and an ambulance chasing lawyer. That being said, at least he was competent and qualified to be President. He also could not be described as stupid. Any comparison of Clinton to Obama is an insult to Clinton.

Bill Clinton has a problem that is not uncommon. His tapes with Flowers were as bad as the Sterling tapes. Of course the media down played the problems. James Carville stated if you drag money through a trailer park one never knows what they will find. The answer is the Clinton and Carville family tree.

The Clinton machine has falsely slandered Lewinsky. Lewinsky was a stupid young woman who had her future ruined by a political machine. The Clinton crew has no morals or class. No doubt Lewinsky is not a sympathetic victim coming from an upper middle class family. Had she never been preyed upon by a sick deranged self centered clown she likely would be an ordinary wife living an ordinary career.

Shame on the left for not holding Clinton accountable to any standards of behavior. The sum of the left is support for abortion. If you support abortion, no matter how inappropriate your actions are with actual women your behavior will be ignored.

The NFL Draft and life

The trends are more or less away from the cannon armed statue. Teams still get crazy over a big arm. The game has changed to me more or less role player heaven. The best coaches grasp versatility and production over hype.

Take time for you

Life passes by before you know it. I am old tired and worn and don't know if tomorrow will be the end. The is the paradox of surviving explosions at the WTC. Enjoy a nap with the small dog whose loving demeanor
is priceless. I fell asleep on the sofa and curled up next to me was the Maltese. Spend time with the daughter and grandchildren. Spend time with the significant other. Joke with the local merchants.

Life is short.

I am approaching 48 most of my life is behind me. I have done many good deeds and made a difference in many lives. Still, those whose disdain for the public foul my profession. I am still fighting the good fight. Perhaps time in Citizenship will refresh me. Being unique and real no doubt people will,still  reach out to me to do the extraordinary. Oddly, the extraordinary is ordinary if we stop and listen and are open. When one looks at the facts most things are possible. Tell people what you need and expect and things get done. Life is too short for games.

Escape for Now

I have escaped the area that I have been ensconced in. The final straw was an interview process I objected to morally and ethically. At any job management has the right to assign work. However, if the worker objects to the work they have options. One can quit or request reassignment to another area in response to those assignments.

The new assignment did not target me personally. It was a large scale policy change that impacted many. I also was upset at the disruption of whole communities on a whim from a distant office. Unsavory people from other units were mixed in  and the place disgusts me.

I have decided to return to Vermont at a future date and the choice was made after weighing the options. I am faced with the prospect of doing this task for twenty years. I have been to Vermont and know no task that can be assigned is nearly as offensive. The bosses were shocked I would consider leaving my elderly parents and daughter. I responded that I am no good to them enraged by performing a task I object to on moral grounds.

My first objection is on the basis of uniformity. We are one nation and federal government should act as best as possible to be uniform. Objection two, I believe in conducting a fair proceeding based upon law fact and logic. In doing this objectionable task, I refocused the questions to be as fair as possible. Objection number three, I don't like performing this task needlessly because others are ignorant, careless and frequently bigoted. Don't throw your garbage on my desk and expect me to be cheery. Objection 4 One size fits all does not work. While I understand the need for cross training placing people in areas unsuited to their strengths makes zero sense. The good workers merely leave and the lousy ones remain. Having a person perform the tasks as needed is different than doing this for twenty years.

Now I am reassigned with my entire unit to another function. In this aspect I am fortunate, but it will buy time
to get out of NYC. Management is not unhappy with me and they grasp my desire to leave is not personal.

I am not exactly popular among my peers. I do not enjoy constant party city next door. I have asked the person next door to close the door. I do not suffer idiots and phonies and do not like this neighbor. I stated I would appreciate her more far away. In real life I am much like Doc Martin and am blunt and direct. Unlike Doc Martin, I treat the public and practitioners very well.

My noisy idiotic phony neighbor is upset because I pointed out her assemblages have lowered my property
values. She is running about playing the victim and I won't respond. I point out to meddlers there are two sides to every story. I am more annoyed by meddlers than shutting off an annoying peer. At least she is doing more socializing away from my office and closing the door.

Check Your Privilege BS

The entire concept is a condescending airhead catchphrase that shows how deranged and divorced from reality our Universities are.

In the real world people face and deal with plenty of adversity. The greatest adversity of all is poverty, It is a very important that public servants grasp the concept of poverty when performing their jobs. When performing a task one wants to consider are the deficiencies reasonably overcome when poverty is considered.

The claim that gays are oppressed is one that most of the gays I know would disagree with. Most gays would rather stress their commonalities with the majority than dwell on separateness. A joke is straight guys always get stuck with the check on date night so gays merely pay twice as much. That type of joke acknowledges a common experience that men of all type have.

In general all people deserve respect. However, it is okay and healthy to laugh together at shared experiences. A person showed me a picture of a happy Bill Clinton smiling with a gay couple. Funny, he doesn't seem to smile like that when Hillary is around expresses acceptance. The only person who might not laugh at that quip is the humorless Hillary.

The notion that certain groups need special time to air their stuff is bs. In a former job men talking about car parts was claimed by a female to be exclusionary. In reality women have plenty of topics they like to discuss among themselves. I don't recall a large objection when a coworker coined the phrase BFT or Black Female Time. However, if anyone joked about White male time he would be banished to EEO purgatory.

To a certain degree over the course of time my observation was it is not racial privilege that holds people back at work. Those minorities that advanced were able to do so by working well with others. The general rule is to respect others and  deal with actions. Jose is annoyed Biff didn't change the toner. This is caused

by failure to change the toner not cultural difference.

It must be stressed that the check your privilege crew is too insular to grasp that minorities themselves need to respect others. If you don't believe this watch the check your privilege crew disparage Black and Jewish Conservatives. People are not bound by membership in a group to think alike. 

Respect others is fine, but check your privilege is condescending garbage.  

Leery

I am not the type to search out past coworkers or school chums. However, there are a couple early in my career that I have a soft spot for. My mentor in the logistics game is still in the field in CA and I have a fondness for him.

When one of my workers tracks me down I am always friendly. The new economy wasn't kind to my crew and I was educated enough to move on. I am surprised so many of them remember me over a decade later.
I no longer think of myself as a logistics man, but I was pretty good. I also left because I had enough. I saw the future and it was best to reinvent myself.

On Friday one of my supervisors I hadn't seen for twelve years tracked me down. He asked me about an ancient girlfriend I had forgotten about. No doubt this will not amuse the girlfriend as she sometimes reads this blog. When he asked who she was I had forgotten I lived with this girlfriend. Apparently she has not forgotten me and bugs my parents who despise her.

I never liked this guy as he appeared naive and was shady. My comanager who has long since retired stated
this guy stabbed me in the back. I went to a smaller facility and left on my own terms around a year later.
The smaller facility was more fun because the boss was the owners nephew who was cool. It was like Captain America and Bucky. I was third in command and had to run the whole show a few times reluctantly.
I did not like that as I prefer to be a technician working in my small area. However, I did the job but never wanted a higher rank. I was sick of the game and left.

I am somewhat concerned why this person would wait for me three hours until I left to get a phone number. I have not been hiding and with any effort my Linked In Account is easy to find. I am gritting my teeth at why this shady type is looking for me now.

Faith

One of the things people get by reading this blog is insight into an ordinary life. There are those of us who swim with the tide. There are those who follow a lynch mob. There are those who are guided by something else. In my case it must be a faith in something that is abstract. As I am not theologically inclined it is not a higher power. My heart just has its own sense of right and wrong and I follow it. There is no justice in mobs, despite the claims of unwashed lefties ranting about "social justice", they are mobs.

I survived the workplace bullying as a reluctant warrior. I never wanted to fight the system or become a symbol. My preference was to perform my job in silence and anonymity. Unfortunately, a group of thugs tried to force values on me that I felt were vile. They should have left me alone and the matter would be forgotten. Instead, they picked a fight with a relentless foe who should have been broken long ago. When the smoke cleared I was left standing, but not without some damage.

My faith in my own values was never shaken. My faith in the system and those who worked within it was shaken. I still have a hard time not thinking of myself as a rebel. Now my values are celebrated and are mainstream. The new director has her heart in the right place. I don't have to rationalize doing the exceptional
as it is celebrated. If there is a person in great need of intervention I am expected to proceed. This is a refreshing change of pace. The new boss is not a former airport inspector and has her heart in the right place.

I never wanted to be a rebel or an icon. My desire was to toil in the shadows with good deeds done for their own sake. When the occasion calls for the heavy hand, I do so because it is part of the job. In essence my actions are guided by the law and I do so. When I act it is within the law and actually on important cases the house counsel note a passivity. I stick to the basics to what can be proven and avoid the more elaborate charges unlikely to be upheld. Oddly, I am unique in that when I act the attorneys still prefer to re argue the case in front of me rather than get a fresh set of eyes.

Perhaps the system merely caught up to me. The wind shifted and I was already with the program before the program started. How can I be cynical when the system corrected itself? In many ways after years of swimming against the tide swimming with it is harder. Then again all faith is empty words and rhetoric until it is tested. My faith was tested and I prevailed.  However, I get no joy in victory. All it takes for evil to prevail
is for a few key people to change the tides.

 

In honor of Guyanese History

We are so glad that in honor of Guyanese Independence day and the birth of its favorite son the US government has declared a holiday on May 26. Grab some curry chicken and Banks beer and celebrate a day honoring the Guyanese in you just as on Cinco De Mayo and St Patricks day everyone can join in.

Now some of you point out it is Memorial Day. Wait it is Memorial Day, but it is also Guyana Independence day as well as the birth of John Wayne.

The Paradox of Bigotry

The Donald Sterling mess has caused me to rethink bigotry. It is rare we see a Nazi or KKK type clod. Much more numerous are Jew obsessed Communists who think their bigotry is enlightened.

The paradox of Guyana shows how bigotry works for 90% of us. In the local community Guyanese have close relationships with all types of people. They live more intertwined lives then Americans and are closer than American neighbors. However, out of the community the bigotry seethes and sometimes is raw.

It would be a simple matter to look at these moments and say your family members are bigots. Actually, the whole story is more complex. On the local level lives are so intertwined that people are viewed as family. Usually, this type of bigot merely lacks the ability to break the mental chains of bigotry by seeing the paradox
with the close relationships in their daily lives. I don't think of you as whatever. This type of comment is rather typical of 90% of bigotry.

Ingrained bigotry like that of Communists is hard wired. The pseudo religious faith requires obsessing over Jews who are not part of the Death Cult. This is why it is okay for deranged lefties to target Jews with fliers
in Universities in their dorm.

Lunacy and being wrong

At work if I make a mistake generally speaking I own it. My current boss was portrayed as a toxic mix of ambition and clueless. In reality I have found her to have a basic humanity that is under appreciated.

I had a case that went sour which was unusual. People frequently cry at the end of an interview but those are typically tears of joy. I explained that the situation was really tragic. The person went to an unlicensed preparer and used a single faulty word incorrectly.The boss asked how I knew it was used incorrectly. I explained I interviewed the person and asked in depth questions prior to discussing the error. The term was clearly used erroneously with catastrophic results.

My boss asked me why I didn't fix the error. I pointed to the clock and my packed calendar and that the job would take roughly three hours. In this case the applicants stupidity and negligence caused his problem. If you want legal advice go to an attorney, not a beautician or mortician. I pride myself in never missing a scheduled interview and asking for help.

The boss asked me what is the alternative for the applicant. Should they wander about aimlessly and hope someone else would fix this or an attorney would eventually correct this. How many years might go by? The situation not only impacted this person but his entire family.

In this instance I looked at my boss and conceded she was correct. I created the paperwork to bring the person back. A person's life should be larger than the clock on my wall. In this case my not performing this task realistically meant a delay of three years or more minimum. Assuming that the following officer would be reasonable even with an attorney is not a given. It was better to invest the three hours now then kick the ball

ahead.

My boss was given a lousy reputation and I really should not be shocked by her very human and warm qualities. Normally, I am the one that doesn't need the reminder, but every now and then even I need a second opinion. In the case of my boss and the previous boss if I were incapacitated and could not make the call  whose judgement would I pick. I hate to say it but I would choose any of the bosses in seconds. They are all great people who mix law and common sense. Each one of us sometimes gets caught up in what we are doing that we sometimes loose perspective.

Another example was while using an experimental technique I got unnerved by the use of an inappropriate

word by an applicant. On the rare instance I hear an epithet or something really offensive a gentle reminder is all that it takes. A disabled applicant said a slur word multiple times, but when this is done by a stroke survivor I am morally reluctant to redirect. My boss called me out and saw in my face my angst. She looked at me and said "forget that word. Everything you need was in the testimony." I looked at my boss and nodded. She pointed out the technique did work very well. Unfortunately, my concentration was broken by the slur and the use of a different technique did not require an exponentially higher standard.

All of us can be wrong at times. Hopefully, we listen to others with different perspectives.

Privacy

Yes even a jerk like Sterling is entitled to privacy. The details of who released this tape and why are a mystery. A enraged wife seeking almost 2 million in gifts given by her husband? A publicity seeking piece of excrement who accepts outrageous gifts for a sexual favors... A clown recording material hacked from cellphones.

Many of you out there might fare just as poorly if selected parts of your conversations were released to the media.

The punishment was excessive, but for practical matters it is best if the team was sold. The commissioner should now consider lifetime bans for players who associate with criminal gangs. It should also consider season long bans for players making bigoted remarks.

and describing his bio. Funny, but Soros is so unwelcome in the actual Jewish community he had to hide his funding of J Street.

We are approaching the end of the great joke perpetrated by the University and Big Media far left elite. The damage to the country will be real and lasting.We are going to learn a great deal about the incompetent pot head Barack Obama.

From what we can glean from publicly available records. Barack Obama Sr and the space cadet mother of Barack Obama were never married. No record of such a union ever took place. No photos of the marriage took place. There is zero evidence they spent one day as a couple under the same roof. There are zero people who even remember space cadet Dunham with Alcoholic libertine Barack Obama Sr as a couple. Obama was the product of a one night stand gone awry. The resulting irregularities on the birth certificate were likely caused by the attempt to cover the illegitimacy up. Had Barack Obama Sr. walked into an office with an actual marriage license the INS tipped off by his grandmother (read the a file) was waiting to charge him with bigamy.

The next set of deception comes at the University level where the Prep School Pot head Marxist feigned he was a foreign exchange student. The admission of Barack Obama Jr into Columbia and then Harvard Law illustrates exactly what is wrong with affirmative action. Obama was not poor and underprivileged and his major relation to slavery in the USA was his mothers family owned them. Researchers have desperately looked for genetic evidence that Obama was related to an early slave. Regardless. affirmative action programs were intended for poor and underprivileged descendants of slaves. The University elite abused the system to admit a Prep School Pot Head Marxist slacker. In fact the games played by Ward Churchill and Elizabeth Warren show why these are not isolated incidents.  In fact a close friend who passed away found out he had a Black Great Grandmother and applied to NYU Grad School and was told he wasn't Black enough. Obama has no desire to show that he scammed the system as it would provide an illustration on why those programs need to end immediately.

Now Obama has weighed in on the Donald Sterling mess. Of course how a person this racist has a mistress
that is Black and Hispanic is unknown. The motives of the mistress who was cut off from funds remains unknown, but in an older day they remained quiet. Judith Exner did not speak until decades later. Of course a person who sat in a racist antisemitic church for two decades really shouldn't comment on this subject. We
could also go into deranged comments that he is better informed than Israel's elected leaders to deal with their long term issues. The judgement of a man who calls the nations most notorious communist terrorist Bill Ayers "an educator from the neighborhood" are suspect. Those of us who reside in Queens can use this term
to refer to Ron Jeremy who has an actual Special Education certificate. Jeremy like Ayers is best known for other activities. That being said nobody has accused Jeremy of being lazy or having his father use connections to get him a job in education.

Leave it to the pot head Obama, to have his wife talk about nutrition while he reminisces about bongs smoked long ago. Nor is this Marijuana Marxism limited to DC. Some of us have been wondering if Mayor Shaggy has his own history. Lets see he is perpetually late, has enough stoner pictures to make us wonder if he really has a dog named Scooby. A Real Moron

I want to point out that unless you are a leftist saying stupid and bigoted things gets you in deep trouble. The NBA Clippers Owners comments are the bottom of the barrel. They are inexcusable and stupid. I will not listen to the self serving comments of Keith Olberman who should not toss rocks at anyone for stupid comments. Nor is the phony, Magic Johnson who feigns to be a nice guy who stabbed his coach in the back.

The NBA is a business. The business caters to most of America, but a large percentage of the audience and players are Black. If you have those dreadful attitudes this is really a bad business to own and operate. How do you get a successful team together, when one has these dreadful attitudes about the players and the fans.

Pro sports teams in general have a problem with owners who treat players like a slab of meat. However, the players show zero loyalty to teams and communities. I miss the days when Leon Hess personally took charge of a paralyzed players medical care. I miss the days when Wellington Mara paid off the contract of a new hire who was diagnosed with cancer days after his hire. Those days are largely gone.

We have gone from the days of owners with hearts of gold to the days of crass foul mouthed punks. Even
George Steinbrenner looked after players when they left his employ. He sent his plane to fly a former player
to Australia when his wife died. I cringe when I hear anything from Charles Dolan's mouth.

Now, I will be somewhat controversial and state that there is a problem with low class criminality and mental illness among players. This is not really about race as in the Martin Bullying case the victim was biracial and the mental defective bully was white.

Not every athlete will exude the class and charm of a Derick Jeter or Grant Hill. That being said smarter organizations really need to include mental health services if only to protect their investment. Some of these players need structure and treatment. In the case of Kerry Collins, the NY Giants treated his issues with alcohol. Tragically, they seemed to have missed the issues of Dave Megett and Mark Ingram Sr.

A recent example has a well known NFL player being cut for allegedly being involved with a street gang. If this is true the team is 100% correct. There are things more important than wins and losses.

There are things more important than winning. The ultimate losers are the Clipper fans. However, in LA they are a second  rate option at best.

I spoke to the ego maniacal lunatic whose presence pollutes my office. He bragged about his being selected

to teach new officers. I pointed the jury is out on his skill. His reputation stems from being the "bitch" of a previous manger who was sent to the rubber room. Her replacement was no fan of his skills.

I pointed out that most of us don't have the need nor the desire to scream they are a paragon with a bullhorn.

Others may sat this, but I make no such statement. Plenty of attorneys and members of the public sing my praises and I pass this onto my boss. I am but a member of a team and how large I or anyone else looms is a matter of perspective. On the rare occasion I make a mistake, I typically accept it and move ahead.

My compassion and genuine respect for the community at large are known. If there is an issue I deal with it directly and don't beat around the bush. I state exactly what the problem is and why this can not be done. When a task is difficult, I explain the problem to the attorney and state it can be overcome with a different approach. The attorneys view my perspective quite differently then the would be hero.

In the end, the worst feeling in the world is to do hard work for no reason. After our so called hero ignores facts and twist logic his errors become my problem. Almost all of the time, I set the person free. All of this chicanery and self promotion for naught. 

We had a new officer stating we are so lucky to have this so called hero. Over time, he has seen that the talk was empty and he isn't quite that good. This officer is now in customer service learning the hard way and it becomes apparent day after day. The other day he told me "you were right".

I told this new officer "Don't ever believe hype. Look with your eyes and imagine the people were your family. Would you honestly want to have your family sit in front of such a person who makes the case all part of an ego trip.

The officer repeated some critiques of my work. I pointed out these themes come from a lesser officer who 

has never had a good idea or bothered to treat people fairly. If a peer sees something differently, I accept this and embrace another perspective. It is not about me or you, it is about the person across the desk and sometimes another perspective can yield another result.

A different new officer was dealing with a new case type. I groaned as she placed her values upon different people.She made assumption after assumption and I wondered what the %$&%&. I knew why her previous unit was more than happy to dump her on us. I can envision the attorney eviscerating her flawed assumptions. I cringed as she started to rant about truth in black and white terms. In this case there will be a child soon and a more rational officer will fix this mess.

The battle between my peer is summed up as the battle between classic Batman and John Wayne. In the classic comic Batman is a dark hero with a world of problems. John Wayne is the classic icon who stands for something. I see my job quite differently than most. My job is more nuanced. I am sometimes shepherd, 

philosopher and much more. When I act, it is because the law requires me to do so. There is room for facts and logic arrayed in a coherent presentation.

This person has no business wearing a badge and is ill suited for public service. A true hero does not shout it from the rooftops. When someone else took credit and was decorated for something I did, I shrugged my shoulders. My peers were bothered and my response was who needs to be a hero when we can be officers?

I do these things each and every day and my file is filled with examples, no big deal.

Doesn't take much for family fun

On my way through a Walmart I picked up a small lawn troll set. I intended to bring it to the office to live out my fantasy of creating a Chia lawn with doll house chairs in my office. My daughter fancied the set and we will be creating something together. Yes it will be tacky, but it is fun that we can share together. I will go to the hardware store and look for some peat moss and small flowers.

Who knew an after thought would create family fun.

Someday I still want to create a bonsai lawn with a lounge chair and in size NY Post and Diet Mountain Dew six pack. My creation will be called beakerkin's retirement fantasy. Perhaps a small radio would be there. An old tape of classic Paul Harvey bits and Oldies music should be in the work of art.

Washed Up at 24

The NY Giants took a chance with Will Hill. His first suspension for aderall  was a mistake by the NFL. This medication was legitimately prescribed by  a medical professional. It does not enhance performance. The other suspensions were deserved and no doubt his career is over in a flash.

The NFL was incorrect in its initial action but Hill deserves the consequences. No doubt some team will give him a chance again. Drug addiction is a sickness and treatments are costly and not guaranteed. 

Sadly, if a person like Will Hill with a world class organization can't get himself clean, how do regular folks get by.

There are no easy answers. Will Hill let down his team mates and his career is over almost without highlights.

Deal With it

I will be representing Guyana at the office open house. When the folks upstairs asked me to participate they did not expect me to represent Guyana. In general I don't participate in these events, but the chance to add to my legend as Extra Crispy Persaud is too funny.

Watching Forrrest Gump, where even slow Americans punch out Commies. Go Forrest go punch out those lefties. It is even better than watching John Wayne knock out commies in Big Jim McClain.

A public service to hack writers

We interrupt  this holiday to talk about piss poor creations. Although, I may disagree with the Duck he has taken the time and effort to craft a persona. This is not to difficult as there is an actual bio behind the blather.

When one deals with a troll one gets no bio and a melange of ignorant remarks.

A well crafted persona should have depth and substance. For example, I could create a persona Narine, a Guyanese Hindu logistics person. The fact that I worked the vocation in question and am fairly familiar with this culture would make pulling it off easy. However, as my bio has never changed, I have neither the desire nor the inclination to craft such a persona.

Oddly, at various points in my blogging history I have been accused of being an Assyrian or Copt impersonating a Jew. I have been called a gay rights militant.  The critique by some commies was that I hide my Judaism to brainwash non-Jews like AOW, Mr. Beamish and the late Dr. Yeagley into supporting Israel.
The new critique based upon my bio is that I am a self hating Jew. Other lefties criticize my choice of romantic partners as not inclusive enough.

The Beak as Uncle

One can tell quite a bit from a limited meeting, In a previous meeting I summed up a previous boyfriend as a cheap Shaggy clone in seconds. The latest clown is severely disturbed, does not make eye contact nor has the ability to interact socially. This one is a well bred psycho loser. He is a sad improvement from a pathetic previous relationship.

In his case he grasps assholes should not talk.

Grandfather again

I will be a grandfather again. I do enjoy a loving relationship with my grandchild and my daughter in law. In the end the time spent as a father and grandfather are the best moments.

Not Understanding Individualism

I work with a close friend who is an elite university graduate from a Muslim country. What still amazes me is his inability to understand individualism. He falls back at each time, but you are Jewish.

The fact that I am Jewish in ancestry does not bind me to a preset political positions. He points out that I would never date a Muslim woman. This might sound amusing except that the person saying it has married a person from his own country. Similarly, when I started a relationship with Sunbeam there were those who were upset I did not date a Haitian  woman first. I don't understand where these obsessions with my private life comes from. However, my tastes are quite eclectic and more varied then those of my critics.

I am not bound by tradition to practice a faith. Unlike far left phonies I have more then a passing familiarity with the faith that they are completely ignorant of. This does not prevent them from screaming I am a Jooo
outraged by whatever. Actually those lefties never were Jews. They are Marxist drone followers of a death cult.

I am free to define my political views with the same intellectual freedom as the next person. I find it odd that this person does not grasp this basic concept of Americanism. There are those who blame his country of origin. I blame the University Intellectual Gulag that imposes far left conformity at the expense of critical thinking.

The point of public service is public service. Unfortunately, there are those who seek to become heroes at the expense of the public. The essence of public service is the person across the desk. When it becomes
about you then the essence of public service is lost.

The sad part is the real Bezos might actually get some ideas from these jokes and get motivated to find ways to generate new revenue.

I am not a fan of the cult of the egomaniac Jeff Bezos and the 24/7 publicity machine. Examples of this endless desire for non stop publicity are the news stories about drones and paying employees chump change to quit. This egomaniac should be rife for all types of comedic skewering.

5) Bezos buys a circus so he can hang out with clowns.

Got out in time

Vermont is about to become the Mecca for high taxation. No doubt had I remained this latest scam involving single payer would be at my doorstep. Even though I was on assignment there for three years, I did pay NYC taxes and had NY health care options. 

No doubt the snowbirds and transplants who relocated to VT and elect deranged socialist lunatics are now going to have to pay for their insanity. How many of them leave for NH or upstate NY remains unknown.

Goodbye J&R

It is with great sadness that this crusty New Yorker conveys this. I should have seen this coming. First the oldies section disappeared, then the records. There are those that love Amazon and the turd of a CEO Jeff Bezos. The factories where the workers assemble the orders are as close to sweat shops as one get.

I miss the old dusty book and record stores. No doubt there are those who miss other forgotten parts of our life like diners with a competent soda jerk. Actually, this is a lost art and I still craft an oldie or two for the daughter upon request.

I miss the mom and pop stores and the small merchant. The days of knowing the guy who ran the hardware store or pharmacy are a thing of the past. We are not better as a society when local institutions die and are replaced by yet another frozen yogurt place or endless sandwich shops. If you have the luck of living in NYC Lennys is the apex of this genre and Potbelly is acceptable. On principle I will not eat in a Subway where the food is dreadful.

I will remember the joy of hunting for gems in J&R. Finding that rare nugget was always a joy that a person of my age will remember.

Fatherhood First

I want to state that the happiest moments of my life are spent with my daughter, daughter in law and granddaughter. This was not a role I intended or thought would happen. Being there as a dad even with the bad moments means everything.

I exchanged emails with a friend who was a true Christian and recently passed. Even though my family is Hindu and I am Jewish I celebrate the Christian holidays with my family as well as the Hindu festivals. On a certain level you will grasp my non thoughts about many things.

I have never been theologically inclined. My view of the matter is that religion is a complimentary function of a well balanced life. At the center of that life are personal ethics and values. Without a healthy core any religion is merely window dressing for hypocrisy.

I remember the Judaism of my youth and it wasn't always annoying. The best of it was the time with my grandfather. We would bring the family together for a Passover Seder. The focus was the family and the Seder was merely a means to an end.

My disdain comes from seeing a mania and Felix Unger type on nonsense from my brother over the most idiotic of small details. Instead of bringing the family together his mono-focused mania and rambling over minutia make his visits annoying. His children are basically headed to a future of mendicancy and cultural impairment.

The battle between myself and my brother is typical of those in many homes. The culture of entitlement is something of a moral and mental defect impacting parts of my community. The impositions of the religious upon their more secular family is never really discussed. When my brother visits he brings his extremism and ignorance with him. Save religious texts and vocation my brother is a cultural zombie and a first class bore.
The house gets transformed into a medieval dwelling and his endless visits become a source of anger.

At the center of this conflict is the sense of entitlement. He is religious so it is peachy that he hold his hand out and live a joke of a life. His wife would be sent into industrial therapy with symptoms remarkably similar to classic inner city conditions that are commonly seen in drug addicts. She has no sense of time, organization,
has zero social skills and can not hold even the most menial of jobs with an advanced accounting degree. Her sloth has burned through resources that should have been intended for other family members. When my brothers car broke rather than get a new one, he pressured my parents into taking mine.

He rushes from party to party giving gifts he can not afford and comes with his hand out. His son is finally in a college attempting to get a degree but years of substandard dedication to secular studies, cultural isolation
and bombastic fixation on Torah will no doubt lead to a life of mendicancy. The best of this pathetic lot is the niece who will likely marry and have kids she can't afford with a theologically obsessed drone.

As a father I made sure that these conflicts do not exist in our home. The holidays serve as a vehicle to bring
the family together. We do not obsess over banal details and the focus is family first. My daughter understands that hard work is part of life and being self sufficient is the only way to live. In essence I recreated the spirit of my grandfather in my own family.

Now some of you may be shocked and appalled, but my grandfather would understand my angst. His life as well as that of my maternal grandmother embodied the following values family, hard work, honesty and self reliance. The notion that one should study theological texts on the dime of others would not be something he would have approved of. Pushing away others with religious boorishness and mendicancy would not be acceptable.

I will be with my daughter at an Easter dinner and there will be no seder this year.  I chose family and substance first. Religion is a way to bring families together. When it divides families or becomes a chore the
essential essence of the faith is lost.

Frummies from Hell

After a long hiatus, the planets worst house guests have returned. They never go home on time and are still here as they drag out their painful toxic visits. The brothers wife has gotten fired from yet another job. The folks are upset that I disinherited his entire family in my will. I am so annoyed at them, I purchased burial space in Guyana to get away from them.

I despise the frummies and the best of this lousy lot is the niece who elected to stay home. They are not bound by things like jobs and responsibility. God takes care of them, usually at my expense and I am sick of them.

I am at the point where I will be writing a will. My parents are steaming, but I gave them nothing except a scathing insult.  

Interesting discussion with peer

Frequently, I disagree with my peers on a range of subjects. Most of the time it is on vs fact and what we can prove. Also if the US Government makes a mistake it increases the burden of proof.

There are a whole range of words that are not supposed to be said in Federal offices. If I hear something perceived to be a slur, I will usually intercede immediately. Most of the time I remind people that this is a legal proceeding and that those words are unacceptable and make you look inarticulate. The most common word that comes out in this context is bitch.

The term retardation is a term that was socially acceptable in an earlier era. When used by a person over 60 it does not have the same pejorative context. In cases where testimony about this subject comes up usually Autism or Downs's syndrome is the term. My peer pointed out that the public has a right to be offensive. He is 100% correct, but in a legal proceeding there is really no need for that. The presiding official is responsible for the tone.

In my case I was cringing because a Stroke survivor used the term multiple times. My discomfort was so great that when my boss called me out the first words out of my mouth were "I didn't encourage that". She was listening and said." I know. However, the woman described everything perfectly. Get her out of here".
My boss was 100% correct and had I not been so disturbed by those offensive words I likely would have made the same decision earlier.

In general there is no place for slurs or even pejoratives in government offices. There are more creative ways to describe people. I refer to one obnoxious peer  at times as Batman, a vampire and as a front man for a horror film. These are descriptions of his style and if anything are insults to vampires everywhere.

My friend is 100% correct that our rights do include the right to be boorish and offensive. However, most of the time a gentle reminder is all that is needed to refocus the applicant. There are certainly more creative ways of expressing  your former wife's annoying habits than calling her a bitch. I also remind people that the officer is more pleased when people admit up to their own failings in an honest manner than blaming others.
It is a gentle reminder that we are in an official proceeding lets respect the forum and the process.

Basic Litteracy

Our friend Duncy has failed basic literacy. The changes at work are not aimed at me. I am bothered by having to perform odious tasks due to the general incompetence around me. Officers mistreat cases because they have never grasped how to perform this job from day one and I am tasked with performing odious tasks to correct these errors. In fact all of the more responsible officers are left with the same anger.

It has been a long time since I was a pariah. In my area I am a healthy role model for the new trainees to aspire to. My denial rate tends to be lower because I understand the law and know when to stand your ground. My boss asked me Beak what do you think of this one. I told them its is a losing proposition and to cut it free and I did so. The folks who prioritize what goes in front of the judge appreciate my efforts. Oddly the person who does that is a leftist. She understands the judge is a last resort for cases that need to be there. She performs the mental calculus at the next level. When she wants something done she knows who to ask. Likewise when odd problems arise she usually covers my back. I had a classic one where I warned an attorney, if I can't solve this your client will either have to go back to a war zone or submit DNA. The attorney preferred my approach and with the help of the language lab no DNA was required. I understand the options and present the plans of action.

I am a survivor of work place bullying and live each and every day with PTSD. In my case, I was doing the job right all along and was a model employee. My abuser has remained in the rubber room for four years.
My points have been amply proven.

Lefties are far more obsessed with Joooooos than the Ostritch brigade acknowledges. Who was that Duck who claimed Joseph Lieberman represented Tel Aviv. Sounds like those whose past is synonymous with treason are projecting their  crimes on others.

Not Worth the Wait

I finished With Musket and Tomahawk volume two in one evening. It is an enjoyable book if you are not familiar with the Battle of Oriskany. As I have read several books on this subject it didn't add much I didn't already know. However, if you are unfamiliar with the events in question it is excellent light history.
