Last Gasp of the Regime

The Pro-Mubarak forces probably did their worst yesterday. The military did not join their ranks and his fate is sealed. At 83, Mubarak seems more apt to follow the example of Pinochet and leave with his money than be a commie zombie in perpetuity like Ducky's boy Castro.

I am off to spend time with the daughter. I will be leaving for parts unknown next week. I started the anti malarials yesterday and the side effects are not too bad.
The results came back from the lab and apparently my health is very good, but must be monitored. The exact cause of the frequent violent bouts of illness remains unknown. It was commonly assumed that my pet was accidentally transmitting food poisoning but this may not be the case.

I am going to try to go to the Bronx Zoo on Saturday morning. My daughter got this crazy idea that my mother made one plate of food for five kids. My mother explained that everyone ate the same meal and there was plenty of food. The notion of a kid getting a special meal never happened when I was her age. I do buy her a special meal
as she hates curry and it makes me violently ill, but this is different. I will be eating falafel and baby spinach and she doesn't like that stuff.

Duncy

Cleaning a repiles tank without gloves is risky. Dogs do not pose the same danger. I let my dog eat some of the food like turkey and chicken, He mostly likes the lamb bones/

Turtles can be big time carriers of salmonella. Some states now have laws regulating the size and number of turtles you can have or age limit of the possessor because of the salmonella issue. However, salmonella never stopped me and my buddies from handling thousands of turtles, a few alligators and assorted other wildlife, and yet somehow, we managed to survive and thrive without all these recent government protections.

However, routine precautions and sanitation are good to follow and can eliminate any threat. You've been a little careless there Beak! Tsk, tsk.

However, you can get salmonella just as well from chicken, being around pigeons, drinking unpurified tap water or eating produce fertilized with human waste, such as what is often shipped in from Mexico and China. But that's different. That's international commerce and the feds don't want to PO those two nations.

The Dr. seems to think the little guy is innocent and these attacks are something else.

Have you had any Mexican or Chinese or another foreign country's produce lately? I wasn't being flippant when I said there is often some problems connected with import foodstuffs.

Gator

I had always assumed it is the little guy. Changing the turtles tank is a large chore.

I have been eating a large amounts of foreign produce.

The Doc does think that what I assumed to be was salmonella may be something else. When I get back I will likely be in for many more tests but the turtle stays.
