On the road

I should be leaving at 5AM for my return to VT. Curtis and Kuby will keep me company until Albany. If the weather holds I will use the Ticonderoga Bridge. My trip is through the NY State Adirondak mountains. The Vermont side is fairly boring.

Beak,
Did you get caught in a deluge? Here in the D.C. area we had over 5 inches of rain in a matter of two hours. So far, here at our house, we haven't lost power, but if we do, we'll be swimming for it. Our basement has a sump pump!

Lots of roads are closed and so are some government buildings. Even the National Zoo is closed--Rock Creek!

I ran into a nasty storm at Saratoga. I had to pull off the road fuel up and try again. I was lucky that a Keebler truck was in front of me. The Keebler Elf guided me for fifty miles.

I did go through the Ticonderoga Pass with minimal difficulty. However if visability is low I pulled off and waited

We're getting intermittent downpours here. I decided not to make my piano-teaching run today as that particular road floods easily.

Glad to hear that you're okay, Beak.
