Round Three of In the Hot Seat By Popular Demand Warren

This site has had several request to do a Warren interview. If I could not get volunteers I would have asked Warren as he is family. Most people know that Warren is my closest friend in the blogosphere. In the early days it was Warren and the Beak vs an Army of anti Semitic Marxist trolls. I still pay tribute to the early days with my jokes about 167 at the end of each post. Our critics have long gone and this blog and Warrens are larger then our critics. Our critics fled as soon as Jason Pappas showed up. Communists are afraid of Libertarians for obvious reasons.

It is time for the US government to get serious and start prosecuting these law breakers. It is time that Colleges learn that student loans and research grants can be eliminated from Universities that do not clean up their act.

Sowell on Education of Black's the dirty four letter word WORK

The dirty little secret is that our schools have been failing . The failures are linked with the rise of a political Teacher's Union. The failed educational theories of Marcuse have yeilded students who can't read. This is evident in my own family where my test scores for reading were at college level in the fourth grade. I was reading the New York Times in second grade. My younger brother the Beloved Rav Roov was reading at a third grade level before he set foot in a school. One would think my neices would have some of the ability but it is sadly wrong.

The failures of the system are most evident in minority schools across the country. Yet throughout the country there are schools where minority students beat the odds. Sowell shows a variety of methods do work but the common denominator is hard work.
Washington's famed Dunbar school was an example of excellence. Yet is was turned from a special school to a local school in the era of social engineering. Now Dunbar is just another failed inner city Scool.

Sowell points to the missionary spirit of some of the early black schools. The mission was not about books and learning it was about building men and women. That type of education continues in select public schools but mostly in the parochial schools. These schools are unburdened by PC imperitives and demand results. Yet the notion of vouchers is denied to the kids the most by the Democrats who are in the pocket of the Teachers Union. Hillary Clinton made an odd gaffe when she spoke of potential " Church of White Supremacy or Jihad Schools". Her entire focus is on protecting a failed system run by her donors in the Teachers Unions.

Sowell has found the RX is hard work and high expectations. The Marcuse based educational crapola ebonics, afrocentrism were not practiced at Dunbar. Students at Dunbar learned Greek and Latin and excelled in the highest levels of higher education without quotas.

Yet the notion that hard work and high expectations should be the key to sucsess at anything should come as a surprise to none.

Thomas Sowell goes into the history of the German people.Sowell points to the large specter people place on the Nazi years. The Nazi era was a shameful era but we do not single out other groups. Do we hold the Russian people accountable for Communism. In fact creepy anti semites hold the Jews accountable for Communism. Lately, I have heard several attempts to blame the Holocaust on Jewish financiers.Do we hold Chinese accountable for actions of its Communist government ?

Anti Semitism was an is a fact of European life. Today it is a far left disease and dementia with Ancient roots. Jews were persecuted middlemen minorities and Sowell points to several other groups suffering similarly in history.

There is no reason any rational person should apologize for its failures. The story of Islam is fairly simple. Islam should be judged by its history and the recent actions of its adherents. How should we deal with Domestc Enemies or Deport the Duck

Part of the Commie game that the far left plays is the dual loyalty charges aimed at American Jews. 167 and the Duck get very testy if any of us hint that Mooooslims might have loyalty issues. We have moved away from prosecuting sedition and treason. However it is time we as Americans reconsider what Communism and Jihadism is and what we should do about it. Another Example of a group who should have its leaders in Denaturalization proceedings is Code Pink . Code Pink gave money to our enemies in Falujah. Sowell On the Real History of Slavery

Thomas Sowell takes on the loathsome subject of slavery. The vast majority of readers of this blog agree that slavey is odious. The sole exceptions are Ducky and 167 who endorse its modern equivalent in Gulags.

Sowell points to world wide concept of slavery. Africans, Asians, Native Americans and almost every group under the Sun owned slaves. Slaves were a part of mans ancient history. Most of the time slaves were of the same race as their owners. Unlike popular fiction the TransAtlantic slave trade was often carried out by Black and Arab raiders who did the actual capturing and sold the Slaves to ships on the coast of West Africa.

The Arab slave trade lasted far longer and was far deadlier then the familiar translantic period. Castration and journeys overland produced high mortality rates. Nor was the trade in slaves limited to blacks. Muslims had plenty of slaves from the Caucus and other white areas. The notion that slaves under Islam or African areas were treated better is fiction. This is akin to the ancient myth that slaves in the South were part of the family.

Thus today we have the modern day know nothings of the Nation of Islam concocting a myth that Jews ran the slave trade. There were Jews and every other group involved in the Slave trade. There were plenty of blacks and Native Americans who also owned slaves. The fact that the NOI focuses on the role of Jews alone is more proof of the pathological Antisemitism of that group. Yet Farkhan and all the black followers of the NOI turn history on its head and ignore the Arab role in slavery. In fact where slavery exsists today we find the Sons of Allah reverting to form. What do the PC left define as racism . Israel a multi racial and religious solciety building a security fence to keep out terrorists. The black Sudanese sold into Slavery by Moooooslims gets scant notice except by religious Christians and Conservatives who have been complaining since the mid 1980's. Nor did the left say a word when Uganda expelled Indians and stole all their property. It does not saw a word when Mugabee steals white farms and lets his population starve.

The left has gotten a free pass on slave labor for too long. Gulag prisoners were modern day slaves created by Marx. The high mortality rates often produced worthless projects. Today Marxists avoid any discussion about Civil rights of gulag residents.

Myth Number four Free speech in the workplace is a right. This is also a myth as educators have a specific charge . Failure to perform is malfeasence and cause for termination.

Book Review The Force of Reason

Fallachi delivers the goods as promised. The book starts off a tad slow and reaches its peak arond Chapter ten and eleven. I wasn't thrilled with the last chapter. However, this book is short and at times blunt. Nobody has ever accused Fallachi of being soft spoken or circuitous.

This book is an enjoyable experience and highly recomended. Unlike most readers I am versed in some of the source material. Fallachi eloquently descibes the people who aid and abet Jihad as rainbow scarved degenerates. Long term readers are aware that this blog is familiar with such idiocy.

I want to point out the difference between responsible gay activists Rob and the rainbow scarved 167. Rob calls them as he sees them end of story end of agenda. He holds no sacred cows and will critique the idiocy of Falwell and that of muslim regimes that execute gays. 167 has flexible moralility and that is a prerequisite of Communists along with hypocisy. He has made the absurd statement that Iran and Saudi punishment of gays is justified. Yet he wants us to be outraged at the excecution of Tookie Williams. He wants us to move mountains for fake indigenous people while he mocks the plight of religious minorities in the Muslim world. The security fence is a great crime and blowing up busses and dance clubs is rationalized. Even after his city is attacked he blames the police for using "zionist methods " in an accidental killing. The notion that the police were on edge due to terrorism is a minor detail.

I am starting to wonder if we are investing too much energy on the Islam side of this fight. There are plenty of decent Muslims but they place themselves in jeapordy when they speak up. Saturdays NYT had a story on page one of a Syrian woman who is writing a book When God Is a Monster. Jihadism does not exist in a vacumand ignoring the far left partners of this illness is a mistake. I look at our familiar blogs and we have an almost mono focus on the genuine evils of Jihadism. However, our fight to reclaim our country must begin with those with the rainbow scarves.

The era of big media is over and the most subversive thing we can do is change the channel or vote with our feet. The days of the genteel response to Marxist bloviations must end. Oriana Fallachi has a nice tirade against the current batch of the Red Brigade. It comes a no surprise the forces of evil have united. Thus the Red Brigade sees itself making a common front with Saddam and Osama. The quote from the deranged Commie leader in the book looks eerily familiar to the statements of 167. There is zero linkage between Israel and Iraq in reality. The imaginary links between Israel and Iraq exist only in the mindless world of Communist logic.

Some of you think I am joking about a Commie obsession with Israel and Joooos. Commies are obsessed with Israel and oddly one will find more focus on Israel in the blog of 167 then in a Jewish blog. The mindless Revolutionary couch potato also adds in we must eliminate the zionist entity. Genuine misguided liberals do not play word games with Joooooo and zionist. They speak of rights for fake indigenous people that are allegedly opressed. The question of why Arabs elected to treat their brothers like hockey pucks is just never asked.

Commies are evil incarnate and should be granted no quarter. One may find a decent Muslim who wants to earn a living and be left alone. Communists deserve no quarter

Chapter 10 of The Force of Reason proves once again that Mr Beamish knows his material. Our Commie critics like poultry and the accolytes of 167 routinely call me facist or Nazi. Fallachi who lived through the era points out that fascism and its coralary Nazism were left wing. Those of who are new to this blog will have to read chapter ten. Nazism is not the antithesis of Communism it was its rival. People forget that Commies and Nazis divided Europe and had a peace treaty. The next chapter is a a point we drive home regularly. Communism and Islam are almost identical and readily work together. Jihadist and Commies share similar obsessions and readily work together. Thus Commies will attempt any justification of Islam to further their goals. Thus we have the comedic spectacle of 167 endorsing Capital punishment of Gays in Iran and Saudi Arabia , while getting hysterical about the execution of Tookie Williams. Only a true labotomy would ever prefer to be in a Sharia court instead of a California court. Those of you with a weak stomach avoid the part where Fallachi quotes from Khomeni's Blue book as the idiocies are beyond comprehension. It is forbidden to eat a domesticated animal once you have had relations with it. There is also talk of pedophelia and far left acceptance of female genital mutilation.

Paradise Never Was

Most of us have spent time on the familiar evil Utopians Jihadism and Marxism. However we must not forget there is a Utopian Green movement. They are one of the names that Commies hide behind. It is hardly a surprise that Joel " Deranged" Kovel and Norman " Crackpot" Finklestein call themselves Greens.

The basic premise is of a Green Eden that never was. Green crackpots talk of Vermont as a Valhalla. However after living with Vermonters I can assure you native Vermonters love their wildlife roasted, boiled , sauted and barbequed. The real crime against nature in Vermont is to serve the wrong wine and vegtable with game. I am always confused over the type of wine that goes with Muskrat or Racoon. Vermonter's do not tiptoe through the tulips and commune with nature. Native Vermonters move stealthily through the forrest and hunt those cute and cuddly forrest creatures. I got a lesson the other day when I swerved to miss a rabbit. The Vermonter behind me hit it and tossed it in the trunk. Native Vermonters are a tough lot even the women. I don't remember ever seeing women fight in bars in NYC but oddly
they seem to fight more then the men who are watching Nascar or sports.

The Greens seem to shape their opinions on Native American life from Mazzola Commercials. Native Americans lived shorter lives and worked hard to survive. A slacker endangered the survival of his entire community. Primitive agriculture is lavor intensive and there were no draft animals. The horse arrived with the Spainiards. The llama never caught on beyond the Andes. The notion that people were freer in this Green Eden is absurd as one has more time for leisure today.

Greens like any other Utopians believe they have a sacred truth. To pursue that truth
they will take shortcuts and use selective morality. Killing excess people to pursue this imagined Utopia is a real probability. No doubt that when all Utopians fail the blame gets shifted to imperfect people such as Stalin or Mao. Person X wasn't devout enough but the thought that Jihadism is not a rational way to run an economy is never considered.

In the case of Greens pursuing Paradise Lost it is in reality Paradise Never Was.

Many of us do not have the time to go through vollumes of books. Therefore it is vital that we pick and choose wisely. Fallachis historyof the brutal Islamic conquests is available elswehere in longer form. Most of us ( except poultry and those relegated to numbers )are aware of the reality of Jihad and Islamo Colonialism.
Thus we have the idiocy of the far left claiming Colonialism against a people whose very foundation is Colonialism.

Fallachi has made a minor error but experienced readers will pick it up. She describes her meeting with Yasser Arafat and then she talk of George Habbash. Habbash
is not a Muslim and a Palestinian Christian. The PLO was a Commie founded and led movement whose origins have drifted more towards Islam. The PLO is a creation of Nasser with an Egyptian front man . Yasser Arafat was born and educated in Cairo but somehow becomes a front man for fictional indigenous people. Habbash was a Marxist terrorist and much of the PLO training came from the Soviet Union. A short version of this is in The Black Book of Communism. Fallachi recounts Habbash telling her that Israel alone is not the target, but the entire West.

Fallachi gives an abreviation of Bat Yeor's book Eurabia. She tells the abreviated story of how Europe got into this mess. The sellout of Europe comes after the oil embargo. The vision of a European Middle Eastern partnership has devolved into cities within cities. My coworkers had a good laugh when the demands of the Islamo rioters in France were " out of the occupied territories in FRANCE".

Palestinianism as mentioned by Bat Yeor is a factless based religion amongst the left. We have had many far left types come with fairy tale clims of Palestinian tribes. We have heard the folk tales and illogic that the words Arab unity are linguistic refferences. Yet Palestinianism remains a myth as there never was a Palestinian people . This myth is an insult to genuine indigenous people world over.

This is a good book an excellent reading for experienced readers. It is invaluable to those of us who do not have the time to pour through vollumes. The next book I serialize will likely be that of fellow blogger Mark Alexander. I am looking for a comprehensive account of the Lebanese Civil War. It seems the far left thinks the war consists of a massacre carried out by Maronites and blamed on Ariel Sharon. The fact that plenty of Christians were butchered by Pseudostinians and other Mooooslim thugs seems forgotten. The left likes to invent massacres like Jenin and ignore real ones such as those in Hebron.

I am interupting my reading of Thomas Sowell to bring you The Force of Reason. Oriana Fallaci's earlier book is banned in several European Locales.I am curious if the Pride and the Rage is available in Australia. My guess is that it is available for now.

Fallaci delivered a rant that was priceless in the first book. Imagine a Mr Beamish style rant lasting 200 plus pages. Fallaci does not have Mr Beamishes sense of humor.
She is direct and on target and goes straight to the point.

In the introduction Fallaci compares the left to the new Inquisition and she has a point. One can write almost any type of anti semitic tract except Holocaust Denial in most of Europe. This is not enough for our professional anti semites like 167. Ducky may be deranged but he does not deny the Holocaust. He puts in some odd charges about Beakerkin covering up the Ukranian famine that is familiar to my family and was caused by Communists.

In fact the rash of household pet eating jokes on familiar blogs is due in part to my
retelling some family history in the style of Johnathan Swift. The dumbest person on the Web is the Bad Eagle poster Amerind . She espouses multicultural blame America and Christianity and the Joooos for everything. Then she turns around with fake non partisanship and plays the standard multicultural games with Islam and Communism. I decided to do a role reversal to illustrate the absurdity of multiculturalism by claiming my cultural legacy includes eating man's best friend. The entire rest of Bad Eagle got the obvious point of the comedic gem. Amerind grew upset and claimed I was mocking her dear departed pet and is still as clueless today as ever. The moral of the story is that to a dope like Amerind pc ends when we start to cooks dog. Killing civilians in the name of Allah and or Communism is just another example of well everyone else did......... The dog eating has spread beyond Bad Eagle and may arrive at a blog near you.Remember it was not gratuitous dog eating there is a point
to the comedy.

More curiously some Muslims have been complaining the Deranged Chemist is anti Mooooslim. This was due to the fact he had the nerve to post the Mohammed cartoons and say much of the hysteria was unjustified. The same Derranged Chemist is from the Bush Lied Troops Died school of thought. He regularly goes on long rants against fundamentalist Christians but only now has the relevation occured wwwwwell they do not behead anyone. The furor at the Chemist is even more odd because he is a genuine anti Semite. He has recently posted that Israel is a terrorist nation and compared it with Iran. He also defends playing word games with Joooo and Zionism ala 167. In fairness to the Chemist he does not play games with the Holocaust. His friend 167 has posted articles linked to David Irvings Institute for Historical Review. 167 does also defend the President of Iran and capital punishment of homosexual in Iran and Saudi Arabia " because they are all guilty ". The fact that both Iran and Saudi Arabia use genuine torture in their criminal justice system is just a trivial detail.
167 rails over the execution of Tookie Williams because it was "racist".

This leads into the opening of Fallaci's book. Anti Semitism and Anti Americanism are
considered praise worthy and a virtue on the far left. There are the plethora of 9-11
conspiracy books in Europe. However, the second one starts to go into the real history and reality of Islam one is a racist. Thus if one starts to recount the obvious brutal history of Islamic Jihads one is racist, Islam is still not a race. These colonial expansions and predations preceeded the Crusades. However, that is just an irrelevant detail. Muslims exterminated the Jooooos in Saudi Arabia and invaded Israel. The Jews had been there well over 2000 years before the Mooooslim invasions. There are no Palestinians and the term in its current context was invented largely after the Arabs got their clocks cleaned in the Six Day War. The war was started by the illegal closing of the straights of Tiran by Nasser. This is a fact the left ignores when they cry about the Six Day War.

Fallaci's first chapter gives you the real story of Islam in Europe. The slavery and the executions and the Jannisaries are all there. Yet for some insane reason the Marcusian morons still put Mooooooslims on top of the list of victims. The cult of the insane left include Gays that defend Muslims killing gays. There is a bright side that the Moooslims do make alliances with the far left. However after they take power they kill them. This was the pattern of the Iranian Revolution and the aid of the Iranian Communist is a forgotten story. The Iranians jailed and executed many of their former allies.

This book is not likely to be displayed prominently if at all in your local bookstore. I had to hunt for copies of David Horowitz's book the Professors whil Jimmy "Penut" Carters books were stacked in a huge display. There is an answer to this perfidity buy your books on Amazon . Amazon is more then happy to fill your orders without the attitude and games at the book stores. I got my copy from a small store that is more then happy to do business. In fact some of my odd book selections get purchased in a second wave by locals . I purchased Sword of the Prophet by Tifkovic in July and four others were purchased shortly after.

Book Review Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man

The book goes over familiar themes that all of us should know. Michael Moore did not grow up in Flint. Michael Moore is a lazy disgusting oaf whose statements are idiocy.
Michael Moore is a shameless self promoter who uses fake methods. The best part of the book is Christopher Hitchens dismemberment of Farenhieght 9-11.

I will add my own Michael Moore story. Moore likes to ignore relevant facts and only the brain impaired like 167 buy this BS. The tragic story of Kayla Rolland was presented as welfare reform causes gun violence amongst kids. Left out were the relevant facts the kid lived in a crackhouse and his father was doing hard time.

One could make any sort of linkage in the case. The kid in question was driven to shoot his classmate because the store ran out of two ply toilet paper. Another hypothesis is that he was driven to violence by listening to Snoop Doggy Dogg songs.
All these theories are as absurd as the one Moore advances.

Book Review Time Mark Levins Men in Black

I will issue two grades to this book. For those of you outside the USA this book is not for you. However if you live in the USA and are worried about Civil Rights for people at Gitmo start reading.

Levin's first point is that Judges are men. No man should be put up on a pedestal. Judges are subject to human frailties that the rest of us are. The original intent of the framers has been perverted by judicial activism.

The court has twisted the Commerce clause so it can rule on almost anything. My family (distant ) makes a cameo in Schecter vs the Supreme Court. Levin demonstrates that twisting the Commerce clause has allowed the court to impose socialism on the American people.

Most importantly Levin points out the power to conduct war is granted to the President. It is not unusual for the USA to house enemy combatants. However the Court has invented new rights to trial for ememy combatants. These rights were not granted in any previous war. In fact the court ignored its own precedent in Johnson vs Eisentrager. The court can not issue the writ of habeus corpus to people who have never set foot on American soil.

However liberals still are worried about Civil Rights for terrorists. One person X talks to known terrorist Y probable cause is established. Criminal acts were never
protected under the US Constitution. One can make a case that a Marxist by definition has established probable cause. Anyone who advocates Jihad may have also demonstrated probable cause.

More Constitutional Imagination The notion of Privacy

Most of you know my positions on homosexuality and abortion. In an ideal world people should be left alone as much as possible. Gays should not be persecuted or be given extra rights. We all have a right to be fleeced on April 15 every year.

My problem with the focus of the law is the placement of imaginary concepts into law and the problem with incrementalism. The current dogma is that one has a "right to privacy ". No you are protected from baseless searches. Mark Levin goes through the history of incrementalism of this absurd notion.

Do I have a right to build a drug lab in my bedroom ? Do I have a right to build an atomic weapon in my bedroom ? Do I have a right to film botanical pornography in my bedroom ?

There has never been a right to commit criminal acts in privacy or public. The last example is legal but a stretch of the imagination. I can see people rushing out to buy Trees behaving badly as we speak. The ultimate example of this insanity are the left wing critics of external radiation sweeps of Mosques in the USA.

The key in any search is probable cause. If Law enforcement has a reasonable suspicion then a warranted search is advisable. Once person X has communicated with terrorist Y probable cause has been established. One can easily make a case that Marxist by definition of who they are and their history have established probable cause generations ago.

The notion of privacy starts in the case Griswald vs Con. The case was about birth control in CT and has been expanded to include every type of behavior. The opinion
of Justice Douglas who would have a Clintonian episode with a flight attendant in the
Supreme Court has been twisted like a pretzel. Justice KKK Black whom the left loves for his imaginary wall between religion and state dissented.

Now this being said I am still a supporter of Gay rights as human rights. Gays should not be persecuted because of their proclivities. Human rights in the Constitution are granted to each one of us by our creator, not some nut in a Black Robe. The notion that the sex police are out there waiting to catch sexual deviants is a farce. The basic point is that the legislature should make laws. The Courts should enforce laws created by the legislature. Sadly we have rouge activists who are dedicated to legislating from the bench. This is not what our founding fathers had in mind.

Mark Levin and Constitutional Imaginations

The First Amendment was designed to protect against the establishment of a state sponsored Church. It was designed so that religious minorites could be free to worship or abstain. As a religious minority I am not threatened by anyones religious practices as long as those practices do not advocate criminal behavior. I am unconcerned about those who relagate unbelievers to hell because we do not share a certain religious philosophy.

However, exhortations to commit criminal acts against Jews, Gays or Red Sox fans are a violation of the first amendment. Once you have exhorted violence against any group you have exceeded the boundaries of the First Amendment. Jihad does not mean struggle and is in realiy a crimninal exhortation to violence. Islam itself has a lengthy history of Colonialism and human rights violations. In real terms praise the Prophet and practice your religion peaceably. The second one starts advocating Jihad criminal acts and possible sedition have occured. Your right to freedom of religion also does not trump my right to free speech via cartoons.

Thus we have the odd specter of the imagined wall between Church and State but it is not expressly in the Constitution. It comes from an insertion of a Thomas Jefferson

Most of the objection comes from Marxists who are by definition dedicated to the overthrow of the United States government.

The sole source of this is obviously the Constitution itself. However several Supreme Court Justices Ginsburg, Kenedy, Stevens and O'Connor have been quoting foriegn law in their precedents. Foriegn law has no bearing on the laws of the United States. The use of foriegn law in the US Supreme Court is malfeasence. Ginsburg was the council for the ACLU and was never held up to any type of scrutiny. Her positions and the ACLU's ties with Communist front groups should have been explored. However the media and the Country Club republicans gave her a free pass.

Levin demonstrates how Judicial activism and ignoring the Constitution has created
dreadful legal precedents such as upholding Slavery as property rights ( Dred Scott),
Segregation (Plessy vs Furgeson)and the internment of Japanese (Korematsu vs the Supreme Court).

The activists have been legislating from the bench and that was not the intended role of the court. We have courts that raise property taxes, grant expensive benefits to illegal aliens and allow siezure of private property to increase the tax base. The job of the court has been to rule on the Constittionality of legislation and not impose it via edict or judical fiat.

Sowell's hypothesis is that the traits and lifestyles that the Multicultuiralist view as authentic remanants of slavery or authentic black behaviors are vestiges from
maladapted first residents dominant culture. Gangster Rap with the exagerated and gratuitous violence draws from a Southern propensity of Honor duelings. Thus the inner city refrain of violence due to being "dissed" is part of something much older.

Sowell points out that the vast prepoderance of black figures praised by Afrocentrists were educated in NE missionary schools in the South. Sowell also points
to the rise and industry in the South by immigrants who brought their cultures with them.

In NYC West Indians often out achieve domestic blacks in schools. There is often tension between the groups. The West Indians are portrayed as snooty or upity or house negroes by the Native blacks. Book Review. In Denial by Haynes and Klehr .

I strongly urge those who are interested in the peversion of history to read this book. This book deals with Communist subversion of the USA in the Cold War dirrectlty. American Communists were not innocent victims of McCarthyism. They were a treasonous appologists for a system that has killed more people then any other in history.

The book deals with the backflips and leaps of logic of the Accademic left in greater detail then Horowitz book. If you wonder why your Journalist are messed up look no further then Prof Navasky of Columbia. This journalism professor is still defending Alger Hiss after the opening of the Soviet Archives and the Vennona Cables.

The book makes the comparison of allowing Holocaust Denniers to teach the history of the Holocaust in the USA. Another interesting comparison is the responso of the Authors to the current fad saying that people who spied for the Soviet Union were motivated by Social Justice or had a " different type of patriotism". The authors correctly point to the advocates of Confederacy who claimed that Slavery was a moot point.

The amount of backflips and leaps of logic by Professors Buhle, Joel "deranged" Kovel, Ellen Schreker, Navasky and others boggle the mind. Every evidence damaging to Commies is a fraud. An Accidental Brush with History

Longterm readers know that I am a Native New Yorker. I now work for DHS in Northern Vermont but this chapter of my life began thirteen years ago today. A chance trip downtown became a voyage into history.

On February 23, 1993 I was a brand new batchelor and behaving poorly. I wasn't seeing any one girlfriend in particular and juggling a few. There was no long term relationships so there was no misbehavior but I was in no definition a model citizen.
The story begins with a big mouthed coworker whom I also dated asked the wrong girlfriend about a Broadway show.

Well I had to think fast because Rosie was the cream of that crop. She wasn't the most beautiful but she was brilliant lively and a skilled professional. A logistics manager is trained to think on his feet. Every day we turn the impossible into the done and our reward is to do it again tommorow. Using the quick thinking I explained that my cowoker was mistaken and I see theatre all the time and that I was planning to take her the next day. Rosie had two minor flaws lousy taste in men and a fearsome temper. You did not want to be on the receiving end when she was angry.


The discount theatre ticket was at the WTC. The half price tickets for the Next days shows were in the mezzanine of one of the towers. A pain in the rear end buyer was breaking my chops about an airshipment to Rockford Ill and delayed me . My main job done I ran out to catch the N or R train. I just missed a train and these delays would prove significant later.

I think I went into the East River Savings bank that was across the street for cash.
I entered the builing after crossings Church Street. I heard a big bang and felt a vibration but I didn't seem to think about it too much . My main thought was getting
those tickets for Rosie.

I approached the mezanine an thick smoke was coming from the ground. Everyone thought a train crashed in the PATH station below . I was upset because there was no way I was going to get my tickets for Rosie.

I ran back out across Church Street and grabbed a bus going UPtown. This whole series of events seems like hours but it was less than ten minutes. I got a bite to
eat and returned to my office . My cowokers looked at me as if they had seen a ghost.
They told me the WTC was bombed and I told them that it isn't true I just came from there.

It was hard to get radio as the signals were knocked out and TV was even worse. The city was in a panic with a series of rumors Anarchists, FALN, Weatherpeople. Who else would attack an Office Building.

However my thoughts were not of explosions or the WTC. I was wondering what would I say to Rosie. At that moment I would rather have taken my chances in the WTC then to face an angered Rosie. I called Rosie and she let me have it. She yelled so loud the person two desks away could hear it. "You cheap %&%&*^%& go down to the box office
and pay full price. What do you think I am one of your discount ^*^*&( . "

I did run out my office straight to the box and got the best seats available. I took her to the show and an expensive dinner afterwards and believe it or not the subject
of my getting blown up never was discussed. She was angry at some inter office stuff and at some relatives and I had to listen. She was a remarkable woman in every other
respect just dangerous when angered.

For years later my cluelessness in the middle of a bombing and panic aqbout Rosie was a running joke for years. " He's so clueless he was in a building that was blown up and didn't even notice".
